WE need more videos like this on RUclips: hands and sheet music! All other videos are either hands with flashing colors, sheet music with no hands, or professional orchestras but the camera always films the pianist's face or orchestra.
Wow, that's so kind of you to say!! I will definitely try to do my part 😭 I agree with you, I really enjoy watching these kinds of videos myself!! Thank you so much for watching 🤗
Wow! You can reach those stretches in the opening. I can’t… I have to leave out a few notes. I don’t like the effect of broken notes in this. You are very very talented! Incredible playing. I wish/Hope I can do this concerto as I have a huge “thing” about it. It’s sublime and totally beautiful.
@@WithMariya I'm working on the Rach 3 concerto, mvts 1 and 2. It's so difficult. I'm rewatching your performance: You're very talented, you play so beautifully, it seems so easy when you play. I really hope you'll become famous and live your passion, you deserve it!
what a video gift. Very interesting to be able to see so many technical details that are normally hidden from the viewer's eye. The interpretation is superb
Just listened to the whole thing start to finish! Such a beautiful performance! And watching it so close gives more appreciation for the music. Thank you!
Bravo. Excellent performance. There are some really tricky sections especially in the 3rd movement but you made them look "effortless" (I know they're not...). Very good accompaninent too. Fascinating watching the great hand positioning.
I’ve not long come across your vids and they are a breath of fresh air- to see your learning techniques and to see the score and your hands from above is a great and extremely useful experience- I especially enjoyed your Rach 3 vids- it makes you really appreciate the effort and skill involved to be a great pianist- I commend you and from an organists view point it’s great to see piano repertoire shown like this through the learning process 👏🏻🍻🥃
Amazing playing!! You show that you understand what Rachmaninov wanted to express and you can transmit that completely to the listener. I can follow the ideias you had in each passage, this is simply remarkable!
I love the Rach 2. Thank You for your hard work and passion on the 2-piano version ! Cnaciba ! Per your comment about the bug, even the bugs know good music ;-).
Congrats again on your graduation Mariya! And this video is really good - such an enormous effort to put all the sheet music like this, measure by measure! But I bet it’s nothing in comparison to the time & effort it took to learn this concerto to perfection! How do you perform the top down view? I’m still puzzled how to position a tripod hehe. It’s a great view to follow along - very interesting, I can almost feel like I’m playing it myself (who am I kidding? 🤣)
Awww, Lena, your comments are always so sweet 🥺❤️I've pretty much been using Nahre Sol's setup for the past year: ruclips.net/video/xspj9uE5TQQ/видео.html You should check out her content if you haven't already! Currently in the process of upgrading my gear, though, so keep your eyes out for next week's video 😉Should I make a video on my setup?
This was so baller. I’m printing your fingerings tmrw to compare against mine, thank you so much this has been a great help since I am without a teacher at the moment.
I so enjoyed this Mariya. You do play this beautifully. Don't ever worry about a missed note here and there as it happens to ALL the greats. This has become my favorite Piano Concerto of all. I play sections of this but have a difficult time with the big rapid RH chords. My reach is barely a 9th. Can you reach a tenth? Any ideas how to practice those big chords with my average at best hand? Thanks for the wonderful performance and best of luck going forward.
Go for it!! Just make sure to start slow, so you don't have any excess tension in your hands, and let me just tell you that I went back to try to learn this piece many times, years apart before I actually got there :) Good luck, my friend!
@@WithMariya It's strange, because my brother, who has smaller hands than I have, can also pull off the chords. Maybe my hands just aren't flexible enough?
@@applejuices That’s possible, but if that’s the case I wouldn’t force anything. There have been too many cases in composers and performers where forcing has resulted in detrimental injuries to the hands 😞 Every set of hands has its own strengths and weaknesses, and you have to hone in on your strengths rather than focusing on what isn’t working! Hope this helps
Anyway that doesn't matter at all 😅 it was an incredible all over performance... truly inspiring how you manage to record both well-synchronized. And how clean it was. I also like your fingering I'll look forward to it! ☺ make more top view covers

Nicely tuned pianos
Also very good sound quality recording.

I was thinking how realistic the n3x is, but then I see the description it is a real acoustic piano. Ha. BTW nice performance.
Do not despair, N3X is next!! 😭 Thank you so much for watching!!
Bravissima, you finger are perfect! Were you able to find your fingers on your own? Thank you!

I absolutely love your execution of the triads at 12:19, wonderful.
Would love to be able to play this. Im at best a level 6 pianist. Hopefully the learning curve isn't too much for me. Fingers crossed!

@@azeemshah7684 You got this 👍
Well played! I'm strugling with the second chord of the beginning, could you give me any advice?
u can break the chord apart, it doesn’t have to played all together. So just play the low f by itself and then everything else together
Wait how do you play the opening chords? Your hands don't seem bigger than mine but I can only do a few of them.
I think because my fingers are pretty long I can pull them off hahaha

At 7:11 wasn't it supposed to be lower one octave review the score
Don’t think so, that’s in treble clef ☺️

Yes, it is supposed to be. I double confirm. It is only 8va, not 15ma octave line.
So this is played by two people?😮
i believe the other piano is playing roughly what the orchestra would play in an actual performance
amazinnggg and did you put the octave notes one octave higher on purpose? (the ones with the 8va line) at 7:11 im just wondering it sounds cool
Ahhh no that was an accident 🙈 loool too late to change to now!!
@@WithMariya doesnt matter honestly it sounds good!!
just a little more speed and more force when playing the chords and it would be perfect
