Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke." Развлечения
With all British people, this turned into a proper chat show :)

So Epic and Funny

Excellent use of the word 'brazenly'. Well done. You have won 'Internet word of the day'. Congrats.

Steve Coogan is a Legend. He's incredibly funny, witty, intelligent, giving and even political. Shame Jude and James had to talk over him.

@@tonyharrisson6823 honestly look at the guy sitting next to coogan, idk who he is but he cant stop moving and he keeps interrupting him
Because Cordon loves his own voice.
5:30 Steve does NOT like Jude putting his hand on his knee!
+Tom dude, Steve full on kisses men on the lips(I think he did with rob brydon or some double), and has done some really gay looking bdsm stuff on uk tv that made people flick channels/stations, he is not going to be bothered by that guy's arm brushing his knee momentarily while praising his skills.
He hated it
The whole interview they were cock jostling for centre stage. Placing a hand on someone or touching someone is a sign of dominance. He clearly did not like it. He flinched and placed his hand over his knee.
To me it looked like he didn't like being challenged by Jude Law saying "That's not true". He looked quite defensive immediately afterwards.
Off!
I am American and I just want to say that Steve Coogan is a treasure, a tremendous talant.
Hugely underutilised as an actor. Have you seen "in the loop"? Just a small role, but he arguably steals the show
Holy shit! And that's from an American!
He's also a tremendous talent.
I love them (both) so much. Steve is a bloody living genius, hands down one of the most intelligent comedian, performer, artist of our times.
That Billy Connolly impression is brilliant!
SirVic42 I love Billy.
Lovely to say Jude Law in awe of Coogan , respect to both
His Conolly impression was the first I've ever heard. Incredible.
Someone should cast Jude Law as Sting

James Corden is the British Jimmy Fallon and that ain't good.
You sir have hit it on the head.
Yeah but barely any British people watch this show, he should go back to drama shows and not chat show
We exported him for a reason
He’s definitely better than Jimmy Fallon. Fallon is almost useless the only thing he does that’s good is his music/singing impersonations
@@khaledfazzani5193 The same as John Oliver.

Thanks for the comment, and it's fine for you to join in.
This is easily the best interview I’ve seen cordon do. He’s genuinely relaxed and interested and gets the best from the guests.
Steve is the best comedy actor the UK has ever produced in my opinion.
I agree he is a genius
No...Stan Laurel is.

I remembered that Steve was playing "Octavius" in "Night At The Museum".
Three English people doing a chat show in America. What a sight. It's like three mates just having a chat at the pub and there're people watching.
Has Jude just been fitted with new batteries
Coogan is such a perfectionist with his impersonations that you sometimes see a pained expression on his face when he hears lesser talents doing the same voices.
just how much coke has jude done before this interview?
I did wonder, he's acting very odd
My thought exactly!
Two decades ago it was kinda amusing, at age 47 it's kinda sad.

Oh god. How we can dream. I fear Saxondale wasn’t appreciated until it was too late...
Tommy Saxondale, Steve Coogan's second greatest ever character.
Yep, loved Saxondale. Miss it.
I'm convinced James is an experimental subject. The experiment being - take a random very boring, charisma-less average guy out a shite office job and see if you can make him successfully host a celeb chat show.
He's won many theatre awards. He's a decent comic actor, he's not a comedian nor particularly funny as a host
Office job? He co created, wrote and starred in an award winning sit com and won a Tony for his work on Broadway and in the West End. THEN he got the chat show gig.
I'm not saying he makes a good chat show host, but the conditions you list for this experiment of yours are simply not met by James. You'll need to find another subject who hasn't won a bunch of awards in different fields of entertainment already. Maybe you'd like to volunteer?

Absolutely nonsense..I know Jude very well, he went a little mad in his 20s as we all do, but your talking absolute unsubstantiated rubbish
Seems some people disagree. Fair enough. The first two minutes in particular his behaviour is strange to say the least. I wasn't trying to accuse the guy of some atrocious crime, I don't think its that big a deal.

James Corden - personal celebrity sycophant extraordinaire.
Steves Billy C accent was so spot on !
I haven’t seen Steve Coogan in a while. I first saw him in Hamlet 2.
That's literally the worst thing he's ever done.
Check out Alan Partridge. That's his genius. Forget the movies. He's better in comedy shows.
Also check out Cruise of the Gods that gets mentioned in this interview. It's absolutely brilliant.
Hamlet 2 was great; severely underrated (directed by Andrew Fleming who also directed Coogan in the recent Ideal Home, now doing the rounds on HBO).
James Corden is punching above his weight, which is quite a feat.

