Hi Optimum Tech, you said in the video replacing the stock pads could improve the glide. I wanted to know with what pads did you replace yours, specifically what pads did you use on the Superlight at 3:00. Are they CorePads, Tiger Ice, Tiger Arcs or are they something entirely else?
Not really related to this video but I think it would be cool if you wold do an undervolt alder lake guide since it's a different architecture and your last intel undervolting guide seems to be a few years old
Switched from G502 Hero to GPX superlight, and man it was the best decision ever. The lightweight of GPX makes so much difference in FPS games. And it's great for different types of grip, you can experiment a lot with it. Nice review, thanks Optimum Tech!
I went to it from the Viper Ultimate and there is no contest. Tracking and hip fire is just so much better, the weight is superb and it absolutely destroys it in battery life.
Forward placed sensors will murder you quicker than the opposition in a tac shooter like Valorant. Zowie EC, some Steelseries and here we have Logitech also smartly implementing a central/slightly further back placement, allowing for the slightly but vital, higher margin of error in wrist arc aim distance. Like when Mr Haus Beard of Finland confusedly said with the GPX he always found himself having to lower sensitivity. (SLIGHTLY forward sensor)
Super high quality review as always, and I have to point out that insight you gave us about the sensor positioning and how it would affect in practical use. That's so relevant to the buyer, and that shows how you've been owning the review game lately.
I bought it just because I already use a claw/fingertip hybrid grip. I gotta say, easily the most comfortable and best mouse I've ever owned. I love it. Tried going back to my Superlight just to see how it felt, and it just felt weird in my hand.
Me too play claw/fingertip and after 1 month using G303 shroud i buyed razer viper mini because i feel like a playing brick when using g303 shroud and have better scores in aim lab when i using razer viper mini in first day lol. How u play now? Still G303 Shroud?
@@shadowhook5669 This is the god mouse if you are primarily a wrist aimer using mouse acceleration and playing at high sensitivity, it offers the best grip and stability for that type of aimers, probably a hard pass if you play on very low sensitivity and use your arm alot.
For me, being someone who has been buying every damn light weight gaming mouse out there for the past few years, including the new Starlight-12 from Finalmouse, I have to say that this mouse is an absolute game changer personally. I have finally been able to end what felt like an endless, money pit search for my "endgame" mouse. I can confidently say without any doubt in my mind that this mouse is the best mouse for me. It has considerably improved my aim due to a significant increase in control I have over my mouse movements. What mice were lacking for my grip style was "width" and "specific angles" for consistency and confidence in my mouse grip. Every time I lay my hands on this mouse my hands know exactly how to grip the mouse in a specific way that feels comfortable and natural for me while increasing my accuracy.
How does receiver placement affect latency? Is there a noticeable benefit when using a receiver extender vs having it directly in your PC? How have you been using the receiver in all your tests?
THANK GOD LOGITECH YES! For those who think it's a weird shape, try holding one in your hand. Great review O.T as always. I Just ordered my copy from Best Buy the other day, just had to try it. The shape is super unique to me, & honestly, not completely sure if it would even suite my grip style, with my weird relaxed claw/fingertip hybrid grip (Med-hands) at 1600Dpi. I'm using the SuperlightX as my main, I have G203 and that's the closest I shape that comes to the G303 so been using that lately so when my G303 comes It would be easier for me to adjust. It is steep price tag at $130, or actually $140 total =/ with that extra Shroudy tax, but Imo is justified with Logitech's 25K Hero sensor and their amazing L-battery they use. Love how G303's Ptfe feet have that large surface area, but would probably switch them out with some Core Pads or Tiger Ice feet & slap on some BT.L grips from LGG when they come out, but at the end of the day it will all come down to how the Shape of the 303 will fit in my hand. Some mouse brands do not optimize the sensor, so the LOD ( lift of distance ) is quite high, typically the Razer. I used to use Razer DA v2, Razer Viper, Viper mini and their LOD is higher than 2mm ( 2 DVDs ). When I lift of the mouse to refresh the position of mousepad surface, its still tracking even both sensor and the mouse don't touch the mousepad. In my opinion, PixArt sensor on Zowie mice and HERO sensor on Logitech gaming mice is the ultimate weapon for FPS gamers at the moment. The LOD is perfect, it's just under 1.2mm or 1mm 😁

The most important thing about getting a new mouse is the shape, most mice have a great response time so that does not matter that much. If buying a new mouse I would look at shape, then durability, and then weight. GPX is the safest mouse so if you can’t pick one then just get the GPX

Try the G703. Same shape as the MDW, grips on the side, way better battery life, and you don't have to worry about spilling anything into the mouse on accident.
