- In this Video I have tried to show you l'Eroica as if you were there. From discovering Montalcino and its festivities, to the anxiety of the day before to the Actual Ride and what is meant by the Beauty of Fatigue and the Thrill of Conquest. I hope you enjoy it!
Wow! This is poetry. Thank you for the scenic tour and the dive into l'erotica from a participant - like nothing before ! Bravo!
Thank you 5307991 and thank you for all your wonderful messages throughout the série.
Wow, what a ride. Looks like fun. Riding for the joy of riding.
Hello Cobwobbler and thanks for your post. It really is a great event.
Grazie for the professional quality narrative video of the event. I truly enjoyed it.
Hello Vincerunner and thank you for your message. Prego my friend!
Congratulations man! I was there too but I have chosen the short route. So many efforts but unbelievable satisfactions! landscape, food and wine, friendly atmosphere but mostly steel vintage bikes charm made this moment unforgettable!
Eroica was the right prize for my vintage bike... created by italian frame master to win, abandoned for too many yeras in garage and now finally returned to shine!
Thank you for your movie! really appreciated! and greetings from Italy!
Hello Francesco and thanks for your message. I agree. This was the hardest ride I have done but also the most memorable one. I can’t wait TO DO IT AGAIN! A presto!
You have done a phenomenal job capturing the dream many of us have. Thank you for sharing your long journey. I hope to be there in two years.
You are very welcome Vintage Lugs and thank you for all your encouraging messages. Be well my friend.
Congratulations on finishing
Thank you TrekMadone and thank you very much for all you encouraging and friendly messages. Be well my friend!
I discovered by chance your video: thank you for all the beautiful images that remind me last Eroica (I was also in the group of CCE on Saturday, I remember I'vc noticed your beautiful Peugeot👍). I have only 1 suggestion to you: please restore the original gears !!!. I understand your 34x34 is easier while climbing SanteMarie... than my 45x24, but I prefer keeping the eroica bike as original as possible (only tires are new). CONGRATS to having completed the Montalcino my USA eroic colleague of madness 🤣. See you soon in Gaiole I hope. Eroic nb. 773 from Northern Italy 👊
Hello Inno Poc and thank you for your message. I hear you when it comes to keeping vintage bikes as original as possible, but I am in my 60s and I just don’t have the power I use to. 45X24 is too much for me nowadays particularly on a tough 100 miles ride like Eroica Montalcino. See you in Gaiole indeed my friend.
Congratulation for finishing that beautiful ride with your vintage steel I love your video I wish I was their. from Philippines
Hello Edgar and I am flattered to read that my Videos are being watched even in the Philippines!Thank you for your post.
@@ClassicCyclingCC You're most welcome keep safe for more adventure of vintage.
Epic stuff Sir. Well done most well done indeed
Thank you Darren. Really appreciate the encouraging feedback.
Just fantastic storytelling, camera angles, editing, music, humour. It's interesting to see how grueling of a ride L'Eroica is.
Thank you PJ GLAD for your encouraging words. L’Eroica is a difficult event but I was out of shape as well. The combination of the 2 was brutal.
Lovely experience and great adventure, thank you for the film sir.
Thank you for your post and you are very welcome
Yay! Congratulations! I very much enjoyed this whole series of videos. I also enjoyed watching you finish the ride on your beautiful bicycles!
Hello Matthew Smith and thank you. It was by far the hardest ride I have ever done but what a spectacular event!
Well done, nice video, thumps up
Thank you!
Wonderful video diary of a wonderful event....wondering what the prices were like at the bike market?...scary I bet
Hello BreatheStrong Cycling and thank you. Prices were actually all over the place. Some of the stuff was actually quite cheap but rare bikes like Colnago, Bianchis, Eddy Mercks, etc… were above 1,000 Euros.
Very entertaining journey and vlog series to have watched along the way. Looking forward to your next bike adventure whatever that may be. Doing the l'Eroica Germania in August and I have found your series to be a real source of motivation. Ride on man, onwards and upwards 🙂
Hello John and thank you. Messages like yours mean a lot to me. I have not yet decided on my next bike adventure, but 1 thing is for sure, there will be one! You will love doing an erotica ride. The spirit and the ambience is like no other bicycle event I ever participated in. I loved it and I already miss it. So enjoy my friend and…..you keep cranking too!
Wonderful video series. I don't know what I admire most, your bike building, bike riding or your video editing skills.
Why on earth are you living in NJ rather than Cannes!!!
Hello John. Lol. You certainly have a point there. Thanks for your encouraging words.
First , a big congratulation to you for achieving your goal.
It is not given to anybody to reach the finish line on such a 153 km journey.
Well done ! (I am personally not at all able to do that)
As a french guy myself, I enjoyed to see you riding a Peugeot bike.
One of my vintage bike is a Super Vitus 980 PSV10 L, and it is indeed a pure joy to ride.
I think that the speeds are originally not indexed, but it is a detail. Glad to see you enjoyed your ride .
Tuscany is a fantastic place to stay.
Hello Emmanuel and thank you for your post. L’Eroica was the most fun I ever had on a bike. And as to my Peugeot Tourmalet, I love it. Such a great bike. It is really a shame that Peugeot stopped making bikes. Enjoy your Super Vitus, that is a great bike as well.
Well done!!!!😊
Hello Adolfo and thank you very much.
A big congratulations! I had no doubt that you could do it!
Thank you James and thank you for all your encouraging messages! Be well my friend!
Complimenti for a job well done! I am entered in L'Eroica in Gaiole in Chianti in October with a Bianchi Sprint (1976) that I have been restoring. Your videos were so helpful!
Hello Carla and thank you. I am very glad to hear that my videos are helpful to others. It is a great event and you will love it.
Very nice !!!! + i subbed + thumbs up # 146
Thank you for your post Erika Ragazzi. Cheers!
Excellent video to complete the series. A wonderful “start to finish” series for new beginners to understand the Eroica journey. White Roads in the autumn ? I saw you when you were getting your team jersey. I thought he would never stop shaking your hand ! How long was the detour in terms of kilometres/miles before you got back on course. Well done for completing the route. Best wishes
Hello Alan and thanks for your message and all you kind words, encouragements and tips. You should have come and say hello my friend! I would have enjoyed meeting you. All together I lost 30 to 45 minutes. It took me about 15 to 20 minutes to realize my mistake. I was mad at myself.
Nice vid! I thought only vintage computers were allowed? 😉
Hi Pete. Lol. Thanks for your post.
Hi
