What happened to the referees who didn't call it, reviewed it and didn't call it, and the league officials who upgraded to a a no punishment flagrant 1. Terrible league. They deserve going back down the tube. That's where they're headed.

For AR, I don't see how throwing someone to the ground (you can see her follow through on her left hand) is any form of basketball at all... It wasn't boxing out, or fighting for position, AR already had position.

I said from the beginning that a flagrant 1 was the right call. So, the league got it right with the upgrade. They also need to review Caitlin’s behavior on the play prior when there was physical contact between her and Chennedy with Chennedy apparently being elbowed in the face which ended with Caitlin yelling and talking trash on the way back to other side of the court which is what Chennedy was apparently responding to when she shoulder checked her.

It was a common assault - nothing to do with a sport. It could have had serious consequences if Caitlyn had hit her head on the court. Females are particularly susceptible to head injuries in these circumstances because they have less neck muscle than males. In Australia we would say this is the eqivalent of a "cowards punch" which, incidently carries a mandatory jail sentence.

For AR, I don't see how throwing someone to the ground (you can see her follow through on her left hand) is any form of basketball at all... It wasn't boxing out, or fighting for position, AR already had position.
I am so disappointed in the WNBA; if the cheap shots continue on CC, they will lose me - a new fan - forever. We loved Magic and Bird because they were the best; it wasn't about black and white. The officials should be fined, the coach of the Sky should be fined, the owner of the Sky should be fined and the player should be suspended a few games without pay. Problem is the league isn't doing anything to protect Clark and if she leaves the WNBA will get what they deserve. Caitlin Clark is bigger than the league and if she left the WNBA would be lesser than when Clark joined.

I said from the beginning that a flagrant 1 was the right call. So, the league got it right with the upgrade. They also need to review Caitlin’s behavior on the play prior when there was physical contact between her and Chennedy with Chennedy apparently being elbowed in the face which ended with Caitlin yelling and talking trash on the way back to other side of the court which is what Chennedy was apparently responding to when she shoulder checked her.
The sad thing is since so many ex players turned sports analysts are not only condoning this behavior, but outright justifying it, I doubt the wnba will do anything about it. Angel Reese not complaining about being choke slammed doomed Caitlin Clark and all future wnba rookies imo.
The commissioner isn't going to suspend her because if she does, she'll be called a racist and accused of having favoritism towards Caitlin Clark. The former wnba veterans turned analysts that justified this should be ashamed of themselves because they're making it nearly impossible for the wnba to do anything without being labeled racists if they do something to Punk Carter.
The indiana fever won't bench Caitlin Clark for her own safety because they know it'll equal to a loss in TV revenue and ticket sales, so they're not going to do anything. In fact, I'll go on record now saying that Coach Sides only got that tech to discourage Caitlin Clark from getting too many techs because they can't afford to have their biggest cash cow get suspended. Oh no no. 🙄
Plus, with Aliyah Boston not complaining about the cheap shots on her, that makes it worse too because if Sides benches Caitlin for her safety, or if management tells her to, then people in the wnba will accuse the Fever of favoritism and accuse both the owner of the Fever and Sides to be racists.

We have to be realistic. They upgraded a common foul to a flagrant one. That's at least going in the right direction. Let's see if they got the message going forward.

And here comes a beautiful White girl that put huge viewers, and people in the stands has become the target for her ability, charisma, race, and has a Boyfriend. If the WNBA is to continue to exist they better do something to right all these wrongs. Her teammates that didn't come to her aid should be ashamed of themselves.

It was a common assault - nothing to do with a sport. It could have had serious consequences if Caitlyn had hit her head on the court. Females are particularly susceptible to head injuries in these circumstances because they have less neck muscle than males. In Australia we would say this is the eqivalent of a "cowards punch" which, incidently carries a mandatory jail sentence.
Make it a 20k fine for flagrant fouls! These nasty women are screwing the league and the league needs to make examples. A thousand dollars isn't enough they need something like a 20k fine along with a suspension the next time around!

They are going after all these rookies. Angel Reese got choked slammed. The big problem I see is that , where the f$%k are these rookies teammates? They are supposed to have their back. These rookies put the wnba back in the spotlight in a great way. But what these idiot players who are attacking these rookies forget, is that they can be replaced by new wnba player from the ncaa really quickly. That the sponsors and fans will stop investing in the league if this continues. These hostile players will get cut next year. And will have to apply to play in the Russian leagues.

Coach Lisa Bluder announced her retirement, awesome. Lisa is now free to Coach the Fevers. Fans are NOT packing Arenas to see Coach Sides - she is NOT relevant. Sides is not ready to Coach at this level or mentor Clark. You need a dynamic coach to coach a dynamic player