I knew that Steve Coogan played Octavius in Night At The Museum. I also knew that Jude Law played Graham in The Holiday.
Funnily enough Stan Laurel actually grew up as a teenager in Scotland and his first live performance was in Glasgow aged 16
The beginning was painful when they kept interrupting each other 😹😹😹

Why? Better with the Scottish :P
English only or do you mean British?
I'm English
4:18 I finally started to get Jude Law seriously after i saw Black Sea, before that I was "meh". The movie is ok, but he gives such an extraordinary performance, he is carrying the whole movie.
He does go a bit partridge when he talks about the soft pallet 😂
Was Jude moonlightin at a lion tamers before this
OMG, it's Phileas Fogg!...uhmm...I mean Steve Coogan
Steve coogans impressions are amazing
My wife was born in Germany to Irish parents. Her father was in the Irish guards. She went to British military schools. She was in Germany and England. They came back to Ireland when she was 14. She's 44 now. In Ireland people asks if she's English and England they asked if she's Irish. They can hear both accents. Myself being a Tipperary man and having a very strong Irish accent adds to her vocabulary as well.
it's ALAN PATRIDGE
Jude is riding Charlie the coke horse all the way to the cave!
villagemachine yep it helps keeps his weight down too probably
Thank you sir. My first laugh out loud for the day.
I forgot that Coogan was the Stephen J Canell of british comedy. His production company has pumped out so many shows, no wonder Corden still looks up to him as the Boss.
they are all quite loveyish, especially Jude Law
Shame that American hosts (yes Corden basically is) have to make a comedy legend such as Steve Coogan resort to doing impressions to keep his audience entertained, rather than actually trying to interview the man
Corden is talentless to me, a complete waste of time.
I've never understood how James Corden became famous. He just comes across as a slightly annoying chubby sycophant who never says anything interesting.
He's won BAFTA awards for co-writing and co-starring in Gavin and Stacey and won a Tony award for starring in One Man, Two Guvnors. Is that enough for you?
Amen Oscar, a complete a'hole.
But......thanks USA , Keep Britain Tidy.
There's something I don't like about him, but he does have a lot of talent - more of an ideas man than a presenter, much better as an actor.
He was made famous because he can follow a nerative.
This makes a nice change from the flagrantly American conversation on _The Graham Norton Show_ .
Jude law is flying with Peruvian airways here. He’s fuckin battered !!!
Why is James Cordon famous?
North East Rider same reason as the Kardashian’s. Talentless self promoting arseholes
Possibly for co-writing and acting in Gavin and stacey
Steve Coogan - “I remember thinking......” (Corden blunders in). Now we’ll never know what potentially interesting thing Steve was going to say, but we did have the honour of hearing Corden shouting his inane interruption.
He does seem to shout all the time, like he's deaf and can't hear himself enough
And Steve Coogan also had a regular slot in the 1987 series of the UK game show, The Krypton Factor also made by Granada Television.
Damian Coyne did he? No way! I used to watch that as a kid but never remembered Steve.
Absolutely LOVE Coogan, but the sports car at SUCH a young age (a *little* bit Partridge?) PS Cruise of the Gods is actually really good (and also features a tiny but memorable cameo from Russell Brand, for what it's worth. Brydon is great in it too).
Steve makes me go a little weak at the knees.
He is old now Young Lady....No ! Wait ! he is the same age as me...:)
Much better looking now than when he was young. Also wearing a gorgeous Harris Tweed jacket and waistcoat.
Me too- I loved him in Hamlet 2. Rock me sexy Jesus!
WriterSloane I have so much anger, I feel like I’ve been raped... in the face!
ever see the dvd dr terribles house of horrible
I thought Jude Law was more bald
Implants...
It's funny being an American fan of a ton of British comedy, because I know that none of the Americans in that audience know how good that Billy Connolly impression is, or understand why Jude Law is "intimidated" to do any impersonation next to Steve. They would have loved his Michael Caine though
The fact that such a brilliant and funny and smart guy like Steve is hardly known in The US says a lot. Yet everybody knows who Vin Diesel is.
coogans humour is very parochial it doesnt travel well
Love Steve, can't stand James.
Jude Law must be so high here
I've never watched this show and now I see this clip, well I see it's a croc.
Steve is a legend, James is a knob but harmless enough, Jude was tweaking at the start (look at his jaw) but seemed to roll it in a bit at the end.
I hope Coogan's hair is intended as a joke. Lol
Naah he probably just doesn't give a flying f#ck
@@Einomar Clearly you're right, Lol.
Merely paying homage to Laurence Sterne's wig.
Deadest audience reaction to arguably one of the most versatile actors of our generation. I blame Cordon.
I think they were just listening because they were interested in what he was saying. Coogan had them captivated. Not everything needs an audible response.
@@TyrannosavageRekt Yeah this is true. From all the chat shows I've seen it's that Americans need that validation from the audience, whereas us British don't give a shit
Well, quite a few cultural references that don't have a lot of resonance for them.
In Italy there’s a video joke about Liam Neeson on that phone call where the guy replies after all “sorry you’ve got the wrong number this is a Pizzeria”. Lol
The way Corden says impressions are a fascinating thing at 2:36 is mad
I love the 3 Englishmen mocking the Scots 😹😹😹
I don't know if they are mocking they seem to have a fair understanding of the accents according to region
Fuck off from Scotland!
Ye wee timorous beastie Maureen. That's nae nice wee hen....:)
There should be more of it ! lol
Just the one Englishman actually. Absolutely fucking rude saying folk from Aberdeen sound simple, fuck off Cordon.
Poor Steve to have both Law and Corden crawl up his arse at the same time.
Legend has it he drove barefoot to Dundee for a giant toblerone
I'm from Aberdeen and can confirm that accent wouldn't have gone down well in a pub. Stories are he went to the Pittodrie Bar which is the main pub for the Aberdeen football club socials to get some feedback. While they ripped the piss out of him for his accent he bought the whole bar a round of drinks and he ended up getting some genuine help with his accent for the film. I've seen the film (Black Sea) and it's more a Peterhead accent (in Aberdeenshire, about an hour from Aberdeen ) and he's done a pretty good job there.
