You do such a beautiful job taking care of your hair and it’s so healthy and thick. You did a great job despite the products not giving you good results
I used their spray “heat protectant” from this line for a blow out and I didn’t care for it either to be honest! I’ve seen videos of where mo knows hair used it and it looked promising. Great review thanks girlie. Oooooo I want to try the almond and avocado as well! Design is definitely an OG line, I used their relaxers back in the day.🖤
Heyyyy! I knowww- I so hoped it would become a straight hair favorite for me. My hairdressers in the past also used DE relaxers on me. It was (and maybe still is) the bomb. 😀 Thanks for watching!! ✨
Your hair is healthy and strong! I've never used the collection, but I want to try it. I think you will like Design Essentials produce for curly hair. Design Essentials is an excellent brand!!👍🏾
Happy Friday💕 Hey Friend 💛 I never tried or seen these Products. Never tried Design Essentials. Like that you gave it a couple tries but no go. Sounds good. Have a Great Weekend🙏🏼
Please do! Just so you know, I revisited the products and have had much better experiences. Some viewers shared feedback with me that I used too much product. Check my channel and you’ll see the updated Design Essentials video. 🌻
Beautiful hair I haven't used the line just yet however with my experience as a Cosmetologist and silk press being my favorite style you used entirely too much serum for a silk press you need no more than a dime size amount maybe a drop more for the density of your hair... ❤
Hi!! Thank you so much and I sincerely appreciate your feedback. More than a handful of others told me the exact same thing and I listened. I recently revisited these products and had a great style. I tried so hard to use much, much less product. Thank you again! 😊 Your words will ring in my ears when I style w/ Design Essentials again. 👏🏾
Hi! Oh wow, for real? Maybe we both just have to find our groove with this line. I’ve used it since and I used a lot let product and got more satisfactory results. Actually I did an updated video called Revisiting Design Essentials. If you watch it you’ll see I was much happier. Will you try it again?
Hi there, thank you for watching! I’m going to try the system again. Someone told me I was using too much product that’s why my hair was weighed down. We’ll see. ☺️
Have you tried altering the instructions to use the serum pre-blow dry? I ordered these products from Ulta the other day, and haven't used it yet. I'm still working through my aquage serum and kersastase leave in cream which I layer on my hair before blow drying. I have super fine hair and only use 350 degrees but my hair gets silky straight every time. Using a serum on already dry hair just doesn't make sense to me even if it's what the label says. That will surely get the hair weighed down unless you used a tiny amount (which you didn't as you know).
Hi! I did think about using the serum pre-blow dry! I’m so glad you suggest it. I followed the brand’s directions b/c they should know, right? ☺️ I’ll definitely switch things up next time. I’ve tried using 375° on my hair and it just doesn’t get straight enough. 😩I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Do you flat iron in very, very small sections?
To bad these products didn’t work for you. However your hair still turned out great when you finish. To bad it didn’t last though. I was interested in trying this line but going to have to think about it now lol. Thanks for sharing
I was sooooo hoping it would become a favorite. Good to see you, lady!!! I caught your recent couples’ video. (That might not be the exact title- too hilarious. Y’all know each other very well, though !)
Hi there! You might be right. I believe I was ripe for a trim during this video. Trims can make a world of difference. I’ve been wearing my hair straight lately and I frizzy ends currently. Coincidentally it’s also trim time. I appreciate you!
Same for me😊. I’ve use the several times since I made this video and I used less product (based on viewer feedback). It worked better but still not amazing.
@@NaturallyCorporate the (thermal protectant cream) just use a pea size amount I know it seem like it’s not enough but it is I have long thick hair it’s down to my butt but once I followed them steps I was scared of heat damage but never gotten heat damage and I always get salon results using that line
Don't use the spray& serum 2gether,only use one, your hair will silk press with fluffy, silky, light weight hair! The step 3& 4 r 2 much 4 fine hair, use only one!
Hi Vicky- thank you so much. I plan to use the products again to flat iron my hair in a week or so. I will definitely take your advice. Much appreciated!
Hi Ben - thank you. I've heard that feedback from someone else as well. I feel like you were scolding me, but from a place of concern hopefully. :) I plan to definitely use the products again and change up the amount I'm using. My stylist used DE on my hair for years and I loved it. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
I just tried the Design Essentials Almond and Avocado line and fell in love! I’m definitely going to put this line on my list
And I’ve got the Almond & Avocado 🥑 on my list! 😁 I shampooed over the weekend and I used the shampoo & conditioner- I really like those.
Girl… Your hair is so freaking gorgeous and thick! Thanks for sharing!
Aww thank you!! 🥰🥰🥰

