The quite popular series G.A.T.E glorifies the JSDF in the anime is potrayed as a superior force using modern equipment and training to fight against magic romans who invade japan. in pretty much every engament the JSDF wipe the floor with the enemy, even against other nations special forces such as delta force. SAS and russian spetznaz All of this of course, payed for and funded by the JSDF who payed for two seasons of the anime, this of course had the desired effect of a large uptick in people signing up to the JSDF since its not a maditory service but a volentary one. So in a TLDR, yes, but there needs to be a significat culture around anime already

I like the Howard Chandler Christy tribute poster. Not sure on the James Montgomery Flagg one. Its interesting to see all the posters and artwork from the Great War, from selling war bonds, to enlistment efforts, to encouraging conservation to save food and supplies to the lads over there. Of course there were also rousing and damning posters meant to churn up resentment against the enemy.
