This is awesome. Is it possible for you to post your example of the notes you showed in a link? I liked what you did and would like a clearer pic of it. Thank you so much.
Thanks for sharing Holley! Wrapping up my first semester of nursing school and it blows my mind because I feel like I was just watching your videos getting ready to start nursing school! I'll be in Med surg next semester so this is great! I am a tactile and visual learner too! I take notes in our PPT and make a study guide from that and then write everything out just like you! Thanks for making these, I know it's hard on your very busy schedule! Good luck finishing up your semester!
I have searched the videos that has study tips for med surg class and your video helps me a lot. I do actually rewrite my notes like you do. When I write, I learn. Thanks for helpful tips💕
Hi Holley! Thank you so much for all the advice! I am a first time nursing student and will start in January ...ahhhh!!! I love watching your channel for these tips, workouts, and food styles. Keep it up:)
My program, the class I'm in right now goes over the content Wednesday and Thursday and test Friday every week. My instructor mostly has the students look up the information in class and present it to the rest of the class. I don't get how she thinks we should be teaching our classmates when we never have learned about it. I am paying for schooling for her to teach us not where people who have no idea about the topic to teach. Many of my classmates are not passing. Any advice?
Would love for a video on how you started your RUclips channel and what inspired you to start it. And why you chose the field you chose! Love watching your stuff and i always look forward to seeing your videos as I am starting pharmacology this spring2018 semester and human diseases in the fall!
Hi Holly! I’m currently in Medsurg 1 now and I just wanted to ask when you do write out your concept formats for the diseases, would you recommend filling in little details or just keep it general? Thanks 🙏
ugh, my instructor for med surg doesn't give us powerpoints. Also our school started using sherpath and she literally reads the lessons word for word like she doesn't know what she is teaching. This is all basically teach ourselves.. :(
Holley! Quick question but did you find med surg extremly hard? Like was it harder than patho?! I start school next week and I'm really freaking out over this class! Love your videos girl keep it up! (:
+Holley Rojek , I heard A&P was important, and your video made it even more clear. So I have been reviewing A&P over and over everyday, until it is second nature. When I start the nursing program, i will just be adding on information on top of it. Also thanks to you, i'm jumping the gn, and reading Fundamentals and Pharmacology as if i was in the course. That way, when I actually take the course, I can teach it to the other students, because teaching is one of the best ways to learn. I learned that when I got my Pre-med Bachelors :b
I'm so happy you posted this! I'm in Med-surg, too! I'm passing, but I'm still trying to get a better study habit so I can get my grade up a little more.
I'm in my first semester of nursing school and I'm prepping for finals next week. I was looking for some helpful ways to review and I saw that you just posted this video!! You always have such helpful study tips, thank you Holley!!
Holly Do you recommend to take anatomy and microbiology together along with other 2 non science clases? Or do you recommend to take one of them in the summer? BTW thank you for this video😊
I'm not Holly obviously lol but from my own personal experience, I wouldn't take microbiology and anatomy together. Focus on one at a time since they are both important but difficult courses.
I took them at the same time! I was required too. I am so use to handling two difficult courses at once that I have become use to it. It is doable! but like others said..if you can, take them separately if it makes you more comfortable!
🎉thank u for this video

YOU GOT IT GIRL
Would you personally suggest an iPad to help studies? I’ve heard it’s a life saver for medical students
when you were in your med surg class, did you ever miss a day, not at clinicals, but like a regular class day ?
Thank you!

I was wondering about your story about high school classes to take for nursing/the break down on applying to college?
Hi Holly! I’m currently in Medsurg 1 now and I just wanted to ask when you do write out your concept formats for the diseases, would you recommend filling in little details or just keep it general? Thanks 🙏

What kind of color pens do you use? I can't seem to find any good ones that last and dont blank out on me while writing!
Sammie Louise my favorite pens are the Hi-Tec-C Maica by Pilot. Or the G-Tec. Im in nursing school as well and these work wonder for me! :)
Awesome! Thank you 😊
The key is the more that you understand A&P related to Maslow *Air, Water, Food/Elimination, Activity&Rest, the better :) Plus do lots of questions
Natasha Thank you for all your tips 💕
@@NurseNeezy your welcome!! :)
When you're studying do you ever have to go back and study A&P?
ALL THE TIME!!!!!