I loved my G302 Daedalus Prime, the original one and predecessor of G303 Daedalus Apex. It's meant for the agressive claw grip and plays well with MOBAs especially. I do believe they made improvements with the Shroud edition by extending the width and height which I do believe will make it more comfortable. Still, with this mouse you're able to react faster than a normal relaxed palm grip. It is definitely great for eSports.
I tried the 303 for about two weeks and came back to the superlight. It's cool and might be perfect for a small portion of the population. But the mouse feels awful unless I'm in a very specific grip and it's not very relaxed. Feels clunky and aggressive when I compare it to the superlight. 19.5x9.5 ftr.
It the same like me 19,5x9,5. I buyed this g303 shroud because i read is best mouse for claw grips etc. And maybe is convenient in hand for grip but i feel playing like a brick. After using 1 month this g303 shroud i buyed Razer viper mini and my scores in 1 day in aim labs is better :/ xd Even though the mouse is very agile, I feel like it could be a little bigger so i try to test Razer Viper Ultimate or Razer Viper 8khz. Because i use too often fingertip when i using viper mini. Mouse for claw grip should be a narrow because grip need to be a confident for precision. G303 shroud it comercial shit for kids
Could you test the mouse Pulsar Xlite Wireless, which is a more ergo mouse. Would be interesting to get your take on that mouse. Great review btw, I liked the old g303.
i got the g303 about 6 months ago because of my terrible mouse grip that relied on 3 fingers on my mousepad and forced me to use a better more ergonomic grip, and about three months in i spilled sprite all over it. When the sprite finally took a toll on the mouse and it stopped working, i bought a g305 as a quick cheap replacement and it made me realize i can never use another mouse again. the g303 is such a unique mouse that if you like it you cant use anything else ever again
Could you test Razer Deathadded V2 Pro Wireless? here, its priced almost identically with Viper Ultimate and they're quite different but I was wondering if the latency is similar and in general, your thoughts
im interested because ive found the g900/903 to be th emost comfortable because they slope inward on the sides toward the front like the g303 shroud. idk why, but the g903 shape was perfect for me.
Despite its angular shape, I found the original G303 mouse (it was wired) to be quite comfortable to use and worked well with my hybrid grip. Right now the Logitech G305 and Razer Orochi V2 are my current go to mice for the most part (I have a few other wireless mice from Razer and Logitech) with the Orochi winning out on overall feel of the buttons. If the wireless G303 feels far less mushy than the G305 then this will be an instant buy for me and the G305 can go to on the second hand market or Good Will or whatever.
7:14 ... Genuine question- So would you say that switching between mice for different games is bad for consistency? I use a Rival 5 for league because I love using the side buttons. But whenever I play fps I switch to my other mouse. Could switching between the two cause inconsistency that I'm not noticing?
The superlight is still top dawg bur the hyperx haste wireless is really good sleeper with similar shape but some nice upgrades out the box. May have to try this one. Wish they would update the superlight too
I have loved G303 shape since the G302 came out and I tried it. But the Shroud version is much better still with a more pronounced rear for better control still with your palm. And the old G302/303 were amazing in that regard. For me SO FAR - I just got it 5 days ago, but the feel and performance of the G303 Shroud is a 9.5/10 - best mouse ever so far
I've tried to like the GPX Superlight but the front of the mouse is just too high. I have large hands a claw grip and prefer something with a lot lower profile. The GPX is also super slippery until your hands warm up because the shape is just so pill-like.
Yep, that's my problem with the G Pro and Superlight. I end up getting fatigue because of the front of the mouse being high. Did you find a mouse you like?
I'm only half decent at video games. I have bought all of the best mice on the market including super light and noticed no difference. Best thing I did was aim training which did improve my aim for the time I did it, nowadays is pretty mediocre.
Was considering getting it but I'm a fingertip player. I have a superlight with modded feet and its very good one year later. The only thing I wish it had was a dpi button which I switch a lot depending on the game and switch back to google chrome.
