What undertones are in the BL shades? Everything else seems to have known undertones (brown for A, yellow for B's) but I can't find anywhere what hues are resembled in the bleached shades? I chose BL4 but it did look a bit grey to me
Hi thanks for your comment, when it comes to dental shades, particularly the bleached shades (BL), the undertones can indeed be a bit different from the traditional A and B shades. The BL shades are specifically designed to mimic the appearance of naturally bleached teeth and aim for a brighter, whiter look. If you're looking for a less grey and more natural white appearance, you might want to consider moving up to BL3 or even BL2, depending on how bright you want your smile to be.

Hi, @basmagamal6401 What a wonderful question! Yes, the thickness of a veneer can affect the color choice. Thinner veneers might need a whiter shade since they let more of your natural tooth color show through. If you still need guidance, feel free to connect with us!

Thanks for watching, I'm glad I can help you and others. If you're having trouble deciding between two colors, I have a suggestion that might make the decision easier. You can request your dentist to provide color samples of both BL1 and BL2. Dentists usually have a color guide that can help you identify which shade suits you best. During the trial, you can examine both colors in front of a mirror and choose the one that matches your preferences. This method can provide you with a more accurate visual representation, and you'll be able to make an informed decision. Thank you for considering this option. Best regards.

Dear Crystal, thanks for your comment. Veneer may change their color depending on their material. For example: if they are Composite veneers, chances are they will change. Hello, thanks for your comment: Hopefully this answer can help others "In my opinion the best way to decide between 2 colors, is to consult with your doctor and specifically ask them to place both colors near your lips and allow you to examine them in front of a mirror. Most dentists can perform this try-in using a color guide, which is readily available in every dental office. Very helpful video! Does age matter? I'm 61 (very fair-skinned) and in the process of 11 veneers and replacing front crowns. My previous, old crowns were a B1 shade, and beaching my lower, they still reach a B1 shade (or close too), but as we age, I know teeth age too and get more yellow. I want it to be brighter than the old B1, but not by much because my lowers are not being done. I'm torn between OM2 vs OM3 - afraid OM2 is too bright and maybe OM3 will be too yellow. feedback please?
Look at it this way. Would you rather your teeth look too natural or too bright. If you go OM2 they might look fake with your skin color and people will know you had work done to your teeth and OM3 will be a little bit more yellow but it will be brighter than anyone else's teeth in the room and it wont look to noticeable.

Thank you for your comment! 😊 I'm glad to hear you love the brighter teeth! Sometimes, brighter shades can create an illusion of larger teeth due to the way light reflects off them. No, they will not. I have BL2, they look like more natural and white but they are not very white.
@@kristinearshakyan7757Did you get eMax veneers or zirconia? I am also in the process of selecting my shade. Bl2 is my favorite for now but I don’t want them to look overly fake white and artificial 🙈
Brought up some good points to consider. Many ask for BL1 then complain their teeth look too big. This was very helpful.

It’s too white for dark skin

Testing temporary veneers can also help you see the color before deciding. Discuss your concerns with your dentist for the best result.

I'm not sure what you were thinking.

Why ? Are they the one that are super neon blue white ?
I’m doing BL1 as well, to me that’s what you want, you spend so much money get white white smile. I don’t care if people think they look fake I’m gonna rock them. I bet your smile is beautiful. You just aren’t used to having very white teeth. You will get used to it.

I am having the complete upper arch done 6 implants, in the bottoms having four implants and the remaining teeth crowned. I am of medium complexion and feel B1 has too much yellow, so I am considering either BL3 or BL4 favoring BL4 so not to make a mistake. Does the size of veener itself can affect which color to choose?
For examble the thinner veneer needs whiter shade ??

Hi Yess. The difference between BL.. and M. is that BL belongs to the "Classic" shade guide, while M belongs to the "Most Recent" version of that same tooth shade guide, called "3D Master," but basically, BL1 is the same 0M1 & BL3 = 0M3.

Will the BL 1 change color? I just got mine done and I didn’t wanted the whitest shade, but the doctor said they’re only had two shades and the other one was a slight yellow so I choose the whiter one. She put a yellow cement to the back so it doesn’t appear so white, but it’s still too white for my liking. I’m still trying to get use to them.
Dear Crystal, thanks for your comment. Veneer may change their color depending on their material. For example: if they are Composite veneers, chances are they will change. But, Porcelain veneers remain their color for many years. What type of material are yours?
Giving yourself time to get used to the color you have, sounds AWESOME. Especially these first weeks when you got them because significant changes take time, you may love them soon...keep me updated. :)

By doing this, you'll gain a more accurate visual representation and be better equipped to choose the shade that suits you best" Kind regards

Split the difference and do a 2.5

Does smoking cigarettes make them darker with time?
Yes they do, your can actually become brown
Hi @mytchybarbie,
Yes, smoking cigarettes can potentially stain veneers over time, especially composite veneers. Porcelain veneers tend to resist color stains better. It's important to maintain good oral hygiene and limit habits like smoking to preserve the appearance of your veneers. Regular dental cleanings can also help remove surface stains and keep your smile bright. Thanks for your question!
