Declan always uses his own quotes for the title of the episodes even on purple daily🤣🤣 "erratic" is a much better word that could've been used in the title

My least favorite Twins thing is that Lopez’ ERA is about 6.00 with negative WAR while Luis Arraez leads both the AL and NL in hitting again.

Outside of Correa, Miranda, Margot, and now Lewis, basically every Twins hitter since we played the Yankees at Target Field on May 14th has been terrible.

Twins have about the 10th most talent in the league, but with owners that do not care about winning and a bottom 5 manager, bottom 5 coaching staff, and bottom 5 front office, inconsistency is the best they can hope for. If they get on a run near the end of the season maybe a wild card series win again, but no chance of a playoff run. Same crap, different year

Totally agree. Owners care more about bottom line than spending money on a winning product on the field however what they don’t understand is, if the product was better more people would spend money to come watch them play. So frustrating because after last year they probably were a piece or two from actually being a World Series contender…now back to crap.

@@drewrobbie2560Jerry Reinsdorf, White Sox owner famously said once that all he wanted as for them to finish second every year. High enough to keep the fans interested and coming without having to pay the players championship money. Apparently being mildly competitive about half the time is getting ownership enough money to be happy

Connie Mack did the same thing with the Philadelphia As back in the day, as soon as they won a championship or two, he sold all his good players and were bad for 10 years, then when they were great again, he sold all the good players again. He famously admitted that he wanted to be competitive for a while each year then a dumpster fire at the end. That way fans would come to the park because there was always hope.

Sooner or later the Tigers are going to figure things out and pass the Twins and no wild card. You guys are too arrogant that the Twins are going to be a wild card. The Rays and Blue Jays are not far behind.

This team will never be a serious contender as long as Chip, Dipp & Baldummi are in charge.

The twins are a mediocre team, trades at the deadline won't fix this. Honestly, the twins should make trades for prospects at the deadline and go into the off season with 40 plus million saved from this year to bring in a #1 starting pitcher and better supplemental players.

The Twins are average. I see them getting swept in a wild card series. At this point bring up the young guys and let them play.

Last time I went to a Saints game, Daryl Strawberry and J.D Drew, we're on the team. Going for the last playoff spot is just dumb. Yeah let's play the Yankees in the playoffs. They'll just get embarrassed again

Kepler’s batting average has gone from .310 to .255. He’s back to the .235 career average player he’s always been. Trade Kepler now while you can still get something for him before he walks for free in September. Need to figure out something on Buxton he is an offensive albatross around the Twins’ neck now.

what's it going to take to send farmer back down to triple A? I'd rather have Martin on the bench with his speed than a guy who can't get a better average than .180

The Twins cannot win with ROCCO at the top. There are parts of this team that could be competitive if the managerial parts knew what they were doing. Hitting is the biggest disappointment, starters are skilled enough to win when the defense shows up.

I would disagree when it comes to holding off on making deals, even for the top 5 players. Problem is, where are you going to play everyone? Lee could be brought up to play 2B, but then are you trading Julien? You have Buxton signed long term. Kirilloff is going to be given every opportunity to succeed. Larnach is having a good year and is still young. Twins love Kepler and like Margot. Then you still have Wallner, Martin, and Emmanuel Rodriguez hanging around in the minors waiting for a chance. And I haven't even mentioned Gabriel Gonzalez yet. Where are you going to play everyone? Who do you think they get rid of? Emmanuel Rodriguez is at peak value right now, for a guy that struck out almost 30% of the time in Cedar Rapids last year and is generally graded by scouts as having a poor hit tool. I honestly think you're likely to lose nothing short term or long term to package who you need to to bring back a young stud controllable MLB arm to pair with Lopez and Ryan for the playoffs. Then let the cream of young guys rise to the top and assess in the offseason. There's certainly a strong argument to be made for being active at the trade deadline.

Agreed on the analysis for the most part. the disparity of top end talent to low talent just makes the Twins unable to be consistently good. Side note - I think it's time to acknowledge that Cleveland is that good. Everyone keeps waiting for them to drop off, but seems like it's not going to happen.

Be foolish to move a top prospect at this point twins aren't close to top teams in the AL no trade you can make at the deadline is changing that . Just move a few vets & give brooks Lee a chance to play at some point id guess Walner & eddy will be back up just hope they can be better can't keep running out kiriloff, farmer who both been atrocious

The twins are neutral team thier in the middle in terms of goals achieved. The structure is there but the structure isn't heavy enough like the offense for example they already have 5 shutout losses of the season. I'll be shocked if they make it to the wild card round

Buxton just isn't giving us anything offensively. And Duran is waayyy overrated. Looking heavy and out of shape. Rarely a clean inning & hasn't had multiple K's in over a damn month! No pulse. Too many ho-hum type guys lost in their own head mental cases.

A pitcher being heavy is not a problem. It's been shown constantly throughout MLB history that pitchers that are either heavy or fat are often good pitchers. This is because they can use their body mass, rather than their elbow to create velocity, which reduces the chance of getting Tommy John.
