I loved this series and binge watched it. I work in Finance and frequently see the worst in people….. watching this brings back the hope and caring. We are all people and we all deserve respect and empathy. Thank you for posting these series! ❤️
This is just so good to watch. Although it’s sad in some parts it shows us all what life truly is all about. I volunteered in a Hospice Day Services and I loved every moment of it. Jenny in this episode is an inspiration to us all , Her beautiful smile lit her face up. In face all patients are strong beyond belief ❤️
I am discovering what an hospice is in the UK. I think that this series has provoked a remarkable insight, about what the job involve. I am discovering that i would have like to embrace this profession at any level : From care assistant to become a nurse. I feel that i would have had all the empathy necessary. You can't work in a hospice, if you do not give your best as a human being.Thank you for this series. I am 59 years old now and disabled, but the motivation is still there !
These care givers are so loving and gentle and kind, the deserve much recognition for the delicate work and comfort they give their patients who are at the end of their lives. Takes a special soul to do this 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Just binge-watched this series in Cambodia over the past three days. I worked with hospice and cancer care in the late 70s to mid-90s in the US. I needed all these reminders. Thanks.
I personally miss doing my health care work that I had done, my last client, home private... Passed away of end stage multiple sclerosis, 3 months after she passed away, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis... It has now been 20 years since that time, and I have progressed to primary progressive multiple sclerosis, wheelchair walker all the fun bits. I wouldn't change a thing about my life! It was an honor to serve my clients, and I hope that I can have as much dignity as they did when it comes my time
Ty for sharing this doc u series. Hospice is such a beautiful way to love while leaving.. Ty to all the staff for the love and care they show and ty to the families for sharing your stores... god be with you all.
I also binge watched the series. What a amazing team! It takes the stigma away from Palliative care. I wished there were more episodes, a HUGE WELL DONE Ellenor!!
I lost my mom in November 21, 2022 from ovarian cancer she was in the hospital a month and we were told spend as much time as we can and we took her home on hospice she only lasted a week with us at home, me and my step-dad cared for her in shifts. I am chronically ill and my health is now failing I'm Epileptic, have a Nuerogenic bladder and have a Foley Catheter, severe asthma, COPD etc and I have Dysphagia and can now barely get half an Ensure in the whole day and doctors are saying nothing is wrong and I don't want to die yet. I've had too many near death experiences with my health conditions but I feel so alone right now 😔 My body is trying to fight so hard to live. I'm 27 years old and live in the USA 🇺🇸
Ruby The Service Dog• no disrespect but I don't think you meant November 21 2022 because that's today's date was it 2021??? And I'm really sorry for your loss I lost my mom to Alzheimer's disease and it was horrible to watch her decline as her daughter and there was nothing I could do to help her😢😞
The patient named Diana (?), in the blue sweater/ jumper, bless her....weak and in a lot of pain, but up & dressed including a lovely necklace, & her hair tidy. I doubt I'd have the gumption to do all that.
Would the person who gave this the thumbs down have the courage to please say why, I find it incredible that anyone who would give this “ ! don’t agree’ as I say, whoever you are I would love to hear from you why? Obviously you are entitled to your opinion, but would like to know your thought processes
You can get palliative care anywhere but hospices specialise it. They are truly able to see and treat the whole person and their family. The pace is different and they can offer a range of different therapies too
Oh God don't let Megan fool you all. She not anything like she got harry believing. She set her eyes on him before she finished high school they had a field trip to London and she told her bff at the time she was going to marry him. And set off to make sure she was free. When she was actually married.
THE VERY NICE HEALTH CARE PROVIDER WITH CURLYHAIR, needs to get cover up by Mabeline and put makeup on her black bags under her eyes. she looks like the has two black eyes and was running from a hurricane. two hours with her, and youd swear she was mid thirties, she neeeds a makeover soo bad. or is she there for hospice too. not trolling her or trying to hurt her feelings, but shes on the internet WORLDWIDE,,,,wouldnt you want to look your best? id even dye her hair a soft majenta color, like wine, or mauve. eye liners, very light shade of lipstick and some tanning. im a 60yr old gay male and i just wish i wassnt in upstate ny because i could help her look as awesome on the outside as she is in the inside.when i was done with her . her whole family would beg me to do more. like lipps and fillers, brow lift. good luck mam
I’ve binge watched the whole series. These staff and volunteers are absolutely wonderful. RIP all the people who passed during the series. 😘

You guys are amazing💜🙏🙌Everybody needs & deserves comfort & love when terminal. I feel so bad for those in pain😪
Really good people.
But....yes, there's but coming- who on Earth though that being invited to a wedding of people you never met before is a good idea?
Claire house childrens hospice was the best job I have ever done. I miss it so much. I did 4 years.
Eleanor Hospice is a celebration of life !
Shame you couldn't spell it properly
First Time Watching In The United States Fine Programme From The United Kingdom
Having also binge watched this series; I currently live in ltc in Canada but when the time comes I would wish to be moved to hospice.
Marvellous series, congratulations to you all! Thanks

Some people don't deal with death
It might have no thought process at all. My cat often presses random buttons on my tablet.
God wanted me to see this beautiful presentation
I'm 85 years old and live alone. I can't help wondering how long before I can't manage and what will happen to me. Maybe I'll end up at a hospice.
Amen to the first lady I'm with ya sister
Please let me go peacefully
Just give me the medicine to take away the pain and I will be fine
haha who did you have to pay to get that 😂😂🇬🇧
I couldn't be doing with that chaplain. I'm an atheist
What is the difference between palliati e and hospice?
You can get palliative care anywhere but hospices specialise it. They are truly able to see and treat the whole person and their family. The pace is different and they can offer a range of different therapies too
I don't believe in funerals. A total waste of money
❤❤hi Julie❤❤
geez i cringed when i saw the driving on the wrong side of the road, lol...i thought dang. i forgot they drive on the opposite side. i couldnt do it.
Is ellenor a childrens or adult hospice
Thinks its for all ...they must have a childrens unit or sometging like that the kids are day patients who come in for therapy etc and go
@@Dukethejug I worked in a childrens hospice. 4 years. I loved it. Miss it so much
Both. Adult and Children’s
But I don’t think an orange lanyard is gonna look good with a wedding outfit.😊
Do you have a branch in Kenya.. I want to volunteer.. I would love to be able to offer my hand to someone who needs it...
Kabisa my question exactly
I really don't those who are too prideful. Even though they say some people are worse of . It is boastful .

Yeah, because that was the entire point of this episode.😏
The best hospice care is hanging a large sign at the entrance that says “Believe On the Lord Jesus Christ and You Will Be Saved”.

I'm so sorry that she doesn't meet your approval as she is, and I'm sure she loses sleep over over it, too. Thank you for your feedback.
Do steroids help with cancer pain? 🙏🤍🙏
