Let me just comment that the convenience of a permanent home is nothing compared to the rewards of your family traveling together and bonding with each other. It made me happy to look at Andrew, Peter and Asher all occupying the same couch and talking and Jude and Daniel playing in the trampoline. It reminded me of my own bonding moments with my siblings. I'm thinking that those sibling bonding moments "might" happen rarely if you guys live in a permanent home and the kids have their own set of friends to hang out with in the neighborhood. You have good children and it helped that you traveled most of the time so the siblings become each other's best friends. Your setup might not work for all families but then each family dynamic is different and we all need to receive different inspiration from heaven on what will work best for our own family situation. Thank you for letting us a peak in your family!
If you go to the Science Museum, the Victoria and Albert and the Natural History Museum they are REALLY close together so nice and easy to go between - there's even an underground tunnel between them in the tube station (on the non-pay side), so you don't even have to get rained on! The British Museum is amazing too though.
I moved from PHX to Seattle over 30 years ago and miss the sun. Seattle is very much like England as far as dark and dreary skies. To help alleviate SAD, turn on all the lights in the house and leave them on all day. Open all the curtains. Eat lots of greens, citrus, and mushrooms. Take saffron capsules, turmeric capsules, B12, and vitamin D. Go outside regardless of the weather. Smile until you feel it. Pray until your knees hurt.
thank you for being so honest and heartfelt about feeling uneasy. It was very comforting to feel connected and not alone in those feelings. I am so thankful for you and your channel!
I love your honesty, you are being truthful and telling us like it is. Not all days are great and sometimes its hard to get a wriggle on and feel it! Social media can give a false impression of peoples lives being so great all the time. Its nice to know that even you guys, as amazing as your journey is, can get a bit of the blues...England is always harder in January...the lack of sun is horrible!
To help my kids with, “Is it time for?” I put a color code on a clock for certain things. Ours was for time up and breakfast, school, breaks, free time, ready for bed time.
I'm so glad I found y'all! Your family page has quickly became one of my favorite channels. I love your truth and honesty, the children and all their adventures and each of you for just being you!
I love how you're open about examining what may be "off." Thanks for sharing! Definitely appreciate how you talk about physical, sunshine and spirituality. And I appreciate that you don't gloss over the difficulties of long-term travel, even if it is the more rewarding option, doesn't mean it's always easy. Thank you for sharing your lives!
I just spent a few months taking care of my very ill sister....it was very hard to feel any hope at all, as she is fighting stage 4 cancer. We were in the northwest of the US and it was dark and damp and cold and I so wanted to appreciate each moment we have together, but it was so very depressing...and then one day the sun came out and she actually got up, smiling, made her breakfast, took a walk down the driveway...we both felt so uplifted by the sun....and felt grateful for the day and for a brief time all was back to 'normal'....so, I am with ya on the power of sunshine .....🌞
Thank you for sharing more and more about your spiritual side. Being included in the family prayer meant a lot to me. I watched this right before bed and it was perfect. You and the family are so real and that is very special! Love you all! April from SC
Lol I am just the opposite of most people..... I HATE THE SUN !!!!!!!! I HATE HEAT !!!!!!!! Big wind and rain storms make me smile.... I get so excited !!!!! I will cook a big comfort meal or big pot of soup.... Get errands and chores done early and I will sit in my recliner in my pjs and watch it outside..... I sleep like the dead during a severe wind/ thunder storm :). During end of spring and summer I whole up in My house with a/c set to 60'..... I only do errands and shopping first thing in the morning.......retiring to Ocean Park Washington in a few months and cant wait for the cloudy windy rainy weather and 95% less heat and humidity !!!!!!! I would be in hog heaven in Britain !!!!!!!!!!!!
Ha I love heat and you would hate to be in Australia rn! We are currently going through a MASSIVE heatwave and the highest it’s been this summer is 47 degrees Celsius
Okay, no problem. Just so you understand you’re a clinical introvert. Nothing wrong with that, but just understand you’re reaching out to a minority. That’s okay and hopefully for them they will find your comment quite comforting! For MOST of us ... We are somewhere in-between your complete comfort in “hunkering down” shyness, and venturing forward and thriving on connection! I think this is what the Knorpps are experiencing! All spectrums perfectly normal!
Of course it isn't depressing for us as you definitely talk things out. We all have to stop and evaluate what we are doing in our lives. I think that is healthy. Loved your chat tonight. The next place you choose might be sunny. The weather in Seattle is so dreary in the winter as well. That is why so many head south for the winter. Loved this video. Blessings to all of you.
