  • The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Michigan receiver Roman Wilson in the third round of the NFL Draft, but is he a fit as the team's WR2 next to George Pickens? Chris Carter goes over his college resume to see how Wilson could fit long term for the Steelers, but also what might be needed from him isn't just what he does on the field, but also in the locker room.
Also, Chris Carter takes a look at the new free agent signing Scott Miller, and how the Steelers' ensemble of depth receivers like Calvin Austin III, Van Jefferson, Quez Watkins, Dez Fitzpatrick, Denzel Mims and Marquez Callaway are just a mix of players Mike Tomlin, Omar Khan and Arthur Smith seek to find a diamond in the rough, but with none of them individually being the primary answer at the position.
Finally, Chris ties the Steelers' current situation at wide receiver back to the team's legacy at the position, dating back to Hines Ward, and why Roman Wilson could compare well with what the Steelers need out of a wide receiver, both as a playmaker and a leader.

As a college player I was a 6'2" 225 lb. ILB, and I HATED trying to track little flea sized slot receivers, and personally, I'd rather we field a pair of 4.3 second Darnell Washingtons, but, there is just a bit of evidence to support the viability of the smaller to smallish receivers.
    Santonio Holmes: 5' 11" 190 lbs.
    Antonio Brown: 5' 10" 185 lbs.
    Hines What's his name: 6'

The DBs this year in the draft were small too 👀 Time will tell... AB, Hill, Steve Smith, Ward were all around his size and he is faster than all them except Hill.. He will deliver 🏈💪🏿🏈😮

Hey CC, imo Roman Wilson was drafted to be a direct replacement for DJ. DJ was a 3rd round pick from Toledo. If Wilson as a 3rd round pick, from National Champ Michigan, can’t match DJ’s production during his rookie deal then we can say he is not it. DJ is a WR1 or a WR2 at worst. Roman has to step up ASAP. Best of luck to him #HereWeGo

Love Roman Wilson. He's like a Tyler Lockett. Plays like a tall reciever and fast and akways gets open.More importantly he holds onto the football unlike Dionte Johnson and likes to block like Hines Ward. Only dropped 4 balls in his whole college career. 1 drop last year. Dionte Johnson took plays off and had a case of the dropsies. He dusted Quinton Mitchell the best cover guy in college last year. The tape doesn't lie. Plus he played in the same system at Michigan as Arthur Smith run first offense. NOT a diva! 7 td catches at 7 opportunities in the red zone.
