Great information. Just a suggestion for future videos. I need to max out the volume on my earphones just to Be able to hear the conversation. I even turned on closed captioning to understand the parts when she was speaking so softly. Then, with the amount of ads added to this video, since I have the volume maxed out, it would really hurt once the ad suddenly came on.
I'm trying to get my business off the ground I've drove Medicaid 4 years and was recognized as one of the top drivers of the biggest company in NY possibly nation wide
I've been in the non-emergency medical transportation business for 15 years I have to admit Medicaid is probably the worst running operation I've ever seen in my life but that's a whole another story the clients are getting very bad extremely bad cursing at the drivers pulling knives at the drivers we've had drivers beaten drivers robbed drivers threatened to be shot we have all the drivers have had a bad experience with cockroaches bed bugs and fleas that are caught from the clients it's the clients will urinate and defecate in the car and you do all that for $10.50 a trip
Virginia requires a $25,000 Surety Bond to transport passengers for Medicaid. This is a letter of credit from your bank. If your credit is not good you will not be able to do this business.
Buy an indexed universal insurance policy and build your cash account up to what you need to borrow against your policy tax free, no credit check, no job required. Just a thought.
Can anyone tell me what's the average cost of a round trip for medical transportation and what is the average profit for one vehicle? Also if you have a medical transportation could you also do school transportation
Anyone have to do what I have to? I have to submit to the clerk of county, take pictures of my driver's, then it gets processed to public health dept and then to our county counsel to approve us or not
Hey, this is a great interview. I'm from NC as well currently trying to start PP with NEMT or NET. A few questions that you could ask, is your base rate a certain amount of miles like $30 for 0-5 miles? 0-10miles? Etc. Do you have to have a separate insurance for NEMT and child transportation? What systems do you use? What kind of plates should you have on your vehicles? Do you need a zoning permit in your area? Also I just think it's important to know that a quote for commercial insurance can take a week sometimes to come back. If you try to get too many quotes they try to ban you for it idk why. Sometimes regular insurance company's won't work with a new business sometimes you have to go through a broker. Keep up the good work 😊
@@evathorne2414 WOW!! These are amazing questions, Eva! We will add these to the list of questions to ask our next guest. Thank you for your support :)
@@evathorne2414 I didn't have any issues with insurance in NC. You don't need specific plates for NEMT. You have to reach to a company that does Commercial insurance
@@hustlewithapurpose Thanks for your response. My broker is telling me separate insurance for NEMT and child transportation because NEMT is written for 18 & up IDK but I really wanted to do child transportation and NEMT/NET PP got denied through NCTRACKS 😩 because of Affordable Care Act Requirements 😑 however broad that is and no one can provide any answers 😂🤦🏾♀️ Anyway One Monkey won't stop my show😁 Good luck and best wishes for you both
@@evathorne2414 Yeah...that don't sound right! at all...I can try to help you, if you would like. NEMT transportation is for kids...we take them to appointments all the time. 🤔
