Rocky Patel and Nick Perdomo. 2 of the smartest people in the business. Mazz, you are truly fantastic at being a host and everybody I know loves this show. Salud My friend, Happy New year and God bless. Kev
As a man who is almost always surrounded by female in my family, i appreciate this 31 minute video. It gives me 30 minutes to myself to at least listen to something that interests me. Thank you guys ❤ salud from TX
U need a humidor full of cigars.. That is my next mission. I live with 4 daughters and my wife. Me, my son and the dog are the only males in the house. I love to get away to enjoy a cigar...😂
The Sixty, ALR and Gold label are amongst my all time favourite cigars. Rocky is not only makes fantastic cigars but is also a class act. Had the pleasure of running into Rocky at his lounge in Naples mid November. Before I could even say a word, he looked at me and said "I met you at a cigar event in Toronto a year ago".
I really like this RP White Label with a variety of sherry finished Scotches. It also pairs nicely with many premium Bourbons. It is in my regular rotation. Well done RP!
Loved the episode....I'm a country cooking fool myself. Found myself laughing with you all! I love RP cigars. Love the ALR but have not enjoyed the White Label yet. Great episode....as always
Man! It’s so interesting to hear about how cigars are made, it makes me appreciate how much time goes into a cigar that gives me enjoyment for a short time. It makes me want to smoke slow and savor next time I light up a RP cigar!
I always like the combination of elegance and information that I get from your videos, and this was one of the best! I'll look for that White Label RP tomorrow!
This was a really cool interview. A lot of us really enjoy learning about some of the technical details of making great cigars. Thanks as always for the excellent content!
This is such a fantastic channel. I gotta start smoking some of the more recent Rocky Patel blends. There's an obvious passion and conviction here. By the way you guys look sharp 💪
A masterpiece! Mazz like you looked forward to your trip to Honduras with Rocky Patel I would like to take a trip to south Philly and smoke a cigar with you. I am born and raised my family in Pittsburgh, have loved cigars for 30 years. Lost my health had a liver transplant for health purposes moved to Florida, the Villages in Central Florida, started getting my health back and wanted to start a cigar lounge and wine bar. So here we are six months into designing a cigar/wine bar and lounge and we have been blessed with great success in a short time! Owning a cigar lounge has taken me to a different level of cigar smoking and much of the knowledge I’ve compiled in this short time has been from your show. I can’t thank you and all of your guests enough. As you went to Honduras I want to come to Philly, maybe one day I’ll make it to meet Rocky or his brother, but also you. You have become a good friend, even though we’ve never met. So in closing, much of what we do at Holy Sh’mokes is learned from you and your guests! Thank you my friend. I know south Florida is the star of the state, but never underestimate Central Florida for cigar lovers! Come visit us at Holy Sh’mokes!
Rocky is always great. If you sell tickets to the cooking event, I’ll get on the list. And both Funke and Mother Wolf in LA are on my list of restaurants to go to. I just had a RP 60th and it was amazing. Such a great cigar.
Mannnnnn!!! I have one in my Humidor! Can't wait to smoke it! Awesome video. Shout out to Rocky! Love his process and his love for cigars. Heck yeah!!! Yall should film the cook together. That'd be So SICK!!! Now i'm Looking forward to it. Just let us know what cigar yall are going to smoke so i can smoke right along with yall.
Love the content. I just wish RP's quality wasn't so hit or miss. One of my favorite cigars is the RP 2003, but the only cigar I've ever put down due to being completely awful was an RP Decade. It makes me gun shy to try anything new from the brand. By comparison, I've never had a *bad* Oliva or Plasencia. It may not have been my taste, but it was still decent quality.
Love RP cigars and rocky patel is such a cool guy. Does so much to fight for the cigar industry. The Decade was the cigar that made me fall in love with cigars. Look forward to trying this one someday hopefully.
What a great video. I’m smoking a dark partagas cigar and drinking a scotch whisky called Aberfeldy single malt aged 12 years. Excellent pairing. While watching
When i first started smoking cigars i was learning how to taste for flavors. It wasnt until i smoked a RP vintage 1991 that i realized what a tasty cigar really was. I since have broadened my palate but still love a vintage 1991...
I want to like the brand because the few cigars I've been able to smoke have been highly enjoyable. But I get more construction, quality and unraveling issues from RP cigars than any other brand. The issue makes me nervous to buy them
Im actually surprised to hear that, My brother and I smoke a ton of RP's and can count on one hand how many times we've had one that had construction issues. I tend to reach for an RP more often than not because of how consistent and well made they are. Thats just my experience!
It may be storage issues at the store. Although I too have had constant unraveling issues with a particular crowned heads cigar. They sent me free merch (which was a nice gesture) but the issue had never been resolved. This problem wasn’t just from one store. And yes I was very careful cutting the cap!
Incredible cigar. Cedar, nuts, cream, amazing wrapper sweetness and pops of vanilla. The only cigar I've ever had to i could compare it to is the Placencia Reserva Orginal. This is a box worthy stick for sure
Rocky Patel is my favorite stand alone brand, the Garcia’s are my favorite if you count all their stuff from Don Pepin to La Aroma. Rocky wins over the Garcia’s on Connecticut stuff easily though. I have a humidor that is half white label and half vintage 1999. I actually prefer the 1999, probably because I love that whole series and regularly have the 1990 stocked. If I had to pick my favorite Rocky Patel’s, I’d say the ALR, Sun Grown Maduro, 20 year anniversary because it’s a special version of the vintage series, and then the 60th would be my honorable mention.
I’ve enjoyed every RP I’ve smoked. The conviction didn’t feel like a 100 dollar cigar to me, but it was still excellent and I have a box. The white label and ALR however are my favourites, two boxes of each in the humidor right now 👌
I have a cigar lounge in Florida and carry the conviction, have only sold two in six months. Is there anything you can tell me about it. I’ve never smoked one.
@@larryfagan5068 no I’m not a chef 😅 why? I smoked the conviction on Christmas Day. It was chocolatey and well balanced. Some spice, but not an overwhelming amount. It was by no means linear, but the shifts throughout the smoking were not major. More developments in intensity and body. Perhaps my palette is just lacking, but to my taste I prefer the ALR for the money.
I am new to cigars. I have tried many different cigars and there is 1 brand that I have found out that I truly love. Rocky Patel. I don't know enough about cigars to tell you why other than the taste.
Awesome episode. It's easy for everyone to focus on the age of a scotch since it's front and center, but as someone new to cigars, I totally had no appreciation for the work that goes into making/aging one. Feels like a steal at $20 a stick.
I'm a huge rocky Patel fan. First finding them like 20 plus years ago now. But hi ave found there "core" line like the edge series and the 1990 and up vintage.....that the quality has fallen off. Not necessarily the construction, but the tobacco used don't seem to be the same.
Just had one a couple of hours ago and it was pretty terrible. I don’t know what’s going on but his quality control has become so very, very poor. I can’t even remember the last time that I had a RP cigar that didn’t have serious construction issues. I expect issues with the cheap-o Mulligans, but I shouldn’t have to expect issues with the more expensive cigars his company puts out! Get your people under control, Rocky - before the cigar world moves on and leaves you behind.
No excuses for a stick at the price point. It is mandatory for a cigar at that price point to have a razor sharp burn, perfect draw, and to be able to smoke it down to its last inch without any issues
I really love these longer format videos. Great to listen to while doing something or to watch while just enjoying a cigar.
Cheers!
Rocky Patel and Nick Perdomo. 2 of the smartest people in the business.

