im going to have to disagree with u on SEAD missiles. I never had a problem with SEAD because i always microd my AA. pro tip: if you move your AA after the missile is fired, the missile will lose track and miss. I luv the vids btw

i did not watch the video yet, but proper prowler spam makes any AA micro near-useless. Because they either blow up AA before it does anything or the AA itself stays with no radar, meaning it's virtually useless. 2 prowlers make it almost useless to try and micro the radar due to the following:
a) they send SEAD missiles as soon as you turn on radar. faster then AA can shoot
b) AA needs to keep the radar on until prowler's hit with the missile, meaning you cant turn it off after the launch, meaning the missile will go off-track due to no-radar range.
c) even if you try to turn on the radar when prowler's turning around, it usually has enough time to make a full turn and send the presents back to you, making the situation a wild west duel at best. And that's without consideration for a second prowler that should be on separate turn cycle, so one of them always "looks at the enemy" to mitigate these kinds of blindspots.
If the prowler player is really miticulous that is.
The best way to deal with prowler spam in my experience is to put some kind of cheap radar-AA behind a tall building and turn on radar. If positioned correctly, SEAD missiles will hit the building with no damage to AA piece thus emptying the plane.
Or just have a net of cheap radar-AA units to soak the missiles. As most people did.
The only somewhat self-sustained AA that could survive against SEAD was the vityaz (when its not spazzing out about LoS in the open field) due to its high number of missiles. It had enough potential to shoot down incoming SEAD missiles and punch the plane back.
Yea i learned that later and started doing that but the balance between SEAD and AA is wayyyy too much in favor of SEAD. using sead planes is literally risk free while almost guaranteeing a kill. Either the range needs to be reduced or the interception efficiency of them needs to be buffed. Its too much to make AA (extremely pricy units) worth getting. Now theyre mainly used for ballistic missile defense and ground to air isnt a huge thing out of fear of getting seaded. Whipping out a prowler is wayy too effective. 4 missiles for 220 points and it rearms in no time
Wow. I play RU so I had no clue prowlers were so cheap. Our SEAD planes cost 385pts for 4 missles. I will say that RU AA has a much higher rate of interception compared to the patriot. Combined that with good Micro and I've never had a problem with SEAD spam.
@@rsaaronwe'll compare on release ofc, now it's useless. Cuz SU-25 can be full sead and will probably cost dirt too... But we'll see and I completely agree that sead-ing needs some tweak

That F-18 you lost at the start was due to friendly fire from one of the SAM systems.
I usually pack together 2 slamraams and 2 patriots, it’s good for SEAD missiles and supplying them but its artillery heaven 😂
