This is how outnumbered military units have won stunning battles with the right leader over the centuries. Football is the closest modern day equivalent to that and it’s inspiring to see. ASU is not going to make the playoff or anything this year, but these types of big wins set a tone for the future and if the recruits start rolling in, the Sun Devils could be a force in the PAC-12 in the next couple of years. David Shaw is one of the best coaches in all of football. But there is a huge list for the rest of the conference. I could mention what Shaw has done but if you coach forever and have more ups than downs then it's a mute point. Leach, Coach Pete, Helton, any UCLA coach, Sumlin have done horrible representing the conference. The only good ones are the 2 you named who have done their part. I would stop there but I'll make this post longer. I consider embarrassing the conference as losing to non conference teams that you should win or are favored to win. Recent example of Oregon State losing to OSU is not embarrassing because they lost to a better team. Ariz losing to Houston and BYU last year is embarrassing the conference. Also losing to non power 5 teams which is Leach's favorite thing to do. Regular season upsets that happen more than once while being a ranked team and BCS/playoff team is embarrassing. Then of course bowl, losing in bowl season matters
Jay Price PAC suffered last yr from having too much parity. 9 bowl teams and 11 with 5+ wins will results in a lot of pac teams having to play better opponents in bowls

Actually not that common. I played college ball back in the 90's. We had 130 players, but never dressed more than 80 for home games, travelled with 60. Both of these guys played. So who is Coach referring to at 6:21? The number 1 that tied the game or the number 1 that won the game?