His memory is really astonishing. He recognized me after several years.
Love Rocky's lineup. Something for everyone
Cigars and good times coming together. Friends, family and unity all found in a cigar. Looking forward to smoking this masterpiece!
❤❤ This was a great interview. I love Rocky Patel cigars.
Two Legends
I really like this RP White Label with a variety of sherry finished Scotches. It also pairs nicely with many premium Bourbons. It is in my regular rotation. Well done RP!
Great Episode. Rocky Patel is an eloquent and knowledable speaker, really enjoyed him on the show.
A great episode. It’s really interesting listening to Rocky Patel discuss the cigar business.
Fabulous! The White Label is an OUTSTANDING cigar. (And, by the way, nice boots, Rocky.) Cheers!🥂 ☮
I cant wait to see RP & Mazz cooking episode this is gonna be epic 👍
Loved the episode....I'm a country cooking fool myself. Found myself laughing with you all! I love RP cigars. Love the ALR but have not enjoyed the White Label yet. Great episode....as always
I haven't tried the White Label....yet. I love the Black and Royale. Bought a box of the Yr Of The Dragon. Bangers! Great show.
Facc was either fired or unwilling to show up for a mild cigar.
Or they only have two chairs
😂
Man you guys are awesome! Thank you for these sessions. ❤
Thank you Mr R. Patel 4 sitting down with us. I have much more appreciation for the brand❤
Can’t wait for that episode!!!
My favourite shade grown wrapper cigar. I love the long finish on the White Label.

Hello Mazz, have you ever smoked the Perdomo Habano Bourbon Barrel Aged? its a really awesome stick with the flavor of whiskey
Great cigar!

