This video reminded me of a non league team i used to play for. The manager came in one day and said he'd agreed with the chairman that all FA cup bonuses would be split between the players and our eyes lit up, being a step 4 side it wasn't completely out the picture to get close to the first round proper so we got the calculator out fast 😂 but got a bad draw and went out straight away....my money 😢
FFP don’t recognise it anymore if it’s over 5 year contracts. You can buy someone for £100m on 10 year deal so £10m+ a season but FFP will see it as £20m+ a season.

The way Chelsea is run, I'm guessing contracts are heavily bonused based so I don't think players will lack motivation to perform.

The longer contracts at Chelsea allow the team to amortize the transfer fee and signing bonuses over a longer period for ffp purposes.
Yep, but they are still gambling on the assets appreciating or they will be screwed by deadweight eventually.
