Beautiful resort. I think it is special you go back every year, that is where the memories keep going. Just look at the memories you have going different places with your wife. I think tjat is awesome. ❤❤😊
Thank you so much! A lot of people ask us what hotels we recommend there, but this is the only one we ever have experienced. I'm sure there are some nice places, and probably some much more luxurious than this. But it's where I went as a child, and that's where we took our boys when they were growing up. Like you said, there are a lot of memories there.
We just returned from staying here last week. In general we were very pleased. However there were some concerns we feel should be addressed before we stay here again. 1. They charge $10/day for parking however you are not guaranteed a spot. The first two days of our visit we had to park way down the street and walk because no one from the resort patrols the spots and most people parking there had no tags. The kid at the desk said those are most probably bar and restaurant visitors. I think that’s ridiculous. 2. We stayed in 233 and the first thing we noticed was there was not one table nor dresser in the room. We asked for one and their reply was they had none to give us so we ended up living out of our suitcase for 5 days until I saw a worker carrying a small square table out to the dumpster. I told him take it up to my room as that was better than no table at all. At least now I had a place to put my drink or my car keys. 3. The hot tub was broken for the first 5 days of our 7 day stay. And when it did get fixed it was occupied by little kids (I guess the two huge signs saying it was for adults only was optional). 4. The bathroom was so small it barely fits one person. Everything worked so I guess it could have been worse. 5. Kids were swimming until 11:00 most nights even though the sign clearly says 9:00. The office staff leaves at 6:00 so it’s basically nothing you can do but get used to it. Most everything else was acceptable and the location is ideal. I think we’ll give it a try again next year and hope those things get addressed. We’ll see! Thanks for the detailed video it certainly helped us decide to stay here and yes everytime I walked past the tree I thought of you and your sons.
Thank you so much for coming on here and sharing your thoughts about your experience. I want to say first of all, that I completely agree with your concerns. We had room 130 back in 2019, and there was not even a place to hang our clothes, and like you said, the bathroom was so small you could barely turn around. I literally hung my clothes on the back of the TV mount, as it was one that swivels around. We told them we would not accept that room ever again. Some of the rooms do have a very poor design, while others are quite acceptable. We have been in 107 the last 2 years, and it seems to do very well for us. Prior to that, we used to get room 216 upstairs, and we liked it. Being charged to park and not even being guaranteed a space, while others who are not paying motel customers are allowed to park there, is something that needs to be fixed, and now. There is simply no excuse for that. What are you paying for, if they can't even guarantee you a spot? The advantage it has, is that it is so close to both the beach, and the Siesta Key Village. And we really appreciate you telling us that you thought of us and our boys, when you walked past those palm trees. This place has undergone numerous changes since we've been coming there over the years, but we are glad those palm trees are still there. Thank you so much for letting us know about your trip.
We had a nice week. Temps were high 60’s/low 70’s but it was sunny 5 out of the 7 days we were there. It’s a nice place that could be better with a little management. We’ll stay again as the positives outweigh the negatives. Thanks for the nice reply!!
OK you made me say, “Awwwww,” out loud when you all showed the pictures of your boys with the palm tree. That is such a sweet tradition to do. Also, I don’t know if you mentioned it, but we could see the rectangle pool in the background when you were out there grilling. So that was kind of neat to see that also. Your videos have just been fantastic! I’m so glad you’ve had so many videos from your trip.🏝️☀️
Thank you for watching, and for your comment. Yes, I did notice that you could see the old pool from the upstairs of our room. I really miss it. It was a bit smaller than the current pool, but it has a lot of memories in it, from the time I was small. And I certainly hope they never take those palm trees out.
Re-watching this video as we did end up booking a room here for our upcoming trip. I booked a Poolside Kingsize Bedroom...requested a ground level room as the Mrs is overdue for knee surgery. Thanks again for the review!
You're very welcome. Please let us know which room you get, and how you like it. In fact, we'd love to see pictures of it, if you wanted to send them to our email. Especially if it is a room we haven't seen the inside of.
That pool sounds really nice!!! I understand your fond memories, but try to just enjoy !!! I've never been to Florida, so just think of that sadness and love that you're there and how awsome that is!!!!!
Hi guys what a wonderful video, thanks for sharing. My husband and I are going to Florida in January, we’ll give this motel a try. Looking forward to trying the pool. Take care.❤😊
If you do go there, let us know what room you get, and how you like it. We are very curious about how some of the other rooms look, that we have not seen. If you go and take pictures or video, we would love to see that.
if Siesta Key remains one of our spots to hit in 2025 we'll definitely look into this place! I was looking at different places already to check into as soon as our plans become more definite. Thanks for the in depth review.
Very nice place! We are looking to visit next April on our way to AMI. Looks like a great location. Loved the sentimental pictures of your boys and the palms. We can relate..we also have two adult sons...grew up going to Sanibel Island. I personally grew up going with my parents and then with my husband..then with our sons. We then took our grandson. Thankful he got to see the island before Hurricane Ian. Same sentimental feelings. We will return in 2025 giving it time to rebuild. It will be too difficult to see the destruction. We have been trying some new places and are really liking AMI Hoping to spend atleast 2 days in Siesta Key..this place looks really nice. We love Florida and also St Augustine. But we still love the Great Smoky Mountains. We enjoy your videos and love that we have similar favorites ❤
Enjoyed this video. Passed by Siesta Key Beach Resort and Suites so many times interesting to see behind the scenes. I stay at Bayside as a family member owns a condo she rents out if its not occupied. Enjoyed the seeing the trees growing....
Yes on Siesta Key, its full name is Gulf and Bay Club Bayside. Heading out of Siesta Key Village towards Stickney point go straight through the lights near the Fire station over public crossing then 50 yards on the left @@NCMemoryMakers
@@Mrpegs1 Ah, okay. I know where you're talking about. Couldn't place the name, but it sounds like it is close to the Sarasota Surf & Racquet Club. Just past the main public beach area.
Love the blue doors and umbrellas. A lot of memories and sentimental items. Everything changes and some changes are not for the better.
Yes, very true.

It's kind of a shame that they have to post a warning not to drink the pool water. You would think people would not be that dumb.😀
Sure who would drink Chlorine if you Pee in it.
Yeah, you would just think that would go without saying, wouldn't you?
But people these days...
