I just finished my last fieldwork last week, and I’m going to start studying for the boards. I hope you continue uploading content. I love seeing black OTs!
CONGRATS ! Love seeing other black OT's. Im completing my last level two fieldwork next week ! Im searching for the best study method for the NBCOT. Im nervous but excited, praying I pass the first time too.
I feel like God brought me to your videos..as a black OT female student, I am feeling a little discouraged right now but I know I am in the right field. I your video gave me a chin up and I will not give up. I am currently in my fieldwork II..I will push hard to pass my exam the first time around 🙃. Thank you..New sub!
I just graduated from OTA school in May and I'm taking my test in a few days. I was just like you in school. I was struggling in the first semester, and honestly throughout the program. However, we pushed through. Thanks for posting this, it's really encouraging.
Hello Lexi, thank you so much for your words of wisdom! I am grateful that I watched this video and it gives me the courage to face my fear of taking the NBCOT to become a COTA! I know that even up until I am certified, there is the stress of finding a new job and jumping right in as a licensed COTA. One step at a time though !! thank you again!
Hey Lexi! I come back to this video anytime I need some uplift (usually after studying my brains out lol) because it can be overwhelming. Hearing someone and seeing someone so relatable is encouraging. So, thank you for sharing your experience and telling the truth about what it was like. I know it's different for everyone, but there are nuggets of truth all over this video
Thank you so much for making this video! I’m only in my second semester of OT school and relate so much to your testimony! It’s also refreshing seeing a black OT making this content💜
I'm SO glad I ran across this! I believe I have to start from scratch with everything since learning during COVID was such a blur. I'm starting my level 2s and I want to find how to best approach studying for the exam. Thanks so much for this!
Congratulations! I’m curious though. Shouldn’t your schools have prepared you all to pass the certification soon after graduation? Isn’t it as much a reflection on them and their program if you can’t pass on your first attempt immediately after you graduate?
100% agree, I just realized that Mario updated his favorite way to tackle ED and it's crazy! Although what he previously talked about was pretty decent, it was difficult to follow, I just go'ogled the latest by Mario Volpstein, it's so much simpler and potent now!
@@lexilu2701 thank you! Which packet for the tmpot did you utilize? I was looking at the $39.99 or $50.00? I have the purple book, therapy ed & 45 nbcot book.
Hey guys! Thank you so much for showing this video love! Comment below what other videos you would like to see!

Not at all. School can provide all the resources, but if a student doesn't study on their own time, it's useless.
Did you use the Navigating Questions package on TMPOT?
I did like 3 of those sessions and that’s what really helped!!

Heyy I plan on taking my test in July. How did you work on time management?
Congratulations! Do you have any study guide to recommend on the topics of Splinting ?
yes! check out the upper Hand RUclips or purchase TMPOT and her ortho section explains it super well!
