Jim Farley is an ABSOLUTE JOKE, as the Ford/Lincoln CEO. Quality has been job NONE at Ford/Lincoln for many years, hence being NO. 1 for total amount of recalls on their vehicle's. Fix or repair daily, Found on the road dead has taken on a whole new meaning! They're truly producing over-priced JUNK! Thank you Mark for preparing another outstanding video, take care my friend, cheers!
I find all of this fascinating regarding new trucks...particularly Fords. I currently own a 1970 F-250 that I purchased 10 years ago. Before that I owned/drove a 1972 F-100...essentially the same truck for 33 years. These are the 5th generation (1967 - 1972) Fords but they were all built with quality and sharing the same body styles. My two trucks were reliable, simple, and built with quality. Back in those day you could order your truck with choices of various engines, transmissions, packages, capacities, colors, cabs, etc. I know we all live in a totally different high-tech world now but, my God, what has happened to QUALITY AND RELIABILITY? Are there any trucks built within the last 15 years or so...without any major issues? What has happened to American quality? It seems the prices for cars/trucks are at least 30% - 50% higher than they should be!
Makes ya wonder... If they had been selling good or like the pandemic, would they be doing this? I also can't help but think quality is suffering because they have all their top notch people workin on the EVs, although I would have to say, whoever came up with the Mach E, Should get the Edsel treatment. Maybe it was a DEI hire...
Paying top dollar for a half-ass product has ALWAYS been a terrible business model. Unfortunately RAM and the others still don't get it. The people who are are willing to pay house money for a sub-par truck, already have, they bought during the pandemic. Everybody else,Would rather hold a title or a great rate, rather than, play this new truck insanity
Historically speaking.... North American brands have always sucked for reliability/dependability. Now it seems even the Japanese brands suck.... but the North American brands have basically stepped up their shittiness another notch. For what these manufacturers charge now, they should be coming with a minimum of 5 years and 100,000 mile warranties. In Canada, many only offer 3 years or 60,000kms...... and that's bullshit!
Holy shit wait times for Ford trucks? Hahahahaha you should see the Ford lot here. Where would they put them? Is Mr. Magoo going to show up and buy a few dozen $80+k bro trucks? Ford needs a F-150 Bro edition with tattoo inspired decals and a vape pen holder that charges your vape pen as you drive the bro truck.
I don’t believe what Farley is saying. Holding these newer trucks back will only help him (Ford) sell the massive amounts of 23/24 models that are rotting on the lots. I’m not a little kid anymore, Sir…I want the candy before I get into the Van 😊
My friend has a Bronco Sport with about 35K miles and it’s been in and out of the shop with recalls and weird powertrain issues. Ford sells some of the most expensive vehicles on the market and has nose dived in reliability?
mark, id stay with the used market. can get a great f150 for a decent price. the older the better. look at your dodge - it is beautiful. Used used used. mustang being recalled for engine problems. ford just cant win.
if ford would delay releasing their products before working half the bugs out of them, they wouldnt be the recall kings of junk NOBODY wants to spend 80k+ on.jim farley should be a ford janitor instead of CEO.
The crash of EV prices is giving a false sense of "prices are falling" in the auto market. This is just not true for 90% gas vehicles. Chevy Colorado and Silverado prices went up just this past month.
@@TheOzthewiz No one should "buy now". Sorry but imo that's bad advice. Auto sales have been declining and Cox Automotive says it will continue to decline into 2025. The Automotive Dealers Association along with vehicle manufactures are currently doing PR using ads and influencers to convince people like you to "Buy Now" so they don't have to lower prices back down to historical averages.
They are all selling garbage. You buy a hundred thousand dollar truck and after to have spend another ten thousand on emissions to to get to hundred thousands miles. Disgrace.
1990's: "Quality is Job 1!"
2020's: "Shareholder Returns & Management Compensation is Job 1!"
Not only Ford, it started in other industries ~2008
Cost of Living Crisis? No, Dude, people just don't want to pay $100K for a pickup truck. A pickup truck. That's just insane.
PROFIT is Job #1.
Sounds like a delay due to dealerships sitting on too many overpriced vehicles no one can afford.
Yes indeed and really fleets and leases are the o my thing keeping g these dealers afloat
Great that you throw stats and facts as us my friend. People can't argue truths
My 2020 SuperDuty Diesel has been perfect. Zero issues. I think I’ll keep it.

Their quality has been down for a long long time.
Was looking to get a 2024.... I'll keep my 2017. It has had no issues.
That's GREAT. The neighbors WILL forgive, I promise!
Don't blame you everything pre pandemic is better built.
Even Toyota is selling crap trucks these days. Total POS

I’ll keep my 17 till the wheels fall off before I pay these inflated bullshit prices, as far as I’m concerned, they can all sit on the lot and rot!

RAM is in WORSE shape than Ford! At least Ford has the "Maverick".

Quality is job NONE.
The word "Quality" should be removed from the dictionary. Today Quality doesn't exist ANYWHERE, PERIOD!
Great idea Ford. Fix your junk and then sell the junk to the public. Manufacturer of the Eco- Toast Engines.
Not sure who can afford them🤦♂️
I like and WOW amazing TY so much ,,Keep up the great work

So you're saying I shouldn't have purchased a 2024 F150....😮
No one covers the ford transit ever.
While Bankrupt Govt Motors have haled all EV's and the Bummer EV is Dead
Found On Road Dead
Well said!
Another way to keep truck prices high ❗
Wow!!!...this is the first time this guy didn't have a "click bait" title.
Who will spend that kind of money for a problematic vehicle?
As long as it has a bumper-to-bumper warranty, go ahead and ENJOY!
@@TheOzthewiz how many miles/years is the bumper to bumper on Fords ?
Ford lives up to its name fixed or repair daily
Oh PLEASE! For those of you to whom English is your SECOND language, lets try it again.........Fix..Or..REPLACE..Daily!!!!!!
How much in government fines pay for CAFE standards? If that stopped, what would the prices be?
Great questions

Yes they are recall kings and yet people remain loyal. Honestly beyond me at this point.
Anyone buying a new vehicle right now that doesnt absolutely need one for their business or transport has to have rocks for brains
I would generally agree and while there are a few decent deals, prices and interest rates are way too high.
mark, id stay with the used market. can get a great f150 for a decent price. the older the better. look at your dodge - it is beautiful. Used used used. mustang being recalled for engine problems. ford just cant win.
I wish ford would "halt" production permanently... their products suck, ALL OF THEM!!!
Damn

And the prices are going to continue UPWARD! If you NEED one, buy it NOW!!!

Move the truck assembly plant back to Mexico, Bring back William Clay Ford Jr as CEO ‼️
Is Jim Farley related to Chris Farley ?
Well…..
He’d be perfect for a Tommy Boy 2 after he gets fired !!
Can’t you see the resemblance??
Jim Farley: un-talented cousin of the late Chris Farley.
And people will keep buying these problem-trucks as brand loyalty. Too many stupid consumers out there.
Kia makes better vehicles than Ford😂😂😂😂is
Fords are only good with a LS swap.
Haha ….boom!
Dude if you pay over 50k for a pickup truck your parents raised you wrong.
Who does quality testing on these products. No one I guess
The "end user", of course!
The consumer these days
Get a GMC solved the problem pain and simple

Or you could buy a Hyundai "Ioniq5" and have to spend $60K for a replacement battery after 5yrs! Sounds fair enough, doesn't it? Love IS a Hyundai!
