you helped me pass my GED test , and you're the reason why I'm making it in college. I hope one day you see my comment. because I really couldn't do anything without your videos
The best explanation ever. Never forget this , "...where is the mean? Because the data is skewed to the right, the mean will be to the right of the median" Science demystified!
4:33 for anyone wondering more about why mean lies to the right in this case,it’s because the mean has a tendency to move towards outliers (ie gets affected easily by extreme values), so as there are many outliers in the right, the mean will try to “run off and join them”
@@hsbsvvdsjjsbbsbd1871 this is because as we move towards the right side of the number line the values keep increasing right? ( for eg 20 lies after 19 in the number line ) So as the mean is further right into the number line than the median, it is greater
@@Viz_lifelore I'm so sorry but these aren't from any sources,,these are just from what my stats prof teaches us in class,,I don't refer to any other outside sources, just her notes 😭
man i love you you have helped me through countless courses i really hope you know how much you have helped me and other students get through hard exams and always pray for you to find happiness
This is insane. You’re the best tutor I have ever come across. Your way of teaching this lesson is way too interesting and made it so easy to understand at one go. Thank you so much. God bless you more. Please keep up with this amazing work. You’re gifted in so many ways. Thank you again. 😊
Thank you so much! I struggled on remembering whether the mean was bigger than the median or vice versa with regards to right/left skewed distributions. You just explained it so simply while books and other articles did not. Thank you.
It is strange to find some comments saying that this video is practically insignificant! This is a very important science in modeling And visual representation of the data
nice explanation, you should've plot the box graph under the first graph you introduced so we could see how it changes. Meaning if the box is larger or smaller how does that effect the graph? is there any difference in the graph in the two configuration you interduces in the last to examples? etc...

Can you tell me how is the mean greater than the median then in this case? I'm a bit confused.
