Wow can't believe the Simpsons predicted a "submarine related incident" happening What will they predict next? A man falling off a tall building? Perhaps even a cat meowing? Someone must investigate how they are predicting all these very peculiar events!
There was a sub that went to the titanic prior to the Titan that did get stuck in the propeller of the Titantic, they were able to break lose hrs later. That incident is more inline with the Simpsons episode, than the recent tragedy.
Here's a weird parallel between The Simpsons & the Titan that I haven't heard anyone pointing that out The Simpsons the expedition is a father/son excursion The Titan was a Father's Day weekend excursion
A tiny sub with air breathing humans goes into the great depths of the ocean, defying nature. The only protection from certain death is the tiny vessel and the ability to make it back in one piece before oxygen runs out. What could possibly go wrong? Btw the sarcasm is towards the absurdity of trying to call this episode a prediction of the recent tragedy, and not the tragedy itself. May the poor souls who lost their lives RIP and may their families find solace in this unspeakably arduous time. I pay all my respects to them and mean no insult in any way whatsoever.
While trying to write 750 episodes over 34 seasons, there's gonna be a lot of material covered. When doing a submarine show there's only 2 topics to make it interesting. Sub encounters aliens or mermaids or sub gets stuck.
Apparently a submarine getting stuck and then getting free is freakishly the same as a submarine imploding and everyone dieing. 🤷🏼♂️ “predicted the future”. Would have been if they got stuck and all 5 people returned.
@Themaoriraccoon I wouldn't put it past them as long as they could make money they'd do it. There was already a few hints supposedly. He said he was great friends with the people that died on Titan. He'll probably dedicate the movie to them ..... but not the profits 🫠
Not a prediction at all The Simpsons: Two people in two different submersible Real Life: 5 people in kne submersible The Simpsons: Random/madeup shipwreck while looking for treasures. Real Life: Paid vouage to see and old famous shipwreck. The Simpsons: one submersible got stuck and subject survived Real Life: Implosion happened, submersible lost, rescue mission sent, no survivors. There's more and you get the point. Please stop reaching with these comparisons.
Although the novel Futility was written before the RMS Titanic was even conceptualized, there are some uncanny similarities between the fictional and real-life versions. Like the Titanic, the fictional ship sank after wrecking on an iceberg in April in the North Atlantic Ocean, and there were not enough lifeboats for all the passengers. The Titan would have survived a head-on collision with the iceberg, but a glancing encounter did more extensive damage. There are also similarities in size (800 ft [244 m] long for the Titan versus 882 ft 9 in [269 m] long for the Titanic), speed, and life-saving equipment. After the Titanic's sinking, some people credited Morgan Robertson with precognition and clairvoyance, which he denied. Scholars attribute the similarities to Robertson's extensive knowledge of shipbuilding and maritime trends.
There is a RUclips video where one of the Simpson's developers is interviewed because he was one of the previous passengers in the ill-fated submersible. His wife was supposed to join him but changed her mind the last minute because she was frightened.
well the show's been on for 30+ years and they lampoon current events, this isn't something paranormal, this is just smart writers paying attention. No, this isn't a case of them not knowing what to do... this a case of them being cheap and ignoring safety practices.
Oh so just because they showed a submarine getting stuck now they predicted the titan? That's just a simple story about submarine depicted in several movies and series already
The simpson submarine was made way more with higher budget while homer only lost oxygen cause he got stuck but was saved, the real life was lost cause they made the sub the cheapest they can and imploded to death
This is a massive reach and I’m fairly certain a submarine/submersible accident has happened in a lot of fictional media so a lot of things predicted Titan imploding… which isn’t remotely what happened in the Simpsons. This is trying hard to find a connection. 🙄
Sick of seeing this they didn't predict a single thing! The episode is about Homer meeting a man he thinks is his real father. This guy is an explorer who is looking for missing spanish treasure on the sea bed' they find it but homer gets lost then stuck then runs out of air. The titan went down to see the titanic but imploded along the way. That's like saying I predicted princess Diana's death because I got lost in my car and ran out of fuel..
This is just fallacious reasoning. Even a broken clock can be right twice a day. When you throw as much random shit at the wall as shows like the Simpson’s and family guy you can bend a storyline to fit many scenarios. Just as is done with religious texts.
Oh, come on nope they’ve been way too accurate for far too many times people need to start opening their eyes to global things cause it’s all coming together

