I wish leslie grantham (den watts) came back into the show earlier when he was offered in 1994. That sharongate storyline would have been the perfect time for him to comeback. The fact den never met grant and peggy is an absolute travesty.
It’s definitely a shame that Den never met Grant or Peggy that would have been very interesting. @@Ltforlife22 The Queen Vic had always been Sharon Watts true home I think that’s why she’s owned it about 4 times. I have a funny feeling when Mick Carter leaves at Christmas she’ll either buy half of it and run it with Linda or buy the whole think of Linda departs with Mick.
As much as I'm liking this, I find the style quite jarring a times. You've got Ken Watts who remains fully in character throughout the whole thing, then you've got one of the producers of the show who isn't a character, then you have the guy who plays Billy not in character giving the actors view on events as opposed to the characters'. The narrative they are going for just comes off looking a bit of a mess. Compare this to the bills "uncovered" episodes where everyone is talking about the events in the series but remain in characer the entire time which makes it a lot easier to follow. This would have been a lot better if Ken remained in character. make Billy's actor stay in character giving us Billy's version of events and maybe not included the producer explaining everything. That way the audience can deduce how the characters feel about events in the storyline in a way that's a lot more conducive.
@Richard Straker Yes It had doom & gloom primarily based on East End Drama with gangsters and murders taking place but now the Doom & gloom is just truly depressing.
R.I.P Leslie Grantham the original hard man

This is great! I miss this era of Eastenders so much! Today’s Eastenders is shite!

Would've been amazing.
Not much. Den was too old. It would of been better around 1991/2
@@W67w I still have an advantage in sharp intellect.
Nothing Den was an old man.
@@Truth_Seeker1 He was too much of a coward, hiding with his mommy in Brazil. Where was he in 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988 or 2003, 2004 & 2005 ?
