LETS GO DUKE!!!!!? New locker room is wonderful, He is a defensive coach. One year the floor 4-8 the ceiling 9-3 but as duke football fan I'm excited for this year coming up
Manny Diaz IS a good football coach! Miami made a mistake of firing him! I understand he didn't quite live up to expectations but he wasn't as bad as you think! Miami was a top 10 team in his second season and the year after that, Miami did get off to a slow start but guess what? They turned their season around winning five of their last six games including top 25 wins against NC State and Pittsburgh who eventually won the ACC Championship that year! Not to mention Tyler Van Dyke, after D'Eriq King went down with an injury, Tyler Van Dyke took over and put up impressive numbers. But after Miami fired Diaz and hired Mario Cristoball, Van Dyke took a step backwards and didn't make a bowl game, and Miami is 12-13 under Cristoball! So Miami firing Manny Diaz makes ZERO sense at all! And STOP thinking Manny Diaz is not a good coach because he IS!!!
I get that you’re a Duke fan and all, but simply looking at records doesn’t tell the full story of what’s been going on at Miami. We’re in a much better state as a program now and some of that isn’t Manny’s fault while some of it is. To be fair to him he wasn’t never given the level of support Mario has been given, not even close.
@@mariocristogoat4931 Me being a Duke fan has nothing to do with it. My point is that Manny was NOT a bad coach at Miami and he was better than people think he was.
@@hariiyer265 I just don't think Miami and the pressure that comes with it. Was a good fit for him as a first time head coach. I think he will be a good coach. He just needs more discipline with team. Miami had many problems with culture mindset.
Very good interview all the way around.

I’d say 5-7 is absolute bottom, 10 wins being the ceiling.
No mike elko tho, he was the real deal

I like Manny a lot but Miami is a much better position now

@@hariiyer265 He was a Defensive minded HC that fielded the worst tackling and 3rd down Defense in the P5. He is a much better DC than HC imo.
