im rlly happy to see a pro talking about doubles i feel like a lot of players just bunch it together with like free for alls and idk games with items but doubles takes a lot of strategy and skill thats special to doubles wish it was seen more as a main event rather than a side event at tourmaments
Thoughts on using 2 bruisers? It probably doesn't translate at all to top level offline doubles, but my friend and I have a 93 consecutive win streak going in online doubles with Peach and Daisy.

@@float_peach really good edgeguards, really floaty so it’s easy to pass, huge hitboxes, down b to cancel projectiles… she definitely has things and luma dying every two seconds is definitely an exaggeration
Rosa is actually a great support character, she’s in now way « bad », great aerials, edgeguarding and passes with fair, down tilt, fthrow and nair… + luma doesn’t really die as much as you think since so much is happening people don’t focus on him.
Fox is weird in doubles. If it's 2 seperate 1v1s he's top tier, since he can target switch/reengage so quickly and his most damaging combos take like 2 seconds. But if it's point/support he can't do anything. If he tries to play point he needs his movement because those hitboxes aren't challenging anything, which just runs him into his teammate. If he tries to play support his chess rook movement and feather weight makes him unable to join the fray effectively. AFAICT Fox's teammate needs good air to air, since at least then I can use more of the stage length to play point/support without disrupting them too much.
And people didn't believe me when i said Piranha Plant is good in doubles ☠️ also, check out MuteAce in Grand finals with Scend against Lucky and Loaf in which Mute plays against a Piranha Plant... in Grand finals...

Greninja in bruisers? I mean, he does decent damage with fair and dair, but his combos are usually too long to actually get damage off (tho he does pass very well). Honestly between shuriken, bair, and his overall speed I think he's one of the best disruptors out there.
My brother and I do samus Mario online and we rarely ever lose a game. Usually if we do they have retarded rules like items and smash ball. Normal tournament set rules i can’t remember the last time we lost with that combo. It usually gets so easy we nerf ourselves to worse characters to make it competitive lmao. It helps that samus and mario are our mains but the duo itself is so good. Mario grab into full charge shot should be illegal 🤣🤣🤣

Probably not the best but I really enjoy peach and Daisy... Catching each other's turnips and extending combos is just too much fun
