I'm a massive fan of Japanese Taks and back in the 90s the Santa Fe was the dream guitar I couldn't afford. I bought the TSF40C Santa Fe in 2016 and an EF75M-TT in 2017. That being said, I'm having a hard time with this one for the $3200 price tag. I LOVE the inlay work, it's F'g beautiful, and I really like the look of the silky oak, but that's kind of where it ends for me. It's one of those that doesn't seem to go with itself design choice wise. I love ebony FBs, but in this case it would have looked better with a nice rosewood board and bridge. At that price I'd like to see a TLD-2 line driver, nicer tuning keys, and something besides the stark white plastic binding and heel. Taks at half the price come with a nice HSC, so what's up with the cheap gig bag for a $3200 guitar?
I don't have room or the need for more than two acoustics and I can't see giving up either of mine to get this. The TSF40C is just a phenomenal sounding cedar over mahogany guitar, and the EF75M-TT has the spruce over rosewood thing covered in the finest acoustic guitar I've ever played. It saddens me, but I think they made some questionable choices with this one. Love ya Tom :)

Looks great! I would also love to see the Takamine FP-460SC reissued at some point!

The silky oak looks amazing. I want to hear this plugged in to learn more about the preamp system.

(Nice to see a special edition with a cedar top!)

Man, I wish I could purchase one of those, but with only 100 coming to the USA and the price that they will probably command, it's just not likely to happen.

Tooooo simple to be “LTD”. Disappointed.
