@paddythefly the world needs Lolli Wren, she has given me a voice and paints a picture that I am not skilled enough to do for myself, bless her and may peace find all our hearts. 💜
My favorite part of the song is ending it on “I’m on a wave that doesn’t…” I always imagine the wave finally crashing at that point, with whatever the symbolism implies. It evokes both the idea of success, fame, or just self-love finally really registering, but it also reminds me of the idea of taking no day for granted and never really knowing the exact final moment: many continue on as normal right until that final precipice without a semblance of finality themselves. A beautiful song and video!
I don't know if this will make sense, but... To me, your voice paints the scene that the video shows. If I closed my eyes, I feel like I'd see the same thing... Like your voice would transport me right where you are in that video, feeling the breeze coming off the water, standing on the edge of the world. Love it. Keep sharing your wonderful talents, Lolli.
My only wish is that there was MOAR! I love love LOVE the new album, but it's so short... too quickly it's over. Just means I have to listen to it again, and again, and again... Can't wait to see the next video you put out for it. This video was amazing!
i have been watching your reaction video,s for years and this is the first time i,ve heard you sing, this song makes your comments on other singers much more meaningful that they are coming from a genuine talent
so beautiful, maybe my favorite so far! The run with the flip really vocally draws the shape of wave. Then it gets lowder, and quieter... But it stays majestic and beautiful.
I have to admit that I do not fully grasp some parts of you poem, particularly the neologism joysectomy of spring. My skills as a non-native speaker are cleary challengend :D But I will come with some interpretation. Great that you leave room for it
@@d0nnerknispel64 thank you so much! I can be quite the neologist 🥲 My thought process: an -ectomy is when something is removed surgically. (When I was 10 I had a tonsillectomy.) I pondered on a good way to call myself a 'buzzkill', and I thought that perhaps I could say that I felt like I was sooo down, I could even remove the joy from the Spring time. Joysectomy. It is absolutely not a word. It isn't you. It does not necessarily make sense at all. 😘
@@LolliWren But that is brilliant Lolli! Thanks a lot for explaining. Of course, all of us have different stories to tell. But one of the big joys of music is to understand and epathize with the stories of others
@@LolliWren It wasn't a word until now. And it do make sense. Somehow all your lyrics make total sense, but for me as a non native speaker I'll have to listen to them a few times before it all fall in place. Luckily they are such a joy to listen to.
I stumbled upon you on RUclips doing a reaction to Karen Carpenter and now this is the third song of yours that I've listened to and I continue to be blown away! Almost have no words. I am just an instant fan!
@LolliWren Hi Lolli my name is Chris Laino. You replied to a comment I left on another video. I had told you that I learned the guitar parts to "In a Wave" and you had asked if I could send it over to you. I was able to isolate your vocals from the original recording and been playing along with it. Just have to figure out the best way to record it. I would love to know what you think. I love playing it! Really nice guitar work. But, of course your vocals are just gorgeous!
OMG, I had no idea you had your own music! Why am I just learning about this now? I was watching your Cranberries reaction, when you sang with a beautiful voice and I thought, Jeez she should post her own music, I'd be here for that. Lo and behold, you have an entire channel of music! So much to watch now!
I love this whole album so much!!! If anyone reads this and hasn't listened to it all yet please do. Flow is a favorite of mine but it's great from start to finish
@@prsmantse1 I try to listen from start to finish every time, but Flow and In a Wave are my favorite ones to sing along to. The voice isn’t what it used to be, but I still like to vocalize to music that fits comfortably in my range. There are some amazing layers in Flow which challenges me and once upon a time I was classically trained so it’s very challenging to sing with a delicate breathy tone like In a Wave. The lyrics to these two are also resonating very strongly with me right now. Ella is my favorite, but I can’t belt it out like Lolli. It gives me chills every time I start the album.
Holy crap!!! This is 1000 times better than anything I’ve heard from any musician in a very long time. I knew you had a pretty voice, but. Holy crap! And a good well constructed song. There should be a number one hit here!🎉
Wow!! Love your music! I would love to see "The Fairy Voice Mother" showcase your songs. 😘🤪 I think she would be quite emotional. It's so interesting to listen to your songs and realize all the hard work that you so effortlessly express in your songs. So passionate. Please keep it up!! 💯❤
Beautiful song and video and a spectacular scenic view. My only complaint ( if there is one) is that it wasn't long enough. That's OK though. I really enjoyed it. Thank you Lolli.
Thank you for this, Lolli. As a casual viewer of the Fairy channel, I didn't immediately recognize you in the thumbnail, but I'm so glad I clicked. You remind me of several other singers I'm very fond of (Tori Amos and Ethel Cain both spring to mind). Not necessarily in a technical sense, but just in the way your voice seems to communicate emotionally. The little quavers and slides in your singing is very touching and brings an energy to your work that speaks to me in a way that goes beyond the meaning of the lyrics alone (as excellent as the words are by themselves). I very much look forward to hearing more of your music
So I have been watching your reaction videos and went to your page and subscribed today. I then saw your links to your music and WOW, your have such a beautiful voice, you definitely deserve a wider audience, I will do what I can to share your talents with others here in the Virginia area! Wishing you the absolute very best of luck in breaking out to a larger world with your music.
Loved the song on your album, love this video which fits great! While listening to your songs, a quote of Charlie Chaplin popped up in my head: „We think too much and feel too little!“ Well, thanks for bringing a lot of „feel“ to us! ❤

Beautifully said, exactly. I did that as if I 'spoke too soon', because the wave did of course crash. All things pass. 💜
