I have friends who belong to the SC/ST category.
They are wonderful people, but they themselves admit to me that not everybody is as good as this woman.
In fact, many use the SC/ST card to get many legitimate people into trouble with officials, and because of them, some legitimate individuals are ostracised even to this day.

People from so called lower caste do face caste discrimination in some form or the other still today. I am from SC community and have seen people not allowing people from SC/ST caste to not enter their kitchens specially, by giving same lame excuse not to be accused of caste discrimination. But many of the so called upper caste feel there is no caste discrimination. I will just say to them, if you don't do it, if you haven't heard about it, if you haven't seen it then it dosent mean it does not exist.

It's reality the people who discriminate people according to their caste they are sick.they must understand the real meaning of human.because all human is equal blood colour is same even everything..just need to understand the things.
Untouchability in India its very bad and hard to believe that even in present modern days many Indians treat people based on their caste and especially from the Hindu community. This should be stopped everyone should have equal rights and treated equally not based on their religion, caste or anything else. How would a Brahmin Hindu feel if they have been ill treated in a foreign countries like in Europe or Australia where Asians are treated as people lower to them or because Indians or Asians still believe in old traditional things such as caste or discriminating people based on their color or religion and not on their work and humility.
They all scream they are being discriminated against when overseas.

Do not cook food on such sensitive (used to be ) social issues. With education the system is on self sinking process. I just can't understand why caste system is so important in India. First I think it's due to low level of education until I read the news one Indian engineer working for Oracle in US sued his two senior Indian engineers not to promote him because he belongs to lower caste. These Indians are western educated in US and they do bring this sh*t to US with them and still practicing it. This is the only thing I don't like about Indian culture. Some Indian scholars argue that British created this caste system but I'm convinced it's due to inferior complex not human creation by Brahma God. It is just an excuse.
