Mahomes got ptsd from the tackle play always being suspect. We fixed interior right after Bucs SB loss but have struggled to find tackles PM15 feels confident with since then. He expects to get hit every time he drops back. Even when the pocket is super clean.

I think Seth Keysor's analysis is just wrong. Mahomes is not bailing on clean pockets and doesn't have happy feet. I feel like Mitchell Schwartz definitively disproved this in his Twitter thread, where he showed the All-22 from every Mahomes dropback in the first half against the Chargers. I also think Seth's analysis @56:46 is particularly galling. The reason why those inside stunts w/ a looper kept working is not because Mahomes was bailing on clean pockets but because Trey Smith kept overpursuing on the inside stunt and missing his blocks. Basically, Trey Smith & Jawaan Taylor were not correctly passing off their rushing assignments. If every time a QB slides a couple steps to his right he's met with a free, unblocked rusher, that's a problem with the O-line, not the QB.
lol if you think Mahomes has not been bailing out of clean pockets than you are blind. Mahomes has also lost the ability to read the field and go through his progressions. If not for Mahomes bad play and a gaping hole at left tackle , Xavier worthy would be leading the league in yards right now . This 20 plus game slump Mahomes has been in needs to end . I’m at the point that they need to bench Mahomes ass and let Carson Wentz play because Mahomes is holding this offense back from being elite. The receivers are fine. It’s Mahomes regression and the left tackle that is the problem. If you can’t see that, then you need your eyes examined. Now Mahomes can absolutely snap out of it and start playing at that elite level again. But I am sick and tired of people saying that Mahomes isn’t the problem. Xavier worthy has been wide open all year long. Doesn’t matter if worthy plays against zone coverage or man coverage he’s consistently open.

Like Seth says, all of these takes are "and/or" on a play-by-play basis. Idk if you read his newsletter, but every game has had different issues, too. It hasn't been happy feet every game this year. But to your point, there are times he bails and he doesn't need to. There are times he bails and he needs to. There are times he doesn't bail, and the O-line breaks down. And the cycle repeats. All of this makes trust difficult. Last year's receiving corps has hurt Mahomes' trust to just let it go. If you look at Seth's charting, happy feet downs are like 1-3 per game, so it's not every snap. Most of the snaps where he's bailing, it's because of the O-line. But he is skipping reads when he could. @shaneglenn4790 - if you think Mahomes, the best QB to play the game, needs to be benched (???) then I think you may need your eyes checked.