...never have I ever had my ends tangle up on me 😳. Thx for tuning in. 💕

I love the line. Your hair looks good.
Thank you!! I’ve tried it twice since this video and I took the feedback from the comments. I was using too much product. 😑
Happy Friday💕

Hi 👋 You're hair looked really pretty and shiny. My hair is fine like yours so I'm not going to use this line. Do you still use Rucker Roots?
Your hair looks great! Hate that it didn’t give the longevity! Also love the bun! ❤️
The flat ironing turned out nice. Too bad the product didn't work. Excited to see the curly product review. I haven't tried the line before tho.
I must not being using enough because mine converts to an afro 🥴. Your hair turned out very pretty

Never used Design Essentials. Your flatiron came out nice.
Hey friend, thank you!
I was really hoping the product would work.😔 Nevertheless, the result was gorgeous!!🎉🎉 Thanks for sharing! I enjoy your videos!
Thank you as always!
Your hair is so pretty
Hi Mony!! Thank you so much. I really appreciate the compliment. 🙂
Would you use just the shampoo and conditioner? It seemed like the additional products is where things went wrong. Thanks for the review!
Hi! Absolutely, I’ve been using the shampoo and conditioner by themselves. I really like them. 😊
@@NaturallyCorporate Thanks!
Your hair looked so nice and shiny. Sorry it didn't last. tfs.
Thx girl. ✨
Thanks for this review...extremely helpful

The curly hair products might be fantastic- I want those next. ✨
What system do you like the most ???? Mizani????
Hi Cindy! Does Mizani have an at-home system for heat styling?
I might just purchase the serum, not the whole collection. it's wild how I want a silk press in the summer
I don’t think it’s wild at all because I’m the same way. 🙂
@@NaturallyCorporate right cool. I am working on perfecting my silk press.
Heyyy - You did a good job with your hair too bad it didn't turn out how it usually does lightweight and flowy. I never used this brand. FW & TFS !!!
I was sooooo hoping it would become a favorite. Good to see you, lady!!! I caught your recent couples’ video. (That might not be the exact title- too hilarious. Y’all know each other very well, though !)
I haven't had these challenges. Perhaps a trim on your ends?
Hi there! You might be right. I believe I was ripe for a trim during this video. Trims can make a world of difference. I’ve been wearing my hair straight lately and I frizzy ends currently. Coincidentally it’s also trim time. I appreciate you!
Where can I purchase product.
Hi! I purchased mine from Design Essentials website.
So do you not deep condition your hair?
I did not deep condition on this wash day. ✨
It doesn’t work for my hair when I do it at home but when I go to the salon, the stylist uses the same line/collection and it does well 🤷🏽♀️
Same for me😊. I’ve use the several times since I made this video and I used less product (based on viewer feedback). It worked better but still not amazing.
Is the blow dry serum sticky?
Hi Ann! No, it’s not sticky at all. 👍🏾
Thank you!!!!
Are you a news commentator you have the voice for it
Hi! I was a radio news anchor and reporter for 10 years. ☺️🎤 Thank you.
Simply gorgeous results directly after using the steps - too bad they didn't pan out to produce a style with longevity :/
I’ve been using that product for 3 years you use too much product that’s why it was “ weighed down” your hair!
Thanks for letting me know. Which item in particular do you think I used too much of so I’ll know next time.

Hi Vicky- thank you so much. I plan to use the products again to flat iron my hair in a week or so. I will definitely take your advice. Much appreciated!
Agreed! I use the serum and not the spray and it comes out weightless
@@nylahscypion-butler7244 So good to know. Thank you Nylah!
It’s lacking the body?
Yes, it did. I’m used to my hair flowing. But b/c I used too much product it was weighed down.
And you used too much serum. That wasn’t a small amount.

You used too much product.
Hi! That's what I've been told. Thank you for giving that feedback, though. I plan to use it again in a few weeks.
