Danny is the true hero of worm. The city is overrun by supervillains and he, the literal personification of geek, just rises up as the leader the world needed but didn’t deserve. I hate Danny-bashing in wormfic, it's so great when people actually show him going through the depressionmaxxing -> badass union boy pipeline he did in canon. Well, I'm pretty sure he was a badass union boy *before* the depressionmaxxing too, but you get my point.
@RavenWolffe77 My guess is that that’s because 90% of wormfic authors didn’t read the actual story. They saw a guy without superpowers in the wiki and went „Uup, he’s a normal guy, that means he’s a looser!“, not really thinking about the fact that he went through almost as much as Taylor, even when completely ignoring that he is a working class hero that rose up to management and is now changing the world.

I'll respond assuming it's a question. Danny was by no means perfect. And it wasn't really that he was too much of a chad, it was more that everything QA liked about Danny, Taylor did better. And on top of that, Taylor was a teen and more conflict prone. However, that said, once Danny gets ahold of himself and wrangles his depression he is a far better person and extremely competent.
That Danny meme is so true. He did ignore Taylor for a while, but it wasn't as long as people think and it really isn't all that unusual for people to zone out while mourning, but as soon as he came to and tried to help Taylor it was already too late.
