My compliments Troels. You nailed it again. What a beautiful library. As I play the trompet and a bit trombone, I can't do it better than this amazing library, it sound so real. Btw, that hourglass is stunning. I will use it in practice, thanks man.
I bought this recently and have been getting to know it gradually. It complements my other studio brass libraries quite well in that it's very gentle as apposed to my more aggressive jazz/blues oriented libraries. Just what I was looking for! I'm guessing this was played by classical musicians?
I was however disappointed to realize that there are no poly-time and poly-legato patches as there is with intimate strings. I'm especially missing the poly-time patches. I really hope this comes out as an update soon because it would make it so much easier to use the library.
Also, it can sound a bit synthetic at times. It seems to be an issue with the attack of the sounds as far as I can hear. Not sure if they actually sound like that or if it has to do with post processing. Might just be that I'm not used to hearing brass played like that, but it does sound a bit unnatural to my ears.
And it would be so nice to have a patch where you can blend between Sustains and Sustains Vib. I'm missing that in Intimate Strings as well.
But overall I'm really happy with this! It does the softer and more intimate brass that Broadway Big Band and Session Horns Pro doesn't do so well. I'm loving the performance patches. Very useful!
There is however some room for improvements. :)
Thanks for this post. I recently bought Intimate Strings and because of the present sale considering Intimate Brass. However, I've been hesitating, and your intelligent post put in words some of the things I was trying to 'put my finger on'. I may yet buy it cuz I'm a huge 8Dio fan, and it does sound great. Thanks!

Any chance of getting chordal legato here like you have in intimate strings?
I discovered that the legato mode can only be played monophonic. Can i expect an update in the future so that i can play chords in the legato mode?
This is an awesome demo, and a great sounding library! Well done Troels! I see you switched to Studio One, is there any particular reason for that?
I love all daws, but keep coming back to Studio One cause its pretty to look at. But Cubase for bigger orchestral stuff. But also curious about Logic, Ableton, Reaper and all the other great ones.
Are there going to be alto and sopranos saxes added in the future?

Sounds good! Can I use this as a kontakt plug-in or is it just to put it on the instrument insert in my daw?
I'm pretty sure all of their instruments are Kontakt-based... It tells you right on the product page that you'll need the FULL version of Kontakt, version 5.6 or later.
what drum vst is that starts at 9:21?( I dont mean the steel drums)
