      Gary Mainz Jr pretty sure I’d beat you in a 3 game match. You must like increasing the chances that your score suffers or your ball get slashed up because the sweep DOES come down before the ball hits the pins. Not sure why they have it set up like this, but it’s terrible.

    • @Brogers97
      @Brogers97 5 лет назад +2

      @@TraumaER How is the sweep coming down faster going to harm your score? Or damage your ball for that matter lol. The sweeps run on a sensor, it comes down when the ball passes the sensor, meaning the sweep can't come down on top of the ball or anything lol

    • @TraumaER
      @TraumaER 5 лет назад +1

      Brendan Rogers forget about late messengers or random trip 4s or the reverse domino pin action of 4-2-1. That sweep coming down before the ball hits the pins is the worst thing I’ve seen since I bowled on gently sloping lanes that made the ball speed up the closer it got to the pins.

    You guys should review the purple hammer it’s completely different than any other ball on the market and feels very different to every other urethane.

    I had a zero gravity and loved it . Would this be a perfect replacement for it . From what I am seeing it doesn't have the snap that the zero gravity did so I probably would have it put 3000 or 4000 grit to save the energy for the backend. Typical lefty more speed then revs. And I bowl right after the league before us is finishing up so no re oil.

    • @TamerBowling
      @TamerBowling  Год назад

      I honestly don’t think you can make the Evolve close enough to the zero. I’d look for something else

    James makes dog ass balls like this look good. I’d wager he rarely threw this thing after he drilled it. Personally, These big asym pieces are just interchangeable to me. Sometimes you need something to hook in oil, and they all kinda do the same thing to my eye. However, I do like my prime on a lot of friction, it burns up and lets me play straighter on easy stuff, it doesn’t jerk if I get outside early. Merry Christmas tamer!

    • @TamerBowling
      @TamerBowling  3 года назад

      Merry Christmas! At the end of the day, I look at everything through the lens of arsenal building. Most big solid asyms tend to fit in the Strong Defined category and in that regard, even if they roll a little differently, they are interchangeable in the sense that you would only bother with on in the category in the bag. The more important thing is to understand the ball motion of an individual ball to ensure it actually fits in a given slot. For example, I would not put the gravity evolve in the strong defined, more strong control. It simply doesn't have the backend to be considered to be "defined". I would say the same with the Volatility for example. In my bag, I would put the UFO in strong defined and Volatility in strong control.

      @@TamerBowling I guess I have two big pieces that are like that... Colombia savage has more angle downlane but is still much earlier than my pin down prime, which is cleaner and doesn’t climb the hill like the savage does. I normally bring both of them when I think I need them and throw the one that fits the shot better. Prime is a beast playing straight, the savage I can put some belly on it and it still goes through the pins nicely. Hardly ever find enough oil to use either one, though.

    Hello I’m two handed and I was wondering if you could help me build a 6 ball Arsenal. I have a hero and a trident elite. I’m looking for a few balls above the trident a few below the hero and maybe one in between. Any input would be greatly appropriated, thank you!

    • @TamerBowling
      @TamerBowling  5 лет назад

      Jacob Kerr sounds like you have the middle of the road balls covered. You can look downstream with balls like hyroad pearl or so. Maybe something above with an asym. There are a lot of balls out so I don’t want to call something out specifically. You can have a look at the lines for brands you like, watch out reviews and then ask about them individually based on what your eyes like.

  • @rb8999

    I'm not really a fan of how this looks. I wonder if Storm has ever tested the ShapeLock HD core with R4S solid. The obvious choice for me to bring back this core would be NRG Hybrid but the Physix is still in the line.

  • @nordattack
    @nordattack 5 лет назад

    I had been considering the Pro Motion as my BIG BALL for heavy sport or house shots but now I am wondering if the Evolve is the better choice.
    I am a Full Roller with low revs (110 rpms) and low speed (12 mph launch) who plays up the boards, or down and in.
    Basically keeping the pocket in front of me is my A Game.
    I have my medium and weak balls that are very straight and smooth (DV8 Poison and True Motion) but I need to add that big, heavy rolling control ball for heavier volumes that will still let me float it to the pocket very straight without the fear of over/under or excessive backend.
    You think the Evolve is a good choice? Or perhaps one of the other balls you have reviewed lately is a better choice.

      nordattack the evolve could work quite well with your specs especially given your down and in style.

    I love the reviews however finding someone close to my style is near impossible. (PAP is way out in the weeds). Anyhow how with this look with a bowler with a lot of hand (~500 revs) a lot of speed (17.6 - 18.1 at the pins) very little tilt/rotation? I am worried that the spec cover is too much cover (my PSOs didn't like the Crux Prime as they said it was too much ball for nationals/tour). I am curious what ball is similar to the sure lock as that was one of my best looks I had with an Asym solid. IF not then the Dark Legend Hybrid was also one of the best looks I had with a Hybrid reaction.
    Thanks.

      This is a ball that’s aimed at tougher patterns, for the bulk of us it just won’t be a good fit on THS. I know why they put it in the premier line, but this is simply a big Oiler.

      @@TraumaER The reaction looks similar to the other Storm balls with the SPEC cover. SPEC isn't a skid snap cover and all the balls that use it have a pretty smooth reaction. Don't mistake the slower looking reaction to a weak reaction. When I threw the Promotion at a demo day I could tell it was definitely stronger than my IQ solid even though their shapes were very similar. I think a little bit of lane shine would have livened up the reaction for tamer for this ball. I have a feeling box finish isn't an optimal match up for him on a THS.

    • @TraumaER
      @TraumaER 5 лет назад +1

      Michael Paz agree. Tamer has a pretty weak rev rate so a lot of balls look weaker on here than what others would show. My rev rate is in the 400s with 17.5mph speed so it doesn’t look the same as he does. But yeah it doesn’t show skid snap which I don’t like. But it also doesn’t look like it hook strong through the pocket either. It also may be the way he drilled the ball too.
