My expenses are less than my income, to the point where if I a woman wanted to live my same standard of living, which is relatively decent compared to many around here, then I could afford to take care of her without her having to work. If you’re going to throw in expensive nails and makeup and eating out all the time and new shoes and purses, ain’t gonna happen. But for her to live a modest life, I can support her. They still had home economics when I went to Junior High School, which is what they called Middle School where I grew up. That was 1973-74-75. I don't know exactly when they got rid of it. Boys went to shop class and girls went to Home Economics, LOL. Also, once I got into JHS, I never saw a girl in a dress again in my entire school career except for one girl who wore a dress every day because her family was from Poland and her father wasn't going to let his little girl go to school in pants (or however you would say that in Polish). She was pretty cool because the other girls tried to goof on her but she threw it back in their face. Don't mess with those Polish girls because, first, they all have big brothers who are BIG BROTHERS and all look like Bronco Nagurski, and, second, if their brothers aren't around they can still run you over with a tractor. So if you're looking for ground zero when all this shit started, it's probably 1972-73. 1972, 5th grade, girls still wore dresses to school. 1973, 6th grade, girls never wore dresses to school.
I went to Home Economics in junior high because I thought about the fact I wanted to eat, that was in 1980. Not a single older male on either side of my family could cook anything. They were totally dependent on their wives to eat the simplest meal. I didn't really learn how to cook, because they always made me the dishwasher for every meal. But I eventually did learn to cook. About 25% of my class was male at the time. I did have to take Shop classes too, but not knowing how to feed yourself because the task is feminine seemed dumb to me even as an 8th grader.

Aaron, I had that offer in my wife. A kind of average (but little bit rich) woman in Korea gave me that option of staying with her in trade for "companionship". I didn't take it. One, because the "companionship" was terrible and two, because I was in my late 30s and felt that it would lead to me not doing anything with my life. If I was 70 though? I might be more tempted but at the same time, I wouldn't want to be a burden on someone.
Feminists created a twin income society. Capitalism does its best to remove that extra income from you. Prices go up. Now two incomes are required, especially if buying a post Covid home. DINKS can benefit, especially gay couples, but if you deduct child care, wardrobe, transport, lunch out, office gifts/expenses, maybe a houskeeper, how much is left over from that 2nd income?
Problem here is, some Batchelor's keep their money growing in stocks with unrealized gains. So they get taxed on the very little they need to support themselves but their net worth grows well over 103k or whatever a year. What do you count that as? That guy doesn't look too attractive to women if he says he makes 38k for himself but can actually support much more.
So are we just seeing an effect similar to that of the great depression? Seems like during that point in time the divorce rate spiked and the marriage rates plummeted. It took WW2 to bring us out of that and into the 50s where the marriage rates went way back up for a while. I just wonder how this is going to go. If most men under 40 simply cannot provide for a woman and even a single child, does that mean we shouldn't be getting married to begin with and just let society rot itself to death? Perhaps this is the actual return of polygamy by necessity. I would not be surprised if the government's plan is to allow the "top end" of men to get some huge tax breaks per dependent in order to help stabilize the falling population we are going to see.
@@j.w.31 Even if that were so, they were "good" none the less, so you'd think people could have learned from it and passed it down to future generations, but I suppose life doesn't work that way
There probably is going to be another real war... The people are so delusional now they don't even understand the consequences and we kind of need it anyways.
As a 67 year old man, it seems like finding a woman of similar age or slightly higher and especially older, the chances are the woman may have a great income, investments, etc. But the percentage that has that is because they got it in a divorce or their husband died and left them a bunch. There are women that do earn their own money, but they are even more rare. The issue is I'm not very comfortable with living off of a woman, yet as a combined income, we could really enjoy life. But, and it's a big but, the women that have the money at an older age, especially if it came in a divorce, are very much attached to that money. Not very likely to be spending much or even any on a man. They still want the man to have the money for them, but they also want to keep their own money for their own use. This is just discussing the issue financially. The other big, if not bigger issue for me is that so many women in my age bracket, make me feel like I would be dating my grandmother. Granted I'm old too, but it doesn't change my lack of attraction for most women in the age group, even more so if they are overweight and unhealthy. The other factor that can come up on either side is that we tend to have more major Illnesses as we age. So to date and spend time with a woman, or man, and then a few years in, they have a major lifelong illness come to the surface. The thought that I could potentially assign myself to a lifetime of being a care taker. That would be hard, because I wouldn't want to abandon someone because of their medical reasons and yet I would spend the rest of my life trying to overcome the feeling that I could have had a better life and instead I would spend it trying to convince myself how noble I am, but I would be just lying to myself.
I’m secretly in love with my physical therapist, good shape, doesnt smoke or drink, no tattoos but she too high maintenance from what I’ve seen. She travels 3 times a year at least, got the suv yadadada. She would ruin my early retirement plan.
If we round a bit and say the total household cost would be 130k, and we say a woman wants a man to make ~60% more, She could make 50k; He could make 80k (1.6x) So it isn't quite as dire if both work. If a woman wants to stay at home, yeah that's expensive.

My girlfriend showed me a ring that she liked she said it was £15,000 I said ok and started saving later she confessed it was £50,000 I said ok I will keep building my career and will get there, then she actually went and saw the ring it was actually £2m. I said ok I will build my career. Well after 8 years we split still dating but my skills and earning powers had vastly improved I took both with me.
then factor in less than 20% of men are 6ft and over and less than 20% have have defined musculature and a significant percent are holed up in the basement just working and/or have simply given up (black pilled)
And how many of that 4% are 6'2, have a six pack, not balding, perfect teeth and all the other laundry list items that women "won't settle for".... lmao
that's not a question I bother to ask. I'd rather say that men should support 0% of women. the great majority are fully functioning adults, able to fend for themselves, right?. I may like to date a capable woman, not adopt a broke one 😎

Well, I’m screwed. I’m 34, make $120k, which, after taxes and benefits, is about $80k. I’ll spend a few more years saving into a trust.
Be real, does the 40k you give to the government really give anything back? Society is stuck in a gynocentric mindset, where everybody thinks they are entitled to your money, woman pay less taxes and take more. Men used to pay for woman BC they got sex and raised the children. But nowadays you don't get sex, nor children, look at the birthrate. In Ukraine the men are fighting for woman who don't want children, gg
In socialist France it’s the same situation for men. Before taxes 40k, 28k after. Average price for 2 bedrooms house is 280000€. I’m only 33 but I’m already tired of working. I don’t make a lot, but I’ve set up myself financially where I have a surplus at the end of the month. She can work 1 or 2 days a week for the rest if she really wants it.

marriage is a dying institution. until things start to change most of us are just out. life's too expensive now to fk around. if you dont want to work until you die, you gotta dedicate yourself to making money in your late 20s through mid 40s. after that, sure marriage can be a thing IF you want it, but the state of living atm just means if you dont want to be poor your entire life, family and marriage has to take a backseat.

Pink dollar
Problem here is, some Batchelor's keep their money growing in stocks with unrealized gains. So they get taxed on the very little they need to support themselves but their net worth grows well over 103k or whatever a year. What do you count that as? That guy doesn't look too attractive to women if he says he makes 38k for himself but can actually support much more.
Cappy looking goooood!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Nah, immigrants will continue to flock in and reproduce and society will thrive.
I think the 50’s were only so “good” because so many men died in war that the women bent over backwards to catch and keep a man.
@@j.w.31 Even if that were so, they were "good" none the less, so you'd think people could have learned from it and passed it down to future generations, but I suppose life doesn't work that way
And sub 8 men would be too neutered by pr0n and video games to do anything about it.