Amazing review, thanks for that quality content. I bought a G303 and totally love it, i guess i got the hand size and grip for it. I see why some ppl will hate it tho.

I know is pretty hard to do, but you have the knowledge and the tools. I have the superlight and bought the g303 to see how it is. IMO the g303 is a great mice but its not the shape you want. Its a bit larger and wider. The corners are aggressive but you can grip it pretty good. You must have a medium to large hand to use the g303. But overall great mice
I've had it for months and was in love, never aimed better, but lately my hand started to hurt, it's an insane aggresive shape. I loved it but had to go back to GPWX only because of that.
Can I change the DPI button to act as mouse wheel click through the software? I prefer to have an extra button I can use to bind stuff to, rather than having a DPI cycle button I'm never going to use.
tried the 303 wireless for a day and my thumb is really sore. i guess i’m more of a fingertip grip user so the claw grip that the mouse forced me into was super uncomfortable. used my superlight for the rest of the night and felt so much less strain
yea seems like the 303 is for a more aggressive player but i guess that’s what you have to do if you’re trying hard. if you just want to play for fun it’s probably not a good choice
idk if my hands count as medium, but the superlight feels a bit too big for me, like holding a can of beans. I use an aggressive claw grip, and my favorite size right now is the viper mini. Do you think this mouse would be a good fit for me, or should I just wait for the viper mini ultimate?
Waiting on my starlight 12 phantom as well. They might have fixed my main concern with the weight of clicks feeling too hard to press by going with the kailh switches. I found myself moving my mouse accidentally by trying to click on the older omrons. They felt really good, but it made my aim worse. Also got a medium size this time around instead of the small I had last time, so hopefully it fits my larger hands better. Excited for the results of that when it arrives for you and I
Its interesting that you say the g303 is more suited to larger hands, since to me it looks noticeably smaller than the superlight. I have quite small hands so this is usually a big determining factor for me.
For starters your reviews are our hands down the best. To to the point, no fluff love it. I will say that the AAA mice seem to be lacking on some basic things. At that price point they should have the best feet, and switches.
I got an idea for you- You could play Apex (or any other game) with some of your subs and talk about certain things in tech, their hardware, what they like and don't like about it, etc. Kind of like a soft podcast but whilst playing a competitive game. Would be cool to have that as weekly vid or something! If you like this idea, I'm down to run some Apex games - Love from a fan from London, U.K
I'm currently using an Aerox 3 (the original version, with the smaller skates, not the updated one), and since I have large-ish hands and that I use a claw grip for gaming, this mouse doesn't seem half bad really. I was hloding off for a Superlight cause come on, micro USB? That migh not be of a concern for a lot of people but it definetly is to me. I'll see if the price is right where I live, and will maybe switch, i don't know yet
For how little it needs charging, micro USB isn't a dealbreaker. However, it's less alluring that the G303 because you don't need to stuff as many cables in the draw.
Hey you should do a review on the HyperX pulsefirehaste, HyperX mice before were pretty bad but this one had incredible value. Other than that great vid
he made a review on that like months ago, maybe even years ago (i forgot). he named it a "top tier mouse", you only heard of the haste now because it used to have qc and sensor issues
I got both to try em out and g303 wins for me because of the locked in feel. The superlight is nice but the absence of the dpi button annoys me because I rebind it to be a pause/play button for my music. The only gripe I have with the g303 is the scroll wheel reverb when placing it down quickly.

Could you test the mouse Pulsar Xlite Wireless, which is a more ergo mouse. Would be interesting to get your take on that mouse. Great review btw, I liked the old g303.
I had a daedalus prime in the past, and really love it. Now im striving for this shroud one.
i got the g303 about 6 months ago because of my terrible mouse grip that relied on 3 fingers on my mousepad and forced me to use a better more ergonomic grip, and about three months in i spilled sprite all over it. When the sprite finally took a toll on the mouse and it stopped working, i bought a g305 as a quick cheap replacement and it made me realize i can never use another mouse again. the g303 is such a unique mouse that if you like it you cant use anything else ever again
Yooo a new upload! Pog
Old G302 was my main CS:GO mouse. I wanted to get the old G303, but it was out of stock pretty much everywhere. 8 years later, here we are.
best peripheral channel there is hands down.
