I love the fact that he refuses to answer I think society has become almost totalitarian on the issue of sexuality when it should be totally private. Will forever be admired by me
Not really. He clearly appreciates the effort that a barber puts into an important but seemingly mundane task. The efortless effort doubtless also is calming to Moz. Even though it was almost certainly a different hairdresser in Hairdresser on Fire, listen to his compassion for the unnamed hairdresser when a client says he will sue what sounds like a crush on a female barber T 16, clumsy & shy. There is always or almost always an implied subtext. He apparently has or had both an affinity to the artistry of top barbers and d the precision it requires. And the barber seems quite attentive but also relaxed. I doubt it had the barber rattled in the least.
ha! i would be vain too, if i looked like morrissey. he is statue-worthy. and i actually doubt he is that vain. i'm sure he loves to play with his hair and such but i don't know...he says he just sits inside at home all the time and drinks tea and watches tv..who does he have to be vain for? his pets? i love him so much, though. i love everything about the man. he just keeps getting better looking with age. yum.
I have never seen somebody that is so much like myself.Do we have the same parent?I'm the female version of this man.Same attitude & personality.Celebate.Same furniture.I can get crazy nuts protecting my privacy & I'm brutally honest. I'm not gay tho..lol Or I would'nt be If I ever decided to have sex, which I seriously doubt that I will.Becoming celebate was 1 of the best things that ever happened to me,so I understand exactly what he's talking about.
@kaliyuta Well, to be honest, the club he's at isn't really Burlesque, but.... Lol, and he does seem a just a little bit uncomfortable. :p Gotta love him.
An undernourished young man, hacking up a glob of spit & marmalade into his breakfast napkin, in a mean London hostel - that will always be England to me.
Wow...he wasn't even speaking to him but that's the first time I have ever heard anyone (aside from Vic Reeves) contradict Will Self so completely and actually make a point! I know they weren't in the same room or anything and this has been edited but generally Will Self argues very well. But Morrissey makes a good point. What is 'homo eroticism' anyway? I suppose the hetero version is just called 'eroticism' but I'm inclined to agree with him that eroticism is a pan sexual thing.
I can't imagine many things scarier than being filmed whilst cutting Morrissey's hair

Aaaah, the hairdresser section is brilliant :) Must be so nerve wracking cutting his hair! Seriously iconic.
I was scared when the barber tried to start some small talk
I just dig this guy so much! So intelligent!
i can't imagine the dread i would feel having to cut his hair, i'd be terrified!
@texaho I am fascinated by the perfection of his hair in the early 1990s.
He is the single most attractive person in the world.....
The hair bit is my favorite part
Poor boy must have been crapping himself with scissors near moz's head with shaking hands and a camera on him.

He works in Mayfair. He must be an excellent barber.
Beautifully said, Mate. I share your sentiments exactly.
I love how the barber is just trying to chat like he ISN'T cutting Morrissey's hair.
he is a beautiful person, so it would only be completely normal for him to find himself attractive
I love his haircut.
'nice to meet you'
'nice to meet me? yes.'
''..there's always a fly in the ointment...''
It feels weird to hear morrissey singing with a piano accompaniment, but still amazing
that must be so cool to be his barber
I had the Morrissey Hair for the last two years, but I got it never look as good as it looks on him, even though i've "watched the magic" :-)
Don’t try..
just watching Morrissey have his hair cut fascinates me! anyone who followed him from The Smiths fantasizes about his hair...

Do you still feel the same? 9 yrs later
Does everyone have a Morrissey haircut in this video or is it just me...
@kaliyuta Well, to be honest, the club he's at isn't really Burlesque, but....
Lol, and he does seem a just a little bit uncomfortable. :p Gotta love him.
That's his alleged girlfriend Tina at the club with him.
@biboca68 You have to quantify that with "in 1966-67" ;)
Is there any outlet to watch this whole thing with better quality??
he hasn't claimed to be celebate for years

@DeLoused777 Yes, he may be... but only after Syd Barrett.
I am not into his music, nor do I think he is "sexy". However, I do find him very intelligent and funny.
Morrissey is one of the last true stars. Along with Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Jagger, paul McCartney, Bowie, and maybe Madonna. After them, who is there?
" Shazam " haha

@rufusjetaime Luckily it's no longer an issue.
@DeLoused777 I agree 100%.
Thats some chin, its like a f##king ironing board lol
jade campbell , it s masculine
SHAZAM haha
@MotsxxPIXIE I was just thinking the same thing.
@jasminnie Burlesque IS stripping, but it's absolutely beautiful.
I would not compare or mix Morrissey with Madona, Paul McCartney and many others similar to those two because they sold their souls to the evil.
@yassymeeny I Am Hated For Loving, from Vauxhall and I
No.
I can't stand Chrissie Hynde. Never could.
bono :)
Will Self is odious
