I truly forgot how beautiful and good this movie was. i watched it as a kid in 2017, and i considered it as just a film, now i see it again with this music, and im remembering what a masterpiece this actually was.
you have to definitly watch it 2-3 times to catch the entire meaning of all the scenes. the picture, the dialogues, the atmosphere etc. the first i watched it. i really found it boring, because i was busy. i rewatched some days ago and its probably a 9/10 without a doubt. specially if you connect dots with the first bladerunner movie. its all connected
@@syafrullah2 Concur. Given the niche genre and slow burn pacing. It got more marketing and success than the 1st Blade Runner. Both films are masterpieces as far as I'm concerned ^_^)b
This is literally the best blade runner 2049 edit to ever exist. Instead of focusing on the hype surrounding Ryan Gosling these days, this video actually puts an emphasis on his role as K in the movie, and this is just breathtaking. K's distant hope; all his internal struggles and emotions; his anger; his desire to “be wanted and loved”; his love, once so real to him, but then shattered in an instant by the ones who created both him and her; him finding his own piece in the end… This edit captures all of this perfectly Insane work, dude, truly. I applaud you.
Just like the original blade runner movie, this one is also ageing like a fine wine and becoming more and more beloved as the years go by. It's took some years but the film is gradually receiving the recognition it deserved from the start.
One thing that made it so much more meaningful to me with the interlinked psych evals is that, that book is a story with a questionable narrator and has some themes that parallel some of Blade Runner 2049’s but it is also the book he reads at night that Joi picks up and asks if he wants to read and he says “You hate that book” so it’s something he reads from time to time and it made me wonder if he reads it and owns it in order for himself to act “healthy” and “normal” all the time since as we can tell he’s broken and lonely internally and by the end he’s so stressed he’s out of whack and it snowballs from there for him. I also feel that K and Joi perfectly encapsulates what his former boss said about him when he discussed “his memory” and she said how it’s fitting that “little K fighting for what’s his” and that’s what he does the entire movie only to realize it was never his to begin with; Joi was programmed to say exactly what she said as shown by her later iterations that don’t know him saying the exact same things and his memories, his life, his job, nothing is “his”, he gets manipulated the entire movie until he finally does the one thing that is actually his, his conscious choice to save Deckard and his “most human” part of all to die for the cause.
After watching the moving I am reminded of the quote ""The meaning of life is to give life meaning"" and I do believe that K did just that in the end by choosing to save Deckard and helping him reunite with his daughter. These choices were outside of his programming, outside of his pre-built repertoire. Even Joi I do believe was starting to become truly self-aware and truly chose something when she asked K to delete her from his home and to just take her on the emanator, a choice which placed her very existence in danger but doing so was meant to protect K. I do believe that K was inspired by his Joi`s choice to think of someone else than himself and thus his choice of saving Deckard and helping him reunite with his daughter.
A masterpiece for all times. The moment at 2:44 and further shows the emotion perfectly, “K” is a man in the skin of a replicant, it gave me goosebumps. A story about the destinies of people and the meaning of life that only we invent for ourselves. K-Joe did everything he could to give meaning to the emptiness of life and die “human.” At the time, the film and this video were extremely underrated. Thank you for your work

I did not watched the film yet, but I globally understood what it talks about. I can say this film applies to much more than just love. It applies to Philosophy or anything else. Even just when you believe in something, and you find out it's not true. For example, you believed that life had a purpose, and you find out it's false. There is so much ways to relate to this.
