This is actually a big help. I'm writing a story with a character that I'm planning to have forming a closer bond than normal with the Elementals (she's a Conjurer/White Mage) to the point that she has a spirit of each element actually living inside her body, and this video helped me decide the order she will get them. I'm gonna go with Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Light, and Darkness for the order.

I recently found your content and it's a lot of fun! I'm looking forward to more. One thing I don't understand, though, is the fact that I thought we learnt in ShB that astral is actually static and umbral is chaos/constant movement. That's what the ice/Shiva/Minifillia thing was about, wasn't it? I need to watch the CS with Ureanger again. lol Edit: Never mind, I spoke too soon. haha Ninja edit: I still don't get how the first part fits into the 2nd. If everything we knew from before ShB is fundamentally wrong, then how does that work in conjunction with... like classes, the world etc.
Every job uses aether, even warriors. As per the Encyclopaedia, their LB3 is them channeling the aether of the party to crystalize it as a wall for protection. More digging would likely reveal more aether related abilities.
I have searched every where and still have no found out how Samurai use aether. Considering that chakra is another work for energy, I would imagine the energy/aether within us all in FFXIV increase our physical abilities. some more than most. But how are Samurai capable of using Ice and Wind? not quite sure.
