I think this is the year I will finally join OBOD and sign up for the bardic course. It's important to have community. I think druids are my kind of people.
This was my first listen to the programme and have to say, I will be returning. Trust is a big issue foe me and it came up, in a gentle but clear way in the grove meditation. Thank you.
Thank you Philip for a wonderful meditation. Not only a Full Moon, but here in N E Scotland, there was a sighting of the Aurora Borealis on Monday evening/Tuesday morning. It was such a marvellous sight to see. Blessings.✌️✌️💚💚
This meditation was the very definition of 'wholesome' for me; I hadn't really felt lonely before we started, but the sweet rush of tiny lives and exchanges and connections in every element from every direction brought a huge sense of relief in being whole, not fragmented as I usually feel. Shared this with my anam chara, who just last night expressed loneliness - this was definitely something I did not know I needed. As always, I can't thank you enough Philip - and everyone. Love this community; couldn't be without it.
That was lovely. I had just returned from a walk along a stream beside my home, so I was able to use the meditation to return there in the comfort of my house. Early spring rains here in east coast Nova Scotia
Happy Easter Philip and all x Thank you, On loneliness, the thought of being a hermit does not frighten me now, even I could thrive now being in nature and remote, but being sick, with no warm shelter and alone etc, that is awfully hard! During the meditation, I had the image of a large egg translucent in the centre of our circle-and a sense of some new life/certainly this week I have to take some decisions and brave the birth of new ventures etc. Lovely meditation.
I am an only child with no family closeness. I spend my days compleatly alone 5 days a week, a solitary individual. I am use to being alone but sometimes I feel invisible.
Loneliness could mean a feeling of being in a different stage or conflict. While you family is present, it may also remind your psyche of the conflict it presently is experiencing. It brings back possibly unresolved conflicts too. It goes back to identity too. Who are you? It seems like there should be an answer at all times that is “right”. But it’s also a question of identity. You are a father and grandfather. But this identification holds a great responsibility in the minds of your children:grandchildren too. That could also be what creates the loneliness. Loneliness could be a way of feeling isolated in the role itself.
