7:23 is a reference to the big lawsuit that just finished a few months ago where Ed Sheeran was getting sued for "Thinkin Out Loud" being too close to "Let's Get It On".
Honestly, plagiarism accusations these days are just ridiculous. All music for the recent years has just been different versions and repetitions of the same cords. Of course songs are going to sound similar.
Funny thing is, Ed is-or-was sueing Gloryhammer for their I See Fire metal version. Different countries have different rules. Poor Angus is always having to consult Thomas the lawyer.
Tell me why this man looked like he was about to throw hands with someone. "Martin Gaye wouldn't be caught dead on a song like that". Dave actually looked offended 😂
Thank you for reacting to these! Daniel Thrasher's channel is an absolute treasure, feel free to check out more. I recommend checking out "When you learn a riff and put it into everything" parts 1 and 2.
Steve Vai was the guitarist. a solid 90% of the mjolnier mix was done on the first pass. The dive bomb, the solo, the tremelo along with the violin. The recording with Marty Odonell in the background is the first pass and watching everyone in the studio start smiling is such a warming felling.
Everybody knows once the Halo theme kicks in you better stop moving and immediately start looking for where it's coming from because a boss battle is about to happen
daniel thrasher makes some good videos, underrated when it comes to his other videos when it comes to reaction channels. Can't wait for your reaction, if you choose to react to them.
6:57 So many of the versions he plays in these, I just need full versions of them. They sound so damn good. That Russian Britney Spears waltz, the minor-key Ed Sheeran here...God damn. He does a bluesy Game of Thrones theme in another video that blew my damn mind.
Hey Dave, you should definitely react to his series, : Making jingles for companies and also his popular "song" Igowallah a.k.a how rap sounds to non english speakers
Not a series but they are really fun videos of Daniel: "when a teacher writes song parodies" and "music in an alternate universe". There's also the "surgery" videos: "autotune surgery", "reggaeton surgery".
Funnily enough, the first scale I learned how to play on Tuba was the concert Bb scale, the second being the concert F, Third being the Cand fourth being the Eb… although the first scale I learned for piano WAS the C. Went through a similar progression on Flute that I did with Tuba, as well.
When you said about the teacher asking for ice and that he should have played Ice Ice Baby i thought the same thing. He should have used Under Pressure for this segment instead of in the earlier video as it would have made it even funnier due to the song being used as part of the Ice Ice Baby song, too.
there was a Lawsuit from marven gays lets get it on against ED Sheeran for copy right infringement from sheerans song thinking out loud that why he said that lol
Hey! I know this is a bit off topic from this video, but i really want to see your reaction to the conjuring house video that the boys recently posted. Now i know the video is very long but you could make 2 or more parts of you reacting to it. I see alot of other reaction channels doing that.😁
Rewriting jingles for major companies, is a great series. "When you write a song about heartbreak" is a hilarious one off.
The Marvin Gaye reference was based on Ed getting sued because his song Thinking Out Loud sounded a bit too much like Let's Get It On 😂

@@Cat-dq1zp It didn't help that Ed Sheeran played the two songs as a mashup at one of his concerts

That Halo Theme still hits 22 years later 😭

I'll check it out!
When you accidentally write theme songs that already exist is my favourite one of these!
absolutely recommend a song he made recently called Igowallah, it's a classic
WHY TF YOUR VOICE SO SOOTHING

Hey Dave this little mini series was very enjoyable, I recommend "Micro -songs to boost your mood"
There 13 of them, so ✨CONTENT✨
The micro-songs series is amazing! I second this!
I recommend his songs Igowalla and 'How Lin-Manuel Miranda Orders a Pizza'
Neva gonna go away neva gonna let ya stay 😂

If he thinks that Marvin Gaye was being disrespected by Daniel associating him with an Ed Sheeran song, then……
Maybe he should do some reading.

Agreed, but you should know that the original 'Shape of You' is already in a minor key.
The way he paused and just looked at the camera after Daniel said, I thought Marvin Gaye wrote that one
I love his micro songs series, it's so random and hilarious. My favorite one on his channel
Hey Dave, you should definitely react to his series, : Making jingles for companies and also his popular "song" Igowallah a.k.a how rap sounds to non english speakers
Love these reactions! Hopefully you can check out "if songs had sequels" and the "micro song" series they're really good
Such a fun, as well as enlightening series, Dave.
Man, takes only a couple seconds of the halo theme to release enough adrenaline in my system that I aint sleeping for the next 12 hours
Not a series but they are really fun videos of Daniel: "when a teacher writes song parodies" and "music in an alternate universe". There's also the "surgery" videos: "autotune surgery", "reggaeton surgery".

The Halo theme would work really well being mashed up with Mr. Tumnus’s lullaby from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
For the halo 2 theme, the guitarist was Steve Vai. I heard the composer say it himself.
I think that Marvin Gaye thing was in reference to the lawsuit with ed Sheeran that didn’t make any sense
writing sequels for songs is a part of this series
Do his song "What Rap Sounds Like to Non-English speakers" it's great.

Lmao bro looked so offended when Daniel said he thought Marvin Gaye wrote "Shape of You" 😂
0:20 as a person who is in brass i learned Bb first but we did eventually learn c at some point my first year of band!
you didn't just get rickrolled, you got dollar store rick rolled
Halo. The Best Video Game Theme Ever Written
I def recomend musical nonsense to vibe to its just well- a vibe.
2:11 That actually sounds a lot like David Bowie's 'Big Brother' until 2:15 lmao
I want that keyboard and sound snip file SOOOO bad… 😢😢😢😢😢 •sigh•… one day… one day
You should continue watching Smi77y's heavenly bodies series. They recently finished it. Great video Dave!
marvin gaye was a side joke because ed sheeran and the gaye estate had some copyrite fight because of that very song from ed sheeran
Steve Vai added the guitar for halo 2
theres a video of Steve Vai playing the Halo Theme
2:57 I have risen to my gaurdians hero
funny enough, Luigi's Lament is already a song
Daniel thrasher also did theme songs and sequel songs you should check if you haven’t
Wait! There’s a 6!?!🙀🙀😻
Hey! I know this is a bit off topic from this video, but i really want to see your reaction to the conjuring house video that the boys recently posted. Now i know the video is very long but you could make 2 or more parts of you reacting to it. I see alot of other reaction channels doing that.😁

Check out Joey Ramone's version of What A World Its so good!!!
he was making fun of the lawsuit between ed sheeran and marvin gaye i think
My guy, do you have $10.5k to spend on a keyboard?
Maybe 👀 😂
When we getting ur reaction to calliope mori new ep
I honestly feel like that was definitely disrespectful to Marvin Gaye and it was unnecessary
❤