Megan it does not sound romantic and you can get one in Tesco or Argos for less then £10 and with an adapter you can use it all over Europe some have a detachable head and I’d bet that those would fit in the instant pot for travel 👍😀
A stick blender is fairly inexpensive and doesn't take up much room. The one I have is small enough that it could be stored inside the instant pot, so it's not like it is taking up any more space.
January blues, we've all been there! I have been using my SAD lamp in the mornings (I have a blue LED one from Sad Solutions) and that's supposed to help with vitamin D and your circadian rhythms. There's so much to do in London on a rainy day, and if you get a day ticket for bus and tube you can do it without going outside much at all! How immersed in the local culture do you try to get when you're in a new country. I expect you don't watch broadcast TV all that much, but I found when I'm travelling that watching breakfast TV is a really good way to understand how a country works and gets on. I found it very lighthearted and chilled in New Zealand. I would recommend watching BBC Breakfast on BBC 1 (I don't like the morning shows on ITV) but it would give you an idea of what the UK is like! Happy travels to the British Museum tomorrow, it's great!
What an awesome way to put it "Obviously I've chosen THIS because this is more rewarding than "convenience." That applies to sooo many things in life. Anytime you are making a change for something new, something better, something harder and more rewarding there is always a shift in convenience. 👍
Yes Esther! My family have loved visiting Egypt, and my mum travelled there continuously since her teens, so our house is full of Egyptian artefacts (and a few other eras and cultures). We've always loved history and it is amazing, Luxor is an incredible sight, the pyramids are so much bigger, and closer to the city than you'd expect. If you can, making the trip to Jordan for Petra is totally worth it :) Megan, we have a travel blender that also doubles as a drinks cup for days out and is USB charged, they have been a godsend, and about the same size of a coffee flask.
Mike’s comment about the white tile is totally relatable. A house we lived in had a white tile in a bathroom and a white countertop. I vowed that my next house would never had either of those!
I think you two are awesome!!! I love how you guys express yourselves. A cookbook would be awesome! I think your cooking skills are so inspiring I’m trying so hard to cook more. Xx
The Imperial War Museum is the best museum I have been to in London bearing in mind I have lived there for most of my live. It was amazing and amazing for children as it is very interactive and has a lot of models and real life action going on, along with the Duxford Museum which has concord in which is also amazing if you are looking for a whole day out as it is so huge there is so much to do and see loads of aeroplanes
What a lovely vlog! And yeah, it's a rough time of year in the northern hemisphere... the days have started getting longer, actually, but it will be a while before we really feel the effect. It was nice hearing there are others out there (on the vlog and in the comments) who feel it also. Sending you and everyone strength and hanging-in-there-itude!
If I get back to England I would like to go to Jamie Oliver's restaurant. It's designed to teach kids about nutrition. Looks super fun. You have to try scones with clotted cream and tea.(herbal of course). The Roman baths are cool. Big Ben, Stone Henge. Ooh I want to go back again!!! I went in college with my mom, aunt's, grandma , and cousin. It was such an amazing trip.
My son and his travel group (ages 11-17) went to the Convent gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed it - as there were markets for the older kids to look at and street entertainers for the younger ones. It was a rainy day when we went during Spring Break of last year.
Yes! A cookbook would be so fun. I think it’s so cool you travel around and homeschool. I was homeschooled until 10th grade. Keep up the good work and loving seeing all the places you have been.
Awesome couple ...I love you both.i love watching your videos as well.it is ok to feeling the winter blues sometimes that means you are both real...we all feel that way..it is not always rosy and happy all the time but like what you said Megan you won't trade your life with anything else meaning you are happy and fulfilled with your life....
Go to Richmond Park. there will be space to park your van. it is beautiful even in winter. take a picnic. wrap up warm and go see some wild deer. then go for a stroll. the lake is stunning
Other good ones are the natural history museum and the science museum. Science museum is very interactive at some points so the kids will love it! Enjoy
I really enjoy watching your vlog and seeing the different places you've been. I love traveling vicariously with you family, traveling through Europe is on my bucket list.
Hey You guys! Yes, everything happens for a reason and there was a reason I tuned into your vlog tonight instead of the morning. I was feeling a little blue today today. Started out with hearing the Word of God but I still think it could be the after Christmas crash or just the fact that it gets darker earlier in the winter and not getting enough sunshine. You mentioned to check how you eat and that's another thing I need to keep track of better. Thanks so much for this video...it was not depressing at all, it totally resonated with me. Love you guys!
