Instead of trying to give Austin an actual character arc they decided to give him charm and an unbeatable personality filled with pathetic 1-episode problems instead of something of a universal problem he had with who he was. The only actual disney shows that I can recall that established actual character arcs are good luck charlie and liv and maddie.
PLEASE make a reboot of Austin and Ally like they did for That's so Rven with Raven's home, would love to see what they would look like after maybe 10 years when they are all grown up and have kids of their own