I gave my g305 away as soon as my g303SE came in. The width caught me a bit off coming from a g303, but overall I'm really liking it.
7:14 ... Genuine question- So would you say that switching between mice for different games is bad for consistency?
I use a Rival 5 for league because I love using the side buttons.
But whenever I play fps I switch to my other mouse.
Could switching between the two cause inconsistency that I'm not noticing?
If youre switching from a game like league to an fps you should be perfectly fine, just be sure to warm up a little whenever you switch :)
I would love to see you review XM1R. Or XM1R wireless when it's released.
What is the program what u use for aiming purposes? :)
The superlight is still top dawg bur the hyperx haste wireless is really good sleeper with similar shape but some nice upgrades out the box. May have to try this one. Wish they would update the superlight too
i am rocking g305 after I watched your top 5 wireless gaming mice
I have loved G303 shape since the G302 came out and I tried it.
But the Shroud version is much better still with a more pronounced rear for better control still with your palm. And the old G302/303 were amazing in that regard. For me SO FAR - I just got it 5 days ago, but the feel and performance of the G303 Shroud is a 9.5/10 - best mouse ever so far
Just as i bought it this review drops, No joke. I just bought it on amazon and it's gonna arrive on friday
Logitech is selling on Black Friday special right now. $20 off in cart and free shipping.
@@fakename144 Amazon was selling it for 105$ at cyber monday so thats why i grabbed it from there. free shipping too.
@@SneppySymphony Amazon returns make that a good value. If you don't like the mouse, no problem. Logitech would charge for return shipping.
In the era of clickbaits and mediocre reviews, that's for bringing genuine content
I love the g303 wired that I am using, and I use palm grip on it. This could be a nice upgrade for me !
Thanks for the review. Are you still using the G303 over the superlight?
Great review. I tried the new G303 Shroud mouse, but wasn’t impressive enough to pull me away from my G Pro X .
my man beamin with the 99
@optimum tech
At this point in time, do you still prefer the g303 se over the g pro x ? Hopefully you can get back to me, thanks 💪
fantastic review as always
G303 is a good solid mouse for certain ppl but GPX overall is a great mouse and still remains my #1.
Micro-USB though, I can't believe Logitech made that decision... - That's literally the only reason I'm going for the G303 over the GPX
Bro ur apex gameplay is amazing keep it up
Yessss i was waiting for this one!
THE PERFECT MOMENT FOR THIS VIDEO
Going from the G Pro wired to the G305 wireless to now the G303 Shroud Edition!
Hey @Optimum Tech:
What do you think of the Razer Basilisk V3, maybe a Review/Test?
Amazing review, thanks for that quality content. I bought a G303 and totally love it, i guess i got the hand size and grip for it. I see why some ppl will hate it tho.
Can it be palm gripped?
@@NotFaderx it can, isn't comfy as a mouse with a different design, but you can get fast used to it. I love the light way and amazing battery life.
@@Ekstreman do u palm grip it?
@@Ekstreman I have never tried anything but palm gripping and well idk maybe claw frippi g is for me but it feels so irrittating on my mouse the redragong m7 griffin
@@NotFaderx my advice is to try it out for a few days. If a friend got it, to try it. But i bet anyone can get used to it. It is my first mouse as this too
Can we talk about his nail care????? In all his videos his nails are tip top shape. 👌
Nice review!
solid review AND nasty clips, what else could u ask for
hey optimum what are the battery you use with your g305?
Hold my like. Optimum, you God, I will keep posting this for eternity until you will do it :)). Please do a video about latency of keyboards, comparing customs to off the shelf ones. I know is pretty hard to do, but you have the knowledge and the tools. This is so needed in my opinion because I don't think I'm the only one that cares about performance on different keyboards, I will switch to customs as fast as possible if I know they don't have higher latency.
Rtings has a keyboard latency
@@a4n331 like the comment and shh. They don't have customs. Read first
@@Bogescianu your comment isn’t worth liking. they do have a few customs such as keychron and the drop keyboards but are funded by customers so are limited. Also most custom keyboards are 125hz polling so it’s obvious they have higher input
@@a4n331 bro, go for a walk. When I say customs I mean customs not half assed. He looks for a competitive edge and I'm curious to see his take on this topic. Your point is still null. I'm sorry to tell you but you didn't enlightened me with rtings. I follow rtings for years and years, they are the best at what they do but this topic is not covered regarding customs.
