When I worked at a hardware store in college in the early 2000s I learned that Boran and Nutone, back then anyways, were the same company. My parents house from 60s didn't have any bath fans in it and my Dad installed a combo unit in the master as it went in the place of the only light fixture. He installed a fan only in the hall bathroom as it good lighting over the sink. The motors in them looked the same. Very good chance, I didn't look, you could buy the motor/fan alone or a basic fan and use it's motor if needed in the furture.
I remember when I lived in my childhood home ours broke. There is a VERY inexpensive way to fix that, get a can of Glade, shut the door and tell people "don't go in there" 🤭💩💣💥
These are just the most satisfying repairs to do, fixing little things around the house!
Yup!
One of the few videos that shows the disassembly of the fan
Yup.
Nice job that 3in1 oil works amazing the older bathroom exhaust fans are better than the new ones made today
This video was a life -- well, fan saver!!
Fabulous!

Hey Bill, I Have That Same Exact Fan In My DownStairs Bathroom Too!
Yup, they are common.
That a sick motor it and the exhaust fan was made sometime in the 1980s
The house was built at the end of 2002. Not the 1980's.
Good video but it really would of been nice to show how you oiled the bearings so a complete beginner could try this. Thanks
Thank you! This was very helpful.
I remember my bathroom fan sounding like that & scaring me out the bathroom
Usually every year I clean those bathrooms fans and oil them
I clean the plastic covers regularly, but not the motors. I have two others with no issues so far after 19 years.

My bedroom tv fan sounded the same as old and new motor