Honestly there’s been so many events in these episodes that I feel like it’s not that crazy
Lies, they actually know the future
Missed the mark completely. The only thing here is that Homer rode a sub. Nothing else matches.
Yeah there was nothing similar.
There was a sub that went to the titanic prior to the Titan that did get stuck in the propeller of the Titantic, they were able to break lose hrs later. That incident is more inline with the Simpsons episode, than the recent tragedy.
That was the same sub that imploded
Here's a weird parallel between The Simpsons & the Titan that I haven't heard anyone pointing that out
The Simpsons the expedition is a father/son excursion
The Titan was a Father's Day weekend excursion
There is another cartoon called “Wild Kratts” and in one of the episodes, the predictions were nearly spot on.

When a show has been on the air for 30ish? years. Its gonna "predict" something eventually.
Apparently a submarine getting stuck and then getting free is freakishly the same as a submarine imploding and everyone dieing. 🤷🏼♂️ “predicted the future”. Would have been if they got stuck and all 5 people returned.
You definitely wore a face mask during “covid” 😅
They predicted a BUNCH of somethings
Why do most people not understand this?
Now I'm convinced that The Simpsons' writers are a bunch of time travellers
james cameron said the navy knew the sub imploded on monday, why did they decide to announce it on thursday?
Correction, it was on Sunday
They didn’t have indisputable evidence. Source-I was in the sea weed.
@@Mr.Pip_ actually they did, the microphones and other equipment.
So the news wouldn't talk about Joe Briben
The Simpson did it!!!
Damn you beat me! Rip to the lost
Yeah, but Homers sub wasn't cobbled together from parts from a camping store. Nor was it controlled by a logitech gaming controller.
James Cameron is writing ✍️ a script. TITAN in Imax 3D staring Tom Hanks😂😂😂

Yes! Now that was SCARY.

Yeah except that's not what happened. They got crushed by the pressure.
On The Simpsons it was running out of oxygen so they didn’t predict anything. The crew only ran out of oxygen due to the fact they imploded. 🤦♂️🤷♂️
Yea that is true for this one. But everything else that was legit you cannot deny that something very strange is happening with this show and reality
well the show's been on for 30+ years and they lampoon current events, this isn't something paranormal, this is just smart writers paying attention. No, this isn't a case of them not knowing what to do... this a case of them being cheap and ignoring safety practices.
I need a lottery numbers episode so I can play them
1:19 ...well..if you really want to be "specific",The Simpsons first appeared in short subjects in The Tracey Ullman Show on April 19, 1987.
Oh so just because they showed a submarine getting stuck now they predicted the titan? That's just a simple story about submarine depicted in several movies and series already
With so many episodes, some of them will obviously relate to certain things one way or another
Psy ops never let a tragedy go to waste. They knew long before they said. Dominate that news cycle.
This is not even the same. They didn’t get stuck, they imploded. They died, homer survived.
There are tons of things they "predicted"
We are in a simulation. There have been so many coincidence in my life, usually around bad events, that leaving it to chance is too unsettling
The Simpson's episode was actually totally wrong compared to what happened to the Titan.
well yeah but they made a twist and more ‘cartoonish’
TOTALLY THE SAME. LIKE THE SAME OCEAN AND ALL.
u give a million monkeys a million typewriters and one of them writes a word. That doesnt mean that monkey knows the language
This Simpsons episode and the recent disaster near the Titanic have almost nothing in common lol.

this ones a stretch....but most of , if not , ALL, of the others were spot on.
The only similarity is that he's underwater. The rest is your imagination.
