Welcome to Toucan Rescue Ranch!

🌺 Leslie Howle founded Toucan Rescue Ranch initially to look after, you guessed it, Toucans! But other birds needed help as well, and eventually, TRR started caring for sloths and other wildlife that have been harmed by human causes.
🦥 We co-founded Saving Sloths Together with The Sloth Institute, which focuses on rescuing, rehabilitating, and rewilding sloths as they graduate from our 'Sloth School' program!
🦜 In most cases, animals pass our rewilding program. At times, however, due to habituation and various other reasons, they might be unfit to be rewilded and will become a permanent resident. We try to give all of our permanent residents the wildest experience that we can through our enrichment programs.
🌱 Environmental education and conservation is a really important way to help animals stay out of harm's way and hopefully stay out of sanctuaries like ours.