Great segment.. I’ll add to my list to try for sure.. so far the vintage 1990 is my favorite RP.. the 1999 was ok, may have to try again, thanks!
rocky is just such a nice an calm guy, he definitly matches thhis chhannel! and i am already looking foreward to that cooking episode🤩
Haven't tried this one yet , I will soon...sounds delicious. So many great RP cigars , Rocky & Mazz video is a real treat.
What a simply amazing video and review! I’ve tried the RP White Label and absolutely love it!🔥🔥
Another fun video review. Happy new year fellas!! 🍾🎉

The knowledge this man has of tobacco and cigars is amazing. I am in awe. RP cigars are always top of my list.
You and Rocky make a great pair to discuss his cigars I have to pick one up and try it!

Great looking cigar !
Just received a box of 20 today…excited to try one tonight.
Love what y’all do keep up the great content! 🤙🏽
Love the boots, RP

Plasencia is awesome
The RP Decade is made at the Plasencia Factory.
@@Sean_78 QC of the tobacco? Terrible ageing? No idea, but it had Rocky's name on it and was awful.

I have always been a Rocky fan because Rocky is such a stand up passionate guy - great company/ great cigars
Watch his documentary, it’s fantastic. I also love that he fights the damn government about the taxation and bs. He’s top shelf.
The Rocky Patel Sixty is my favorite one.
What a great video. I’m smoking a dark partagas cigar and drinking a scotch whisky called Aberfeldy single malt aged 12 years. Excellent pairing. While watching
Looking forward to the cooking show with Rocky!!
🔥🔥🔥Could listen to you guys talk about cigars all day. Very interesting understanding everything that goes into what we smoke💯
Great episode!
Thank you!
Complex....But damn, What a great cigar!
A fabulous video! Correct! When you know more the more you appreciate it and I'm going to order some White Labels!
When i first started smoking cigars i was learning how to taste for flavors. It wasnt until i smoked a RP vintage 1991 that i realized what a tasty cigar really was. I since have broadened my palate but still love a vintage 1991...

The RP year of the dragon I hear is amazing , we need a review
I was able to get one from my shop, I’ve been saving it for my wedding anniversary. I’ve had it about 3 months in the humidor
@ they have them at my cigar lounge , I plan on buying 2 on to smoke one to hold
Just happened to be smoking an RP Special Edition 🤙🏼❤
Love this touch of italianity in this video❤
Incredible cigar. Cedar, nuts, cream, amazing wrapper sweetness and pops of vanilla. The only cigar I've ever had to i could compare it to is the Placencia Reserva Orginal. This is a box worthy stick for sure
Recently got a box of ALR 😋 gonna puchase another box next month 😊

True Aficionados
Rocky Patel is one of my favorite brands that I find very affordable and consistent in construction
Great discussion on cigars.
Question: Why don't producers buy some of this farmland in Connecticut?
I love how you guys raised your monthly cigar membership to $35 so you can send us more three dollars Rocky Patel mulligans
In your opinion is this monthly worth it?
The White Label is the best Connecticut i habe ever had ! Great job
Tried one the other day , lovely cigar .

Hi Mazz, Great Show What Size were you smoking on RP White Label in show. Thanks Happy New Year
Can’t wait to try this…
Sounds good and all but I am waiting on Fauch to weigh in on this before I get all bought in on anything
This was a lot of fun. Felt like I was in the room with y’all. What was the name of the place in Scotland Rocky went to? I’d love to visit!
OK, I’ve never tried one. I’ll bite. I’ll see if my local cigar shop has them. If not next time I place an order with you. I’ll make sure I get one.
First ever box I bought were Rocky's white label robustos..then I went to the dark side✌️💨
Rocky is a Powerhouse in the industry. #SALU 🥃
I have never tried a RP cigar. I guess I need to give one a try.
Hard to find a quality mild cigar…. Top notch
Maz, is that a Kiton suit?? 😲🤤
The tie is Kiton. Good eye 😉
Did you see the shoutout to you Adam? It was in a previous video.
@@anthonymazzola4470 I did! I left a comment and like!! You’re the man!! And always looking sharp!
Drop the Carlito interview! Also why no interview with Steve Saka or Kyle Gellis?
Love the white label
#solid💪🏻💪🏻
Light cigars mean No Faccia 😂
Why are cigar bands getting so big these days?
I think Rocky does it on purpose, to stand out at the shop
It’s getting ridiculous. It almost at the point were you need to remove the band after smoking the first inch and half. 😂

Rocky Patel is the best cigar salesman/market in the world but can't make a cigar to save his life.
Too much overtalking and interruption. Mazz shouldn't give up his chair.
Rocky is a man of the world but he's never had a whopper?!
😅
I haven't met a lot of Mormons over a cigar though 🤔
