- This statistics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into skewness and the different shapes of distribution. It covers symmetric distribution and distributions that are skewed right and skewed left. This video discusses the relationship between the mean, median, and mode for these 3 types of distributions. It also mentions the modality - that is if a distribution is unimodal, bimodal, or multimodal. Finally, the video discusses the skewness of boxplots or box and whisker plots.

you helped me pass my GED test , and you're the reason why I'm making it in college. I hope one day you see my comment. because I really couldn't do anything without your videos
Congratulations 😁
Am an educator n he has really helped me too.
The best explanation ever. Never forget this , "...where is the mean? Because the data is skewed to the right, the mean will be to the right of the median" Science demystified!
Really helped me out! there's nothing "leff" to learn!
Bruh🤦🏿♂️😹😹
SMH .. Dad joke 101
Skewed to the he left now I get it lol
I know what you did "right" there.😆
@@toke7342 Yup, "really."😉
4:33 for anyone wondering more about why mean lies to the right in this case,it’s because the mean has a tendency to move towards outliers (ie gets affected easily by extreme values), so as there are many outliers in the right, the mean will try to “run off and join them”
Can you tell me how is the mean greater than the median then in this case? I'm a bit confused.
@@hsbsvvdsjjsbbsbd1871 this is because as we move towards the right side of the number line the values keep increasing right? ( for eg 20 lies after 19 in the number line ) So as the mean is further right into the number line than the median, it is greater
@@tvvt005 thank you so much 😀
Hey, you seem to have a good understanding! Can you suggest me some sources?? Can't wrap my head around these and my exams are in a few days
@@Viz_lifelore I'm so sorry but these aren't from any sources,,these are just from what my stats prof teaches us in class,,I don't refer to any other outside sources, just her notes 😭
Yall should please like the video as it helps in analytics. He's helped us so much let's help him a little
word
Wise🌝
I am always impressed when I watch your videos. You are very thorough, yet you break things down so people understand
You made it so very simple to understand, sir. Thank you so much!
I can’t thank you 🙏 enough u made it appear so simple thanks I have a teas next week this thing will surely pop up on me Monday .thank youuuu
Thank you yet once again! You have such a wonderful way of explaining everything!!!!! I am lost without you!
This video was so helpful of all the videos. Simple and concise. Thanks so much
how does this guy know so much bruh. hes like a library of science and maths.
What can I say personally??? You have really helped me my guy!! Words alone cannot express what you have done. Thank you once more!
You're the man my G.These videos are everything to me right now
second video of my allnighter and I cant thank you enough!!! getting less and less nervous for my exam thats in about 30 hours
man i love you you have helped me through countless courses i really hope you know how much you have helped me and other students get through hard exams and always pray for you to find happiness
Thank you so much ! You are a saver . I am studying for the Teas exam and your videos help me a lot
you're crazy good. I have a masters in biostatistics and i return to your videos to to refresh.
So glad I found this channel. You nailed it completely.
Thank you for Explaining this in the very simple method! : )
So simple than I thought
Thank you so much sir🙏
Top teacher. Easy to understand. 5stars.
thank you for this video it really helped me better understand these concepts!!!!!!
Thank you very much Sr for this lecture, really may the almighty God bless you abundantly
Your all videos are really with full of knowledge and banging on basics
Thanks intensifying my understanding
Extremely detailed video. Very useful
not enough thanks can express my gratitude,i was struggling to connect the box whiskers plot to the skewd graph ...thank you very much
Thank You. A good revision for my Engineering Reliability course..
It is strange to find some comments saying that this video is practically insignificant! This is a very important science in modeling
And visual representation of the data
I'm so glad this Channel exists
I am so humbly humbly thankful. I am an adult and nearly cried over statistics. You are so great!
Thank you so much, very nicely explained.
thank you so much! this helped me on my stat homework
Man I’m Dutch and you explained it better than my teacher
Great explanation. Very helpful
Man U are better than my teacher 👍🏼👍🏼

thank u so much i have liked the video and have also understood
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
Thank you sooooooo much
Thank you!!!
Hauts les mains mon cher! Très bien et Merci!
tysm!!
Excellent
Thank you
What if the data have no mode and has a 0 frequency?? How to determine the skewness and
Great job
Thank you sir!
nice explanation, you should've plot the box graph under the first graph you introduced so we could see how it changes. Meaning if the box is larger or smaller how does that effect the graph? is there any difference in the graph in the two configuration you interduces in the last to examples? etc...
thank you so much sir
Thank u so much❤
thanku soooo much sir.....explained the concept in a vry simple way😊
Graet video, now im clear
So how would you analyze a bimodal distribution, such as that which occurs due to sampling a quasi-sinusoidal waveform?
Best tutor
I live ut his the best teacher ever
Thanks a milllion
I now understand
thank u so much
Skewness was this simple?
Thanks for dissecting the fear out of me bro
Can you make a video on "Kurtosis", "Principle Component Analysis", "Eigen vector" and "Lagrangian equation"?
Wow you are the best ❤
thank you. 👍
Could u also do excess kurtosis. Thank u for these amazing videos
Please make a video on moments, skewness and kurtosis and the rest 🙏
