    Watching your videos, I think you have the most amazing, beautiful young boys. They are well mannered and respectful and that all comes back to parenting. Well done Laura and Ross. You should be proud.

    What a beautiful family, not unlike most families. You have difficulties and we all have difficulties. But unlike many families, you are working through those difficulties and moving forward as opposed to allowing them to paralyze you. The wonders of your travels will provide years of joys and memories for all of you as you all grow older. Your family will forever be part of each of you.

    Oh Laura, bless you. I’ve had fibromyalgia for the better half of my life and I’m 65 now. You certainly do take a good care of taking good care of your self. At one point I was so depressed. I gained so much weight I ended up having to get a gastric bypass, and then I’ve been working on it ever since. In fact, tomorrow I’m going in to get nerves burnt in my back and then June I get to look forward to a new hip with these two things done, I’m hoping to be able to go on hikes and even be able to walk around the block with my grandson now. Walking is become increasingly difficult. with that said, I have looked too be at peace with fibromyalgia, and grateful that I have that, and not some thing else. There are many things that are much worse. Not saying that Phibro isn’t bad enough on its own, but for me, I have been grateful. And you must be so proud of the brave little man that you have that stable to talk about his challenges. Good on him. Sending love from California.💜🤗🤟🏻🇺🇸

And I’m very fortunate to have been a health and wellness coach for many years because applying that knowledge to my lifestyle definitely has made fybro completely manageable so that I can cope when life throws the big curve balls….feel for you and Thankyou for your comment xx

    I know several people who have certain conditions. One of them uses conditions as an excuse for how they are. I hope that another one of those people is like you and Josh. Instead of using conditions as an excuse you treat them as a step to grow more and climb higher than you would have without those conditions. Well done both of you.

    What a wonderful episode, to open up so honestly is a true inspiration. Our lad was born 5 weeks premature with issues, so that really touched us - he's a fantastic 12 year old now and taller than his mum! This is why your channel is so watchable for us, not the usual glossy unrealistic nonsense, but a truly uplifting escape. Already looking forward to the next episode. X

    What a beautiful island Patmos thanks for taking me on your walk you were defo on top of the world. There’s one thing you have to be on a boat is share space be friends and get on and you all seem to do that 🦋. I do understand your illness as my eldest daughter has Lupas which she has many other problems one being Fibromyalgia 😢 Also ADHD well Josh for speaking out about it this could help other people who have children the same but don’t realise or won’t own up to the fact their child has it because they think their child is being labelled 😒 but in fact they could gets lots of help and that child or person would have a better life 😀 Anyway boys you have a wonderful life with your great parents doing what lots of kids may never do. Hope to see lots more of your wonderful life take care xx 🥰🦋💕🌞😎

    Great episode! I was thinking it would be really good if you made a video on where to start when embarking on journey like this. For example should someone have training before sailing, what to look for when purchasing a boat, different insurances you may need etc. I think more people like myself would definitely be open to a life on the water it’s knowing where to start is the hard part.
    Great content always a relaxing watch.

    Thank you for sharing your life and vulnerabilities with us and the RUclips world. We are not a big fan of sailing channels with kids but yours are just phenomenal and we are excited to follow these two lads turn into gentlemen. I am a physician and know the struggles of the stigmata associated with mental illness and I am so proud of Josh for wanting to talk about his ADHD. I want to it stop stop being called mental illness, it is all physiologic and medical in etiology!!
    Another question I have is how do you guys get a visa for so long to stay in Greece?

    …and Joshy can do anything! One day he may be even an ER doctor. Our hiccups in our physical design need only define us if we choose to let them. Those traits some would label as weaknesses may become superpowers when applied with loving patience. The world is in need of people with limitless energy!

    • @SailingHollyBlue
      @SailingHollyBlue  2 года назад +1

      100% agree! Josh’s superpowers are a photographic memory, limitless energy, deep emotional empathy, total lack of fear, mathematical wizardry to name a few! He just needs guidance to help him harness them because without direction he feels lost and scattered….but we spend a lot of time teaching him about himself and helping him learn his unique qualities and how he can use them to create his best life! We 100% believe that you can see life through two lenses….you can either see yourself as limited or limitless ♥️🤘⚓️

We have found researching and understanding the cognitive reasons behind behaviour means we can try to ‘see things’ from Josh’s perspective and always try to be aware of the simple things like hunger, over stimulation (usually video games haha!), tiredness or external stress that might be affecting his state of mind….us humans are all complex in our own way so supporting josh has taught us to be more understanding of people in every day life too!
