Smu could be a serious problem. They are located between tcu oklahoma lsu Arkansas and texas. Meaning they could steal high end recruits from sec territory
They are already starting to make an impact in recruiting. I think they are just getting started because being in a more prestigious conference is going to help with their future. I believe they have good Nil Money too.
Texas plays 5 ranked teams. Smu plays 2 ranked teams. Texas plays Sec Competition Smu plays Acc Competition. Texas also plays Michigan on the road. Texas has a WAY tougher schedule. Sorry, but this can't really be debated tbh.
Okay I will go ahead and announce I am an alumnus of Houston Coogs and Navy Veteran. The ceiling for SMU in year 1 back in p4/A4 is 7-5 or 8-4. The floor for SMU is 3-9 or 4-8; which means 5-7 or 6-6 is a good start. The schedule SMU has for non conference and conference games I will say that the following are definitely losses: BYU TCU Fla St Louisville Duke So I think SMU should be 7-5 but 5-7 is reasonable.
That's fair. I didn't realize Smu lost to Tcu last season, so that game could likely be a loss. But I don't think byu is that great and smu has that game at home.
Tbh it's a very manageable schedule for y1 in the Power 5. Potential dark horse in a wide open conference.
I completely agree. I think their floor is 7-5. Their ceiling is probably an acc championship appearance.
This is the best football youtuber
Thanks for watching!

@@TotallyTmanCFB the ncaa are going to come after them because they are a threat to the blue bloods
In my opinion SMU’s schedule is much tougher than my Texas Longhorns’s schedule.
This has to be a joke 🤣

@@TotallyTmanCFB in other words I mean it’s not as tough but it’s still a tough schedule
@@TotallyTmanCFB actually Texas’s schedule is not tough at all although there are some tough games on their schedule
@@minaeldiwany3215 that made no sense and you probably dont know a thing about college football

10-2 with back to back losses to fsu and louisville
Dang, that would be a very good first season in the acc for SMU!
Smu beats byu. Smu narrowly lost to byu in a bowl couple years back.