A wonderful gift to your children would be home recipes. Write them down, add pictures and put them in a binder. I made one for my only son when he went to college and he loves it...and still uses it!
Thank you guys for this talk, and for remind me to take a walk with my husband, I will get back to that too, it really helps to talk about our day and our issues!!, and Megan I have to say that I love how your hair is growing! So pretty!!!👩🏼❤️, it is really weird that you are living a wonderful life and still have some issues, I guess we all humans and we are not perfect, but we must try our best to be happy in this life no matter what!! God bless you guys! I really enjoy your videos and I love your beautiful children! ❤️ Love from Mexico 🇲🇽!!! 🙏🙌🌮
I’ve got that feeling at the moment too, I think this weather here in England at the moment is a massive factor. The light hours are so short at the moment which is making things tough, and it’s hard to get motivated. X
Hey, Knorpps! I moved to England from sunny Texas and really struggled with the winter blues. There is not enough sunshine during the day for me. So I bought a happy light on Amazon (search Beurer TL40 Daylight Lamp SAD Light) and really love it. I think it's helping!
Hey guys! You should consider going to South Kensington and seeing the Natural History Museum, V&A, Science Museum and Hyde Park. They're all literally next to each other so you won't suffer with the cold weather. You can spend a whole day there!
Sadly you have come to the UK at the most miserable time of the year😫 Every year there is this miserable time between New Year and Summer, but our Spring is AMAZING, best time of the year watching everything come to life!
You can go to the Natural History Museum and Science Museum in one day. They’re right next to each other and perfect for rainy day! Lots of nice places to eat around there too x
Dr Brene Brown has some GREAT books. One of the biggest takeaways I have gotten from her work was about numbing behaviours. Trying to fill the void with food, wine, TV, etc is so detrimental to your health. Instead sit in the mess and work out healthy ways to move towards your happiness goals.
I'm glad you spoke about needing to change things as I'm not happy with the job I'm in anymore so I'm on the search for a new one. I've been in my current one since I was 17 and I'm now 26 x
I'm originally from Essex (but now in the US), and found winter months hard. I found getting out first thing in the mornings, and working in the afternoon a better fit for a English winter. Also if it's not raining, try going to lively outdoor markets, like Greenwich and Portabello Road, the vibrance in those areas are amazing. If you can find a dry day, the South Bank is an amazing place to go, from the Book market, to Tate Modern, and from Borough Market to the Tower of London, there is lots of color, it's just sometimes hidden
I would definitely recommend trying to find houses with open fires they're good for the soul. Also guys just get on plane (easyJet is v cheap) and go to Spain for a weekend
Already: subscribed, liked, now commented, visited knorpandsouth.com became a wellness advocate... lol!!! I’m ready for a new year and all the exciting things this new things Dōterra is going to allow me to experience! I feel like you guys should be on the travel channel! What’s it’s like to travel with 9 kids around the globe! That would be a great series I mean you have it with RUclips, but the travel channel would be premium 😁
Come to Poland! We ALWAYS have outlets in bathrooms :D Especially visit Krakow, it's the most pretty and english-speakers friendly place ever! and so close to the mountains
Your explanation of Divine Dissonance was so helpful. I look to challenge myself everyday to DO BETTER, and to BE BETTER! And to remember that growth starts with Decision to move beyond my present circumstances. I am staying in the guest room at my Pastor's home with their family, the result of trying to live on inadequate SSI and not being able to afford a place of my own right now. Your insight into the Divine Dissonance was an eye opener for me, Thank you! I look forward to your vlog [?] - I have [4 children all married] and there are 15 grandchildren - and they are all gifts from God.
There are a few people mentioning using Vitamin D, according to Ears, Nose and Throat specialist in Texas, taking Vita D should be accompanied by taking Magnesium in order for the Vitamin D to be absorbed, or use one these: "To continue on D over time, I’d recommend getting D3 in 2000 or 5000 IU capsules. Xymogen is an excellent brand, as is Metagenics. D3 is best absorbed, far better than D2. Doctors often prescribe 50,000 IU as a once-weekly pill, but taking daily doses of D3 (5000 daily until levels increase, then 2000 IU every day or every other day) will serve her well. I, too, am D deficient. And as a Dietitian, these are my recommendations. "
Highly recommend you check out the London science museum - there’s a ton of interactive stuff there that I’m sure the kids will love and loads of interesting stuff to see (I know I loved it) p.s pls come to Cambridge, love you guys! Xx p.p.s my face lit up when I saw you uploaded because I can’t get to sleep (watching a video on my phone probably doesn’t help but at least a feel a bit less alone😂)
I also need more sunshine right now and have some vitamin D, it's gloomy February and in the midwest the continuous grey skies, slushy snow and short days really have increased my winter blues. I have Vitamin D in my cupboard, too. But I'm still trying to figure out way to combat how dreary I feel in the winter. (I do bundle up with the pup though and throw earbuds in for a good podcast and try to walk!).
