Absolute facts. The most warm welcoming communicty just hiddien away next to san dimas and a lake and groves 8 miles away. Although I will say this, the cops here are very respectful. Nothing is perfect but compared to other so cal cities WCPD seem to actually wanna pretect and serve. Kudos where kudos are due. Unlike the LAPD, and GCPD.
I disagree. The police dont antagonize the people there. I worked as a taxi driver in all those SoCal cities and Covina above all the other cities the police would take the keys from drunkards and ask me to take them home. Rancho is awesome but was the opposite and Chino was on my list for great cities to live in, in that area.
There are many safe areas in LA county, I can name a few for you that are pretty local. La Canada, Montrose, La Crescenta, South Pasadena, San Marino, Temple City, Arcadia, Monrovia. All are much much safer than West Covina.

I’ve lived in West Covina for about more than 35 years. Our house was burglarized 30 some years ago but haven’t had problems since. The only complaint I have are inconsiderate neighbors who throw big parties and turn the music way up for the entire neighborhood and doesn’t know when to quit. But these uncivilized folks only moved in in recent years with the new housing developments on the hills near my neighborhood.
I live in west covina and I see alot of things that go unreported. That's why they made the list. I have seen crimes happen and people refuse to press charges or don't report it. I know of 4 apartment complexes that the police call unsafe after dark
West Covina has good middle class homes, but there is also a lot of low income projects and lots of cholos on bicycles slanging dope. West Covina and Baldwin Park is not the safest place. lol
false news . i lived in west covina for 15 years and theres drugs addicts on every corner. alot of stores went out of business because of non stop shop lifting and robberies. 10 years ago it was safe when home owners still lived there, but when they all moved out and rented out the homes they got a bunch of multiple families renting out one home with alot of gangster drug addict teens who started stealing from the communities . that was my main reason of leaving west covina couldn't deal with it anymore. i forgot to mention i use to manage 2 stores in west covina and during 2017-2021 vandalism and crime was at its highest peaks every day .

I lived in West Covina for 15 years and moved to northern California 6 years ago. I don't know what whacked statistics are being looked at, but West Covina has it's share of crime, gang problems, drugs, and other problems. It is not necessarily a bad place to live, but it is by no means a safe city to live in. It is too close to Baldwin Park and La Puente.
That’s great news. I lived there before I’m moved to South County. It’s a great city with everything and their police dept is really good as well. San Gabriel Valley is easy to get to DTLA. Loved the neighborhoods around WC.

I absolutely love this city. I have friends all over cali, and the us. Ive traveled to many many countries. This place is like a less known irvine ca. And that makws it perfect. The school strip on cameron is gorgeous especially with the snow peaked mountains in the bg. And the people here are just perfect. (I lived in lacrescenta / glendae for the most of my time in cali, trash cities. Trash people, trash city culture)
Still have to watch out with assault and robbery, home burglaries, package thefts, catalytic converter thefts, cars and car parts theft. All in that area. They're out there scouting and hunting right there next to the coyotes

I lived in both West Covina and Rancho Cucamonga. Both have some very expensive gated communities and hillside neighborhoods. Both are pretty good. What's crazy is you can go east of Rancho two miles and be in the pit of Fontana. Or west of WC and be in both Baldwin Park and El Monte which are gang infested toilets. Bassett, Valinda, La Puente, Azusa, City of Industry all border West Covina and are amongst the worst places to live and are are full of convicted felons and several gangs. Amazing how just a few miles can have you accidentally stray into some of the worst areas of the San Gabriel Valley.
Those are not gang infested toilets. I mean they are not nice neighborhoods, pretty industrial but don't be so dramatic. You could safely live in any of those communities. For me the biggest problem would be the summer heat in any part of the San Gabriel Valley.