@@Bogescianu too bad he will never see your comment then
@Optimum Tech great review! Any possibility of a mouse input lag list ?
dude you are more skilled at apex than some of the "pros" I've seen
sick aim and tracking, absolutely crazy stuff
hope you are reviewing the roccat pro cone air wireless in your top mice at the end of the year list
What is your grip guys? Going to try too
What mouse are you maining atm Optimum? Im currently trying 303. Maining superlight for apex / CoD and Ec2-c & S1-c for pubg / CS.
Can I change the DPI button to act as mouse wheel click through the software? I prefer to have an extra button I can use to bind stuff to, rather than having a DPI cycle button I'm never going to use.
I thought they gave up on the design. The g302 was a favourite and i couldnt find a replacement. Glad it's back
Logitech X Optimum when 👀
ive had the shroud for over a week, at 88% charge, absolutely INSANE
tried the 303 wireless for a day and my thumb is really sore. i guess i’m more of a fingertip grip user so the claw grip that the mouse forced me into was super uncomfortable. used my superlight for the rest of the night and felt so much less strain
yea seems like the 303 is for a more aggressive player but i guess that’s what you have to do if you’re trying hard. if you just want to play for fun it’s probably not a good choice
idk if my hands count as medium, but the superlight feels a bit too big for me, like holding a can of beans. I use an aggressive claw grip, and my favorite size right now is the viper mini. Do you think this mouse would be a good fit for me, or should I just wait for the viper mini ultimate?
If you prefer the viper mini the 303 or g305 sounds more like it would fit you.
@@WayStedYou hmm ok, maybe i'll wait for a sale on the 303 eventually
Waiting on my starlight 12 phantom as well. They might have fixed my main concern with the weight of clicks feeling too hard to press by going with the kailh switches. I found myself moving my mouse accidentally by trying to click on the older omrons. They felt really good, but it made my aim worse. Also got a medium size this time around instead of the small I had last time, so hopefully it fits my larger hands better. Excited for the results of that when it arrives for you and I
I have replaced my Superlight with the Shroud G303 and loving it...
I'm never doing Logitech again, I've had 3 mice from them and they all had double click issues, so frustrating.
Do you have to hit an off switch on the mouse to save battery life?
Switching mouse for review, and casually one clipping people on apex lobby. Legend
Its interesting that you say the g303 is more suited to larger hands, since to me it looks noticeably smaller than the superlight. I have quite small hands so this is usually a big determining factor for me.
its small but wide thats why
For starters your reviews are our hands down the best. To to the point, no fluff love it. I will say that the AAA mice seem to be lacking on some basic things. At that price point they should have the best feet, and switches.
Bought a Viper Mini for 20€ new. Best Bang for the Buck ever
I got an idea for you-
You could play Apex (or any other game) with some of your subs and talk about certain things in tech, their hardware, what they like and don't like about it, etc. Kind of like a soft podcast but whilst playing a competitive game. Would be cool to have that as weekly vid or something!
If you like this idea, I'm down to run some Apex games -
Love from a fan from London, U.K
hey man, love ur work. can you compare it directly to G304
I use the G305 with a lithium AAA and an adapter for AAA->AA. Super nice mod and very comfortable for the price.
I'll see if the price is right where I live, and will maybe switch, i don't know yet
the price is not right. You can get the Starlight 12 phantom for near that money, like, LMAO @ Logitech.
@@Gungrave123 i paid my aerox 3 110€ and the price didn't seem bad. If that's 130 to me it is at least (i won't go 150 tho)
How is micro usb an issue for you? It's not an issue for anyone else in the world
For how little it needs charging, micro USB isn't a dealbreaker.
@@yoshawtyismyproperty I see, alright ill look for it
What are your hand measurements for reference? Cheers!
Love these videos
The g303 would be perfect for my grip :O
I got both to try em out and g303 wins for me because of the locked in feel. The superlight is nice but the absence of the dpi button annoys me because I rebind it to be a pause/play button for my music. The only gripe I have with the g303 is the scroll wheel reverb when placing it down quickly.
Yep, I never use the DPI button to change DPI. Always as an additional button for web scrolling and other daily utility functions.
Hey completely off topic but will you be reviewing/custom looping the Lian li q58 case?