I live in the Netherlands and I actually don't have an outlet in my bathroom. Just a built in thingy (no idea what it's called. Not even in dutch haha) for my washer that I can turn on and off. But I live in an old house.
Just found this channel and awesome family really great. But what came to me so close its interesting how the family is gathering all together and loving all at same time even the adopted one, But what i noticed is that somehow the adopted usually gang up together hahaha guess facial recognition attracts them or their case.
Great wisdom Megan. I honestly love how you and Mike interact as a couple. The respect and admiration you have for each other is so obvious.
Katherine Kan I️ agreee.
The British museum is really worth it!! Enjoy
Awww pearl is soo pretty in her curly hair 😻
Let me just comment that the convenience of a permanent home is nothing compared to the rewards of your family traveling together and bonding with each other. What a lovely prayer Pearl spoke. I prayed with y'all.
Also your hair with a braid in looks really cool Megan, I love it!!
To help my kids with, “Is it time for?” I put a color code on a clock for certain things. Ours was for time up and breakfast, school, breaks, free time, ready for bed time.
Seeing this beautiful family praying together brought me to tears...
I'm so glad I found y'all! Your family page has quickly became one of my favorite channels. I love your truth and honesty, the children and all their adventures and each of you for just being you!
Love y'all so much - so nice to see a family friendly channel who shows love and kindness and helps spread a positive message x
I love how you're open about examining what may be "off." Thanks for sharing! Definitely appreciate how you talk about physical, sunshine and spirituality. Suzie Towns God bless your sister! May you get a lot of sunshine so you both can feel better 🌞🌞🌞
As another PNW-er, who been sick for weeks though certainly not cancer, may today be brighter and just a little easier.
Such wisdom you were sharing at the end. Thank you for being open and honest. That all makes perfect sense. Have fun at the museum!
Thank you for sharing more and more about your spiritual side. Being included in the family prayer meant a lot to me. I watched this right before bed and it was perfect. You and the family are so real and that is very special! Love you all! April from SC
THANK YOU!! You're discussion on divine dissonance was like an answer to prayer for me. I appreciate you and your family :)
I stopped watching y’all for a few for no reason but found you guys again and this vlogs are littttttt
Loved the sit down chat from the 16:00 mark. Some real nuggets of wisdom there guys. Well done.
Eves growth mentally is very noticable. Its amazing what real love and security will bring out in a child. So many adults do not grasp this concept.
Lol I am just the opposite of most people..... I HATE THE SUN !!!!!!!! I HATE HEAT !!!!!!!! Big wind and rain storms make me smile.... I get so excited !!!!!
I love listening to you talk Megan! Some of the things you talk about really make me think. You seem like a very wise person.
Megan it does not sound romantic and you can get one in Tesco or Argos for less then £10 and with an adapter you can use it all over Europe some have a detachable head and I’d bet that those would fit in the instant pot for travel 👍😀
She just needs to use both hands...than it only takes 60 seconds if she is fast😉😇
A stick blender is fairly inexpensive and doesn't take up much room. The one I have is small enough that it could be stored inside the instant pot, so it's not like it is taking up any more space.
divine dissonance is an AWESOME concept...thank you so much for this.
You should use your Nutribulet to blend part of the soup!
Also Nuribullet is great for whipping cream.
you cant do it while it's hot though
nonirose great point!
If it's the new nutribullet, you can blend it hot :) even has a soup making mode now!
You tied that tie so very well. And with no mirror. Kudos!
I love that you both are so authentic and willing to share with us some things that others might keep hidden. You and your family are such a blessing!
I think the stick mixer would fit inside your instant pot to travel, when it's in two pieces.
Or you could use the blender you already have?
I want to hear more on getting happy...that was so good. I hung your on your every word!
January blues, we've all been there! I have been using my SAD lamp in the mornings (I have a blue LED one from Sad Solutions) and that's supposed to help with vitamin D and your circadian rhythms.

thank you for a little reflection near the end. Been watching for sometime now and i notice you do often of it but think one sinks into me. thank you.
Pearl is always to herself... the kid that does all the thinking....love it
What an awesome way to put it "Obviously I've chosen THIS because this is more rewarding than "convenience." That applies to sooo many things in life. Anytime you are making a change for something new, something better, something harder and more rewarding there is always a shift in convenience. 👍

Just watch you all day today.... you're family is really awesome... hope to see more of your videos soon. ❤
Loved the talk at the end. Made the vlog!!!! Just what I needed to hear. Love you guys and the whole family😁
Thank you for your honesty and candor! I find your videos uplifting and inspiring.

Eve is the funniest little girl. I so enjoy watching her. How lucky she is to have such amazing parents.

sunshine and happiness coming your way.
I'll be first in line to get your cookbook! SN: You've convinced me (intentionally) to get a presser cooker lol it would make life easier for me
Awesome couple ...I love you both.i love watching your videos as well.it is ok to feeling the winter blues sometimes that means you are both real...we all feel that way..it is not always rosy and happy all the time but like what you said Megan you won't trade your life with anything else meaning you are happy and fulfilled with your life....
your talk is also making me reflect and look inside
Thank you for sharing.......
Again and again.
Jan and Feb are always difficult months for me as I battle SAD here in southern Ontario. All the best to you...
Ok you left me feeling happy! I enjoyed our visit this fine Sunday😀 I look forward to next time ❤️
Go to Richmond Park. there will be space to park your van. it is beautiful even in winter. take a picnic. wrap up warm and go see some wild deer. then go for a stroll. the lake is stunning
Your marriage is goals. Thanks for keeping it real. Love you guys!
British Museum is amazing! Definitely check out the Egyptian exhibit, was always my favourite when I was younger!

You’re such a beautiful family!! Love watching your Family videos!😍😍😇
Awww, love seeing Pearl lead the prayer (?). Thank you for sharing your day with us.
Ugh...I hate mopping floors!
Ur such amazing loving family ,love u all so much x
Pearls hair looked so good curly!!! Love it!
Sadly you have come to the UK at the most miserable time of the year😫 Every year there is this miserable time between New Year and Summer, but our Spring is AMAZING, best time of the year watching everything come to life!
You found a really nice house to stay in while in London. The yard is huge.
You can go to the Natural History Museum and Science Museum in one day. They’re right next to each other and perfect for rainy day! Lots of nice places to eat around there too x
I love your communication with each other.
I love you guys! I hope you're enjoying your stay in England xxxx
Love the prayer. He mops too. Omg Mike is s great guy.
I would definitely recommend trying to find houses with open fires they're good for the soul. Also guys just get on plane (easyJet is v cheap) and go to Spain for a weekend
Welcome to England guys ha. We don't get much sunshine here ☀ I hope you are enjoying your time here, other than the weather 😉 xxx
Great wisdom - gave me some food for thought
Already: subscribed, liked, now commented, visited knorpandsouth.com became a wellness advocate... lol!!! I’m ready for a new year and all the exciting things this new things Dōterra is going to allow me to experience! I feel like you guys should be on the travel channel! What’s it’s like to travel with 9 kids around the globe! That would be a great series I mean you have it with RUclips, but the travel channel would be premium 😁
Come to Poland! We ALWAYS have outlets in bathrooms :D
Especially visit Krakow, it's the most pretty and english-speakers friendly place ever! and so close to the mountains

My family doesn't have a hand mixer either but we have a nutribullet, so we use that to make soup.
Love watching your videos! Greetings from Canada!
Sorry you're feeling alone. But you're not alone in feeling alone!! Hugs!
Isla Graham Yes definitely the science museum is amazing! Also I definitely see Andrew being in his element there.
trippinontussin hugs back to you, thankyou for the empathy X
1redpancake my thoughts exactly!
Love too see u guys pray
I live in the Netherlands and I actually don't have an outlet in my bathroom. Just a built in thingy (no idea what it's called. Not even in dutch haha) for my washer that I can turn on and off. But I live in an old house.
Good talk, good reminder for all, check your pilot light!
Just found this channel and awesome family really great.
But what came to me so close its interesting how the family is gathering all together and loving all at same time even the adopted one, But what i noticed is that somehow the adopted usually gang up together hahaha guess facial recognition attracts them or their case.
Yes, please come to Egypt, you will love it very much.
Love the advice you shared.
