I like this unit because it can hold a lot of money and prizes. so you don't have to service as frequent. the only con for me about this unit is the lights. I think I'll still get one.
You won’t be disappointed. The great thing about this unit is it takes up very little space. And it does hold a lot of 2 to 3 inch prizes. If you were able to modify the claws to accept scoops, which can be done, you could put candy in the machine instead of toy prizes. Eventually when the prizes run out I was going to modify the claws to a scooper so it can become a candy machine. When and if my kids ever get to that point, I will definitely post a video about it. If you do end up purchasing the machine, I would definitely go through candymachines.com. They always have sales and their technician Kevin is a great guy and is more than willing to help you out with any problems you may have with your machine. Also they give you a one-year warranty on it. Just keep in mind that it will come freight on a semi truck. The machine will be strapped on a mini pallet.
Unfortunately there is no way to turn off the lights or slow them down. There is just a function to change the lighting in different modes. But in my opinion it looks all the same.
Is there a particular problem you’re having with the machine that you own or do you just want to know in general what common problems a claw grab machine has? If it’s the later, I would rank them by top three. Claw coil failure, electronic component failure (PCB), and string breakage. How do these happen you ask? Claw coil failure happens by the coil overheating due to the claw getting hung up. Best way to prevent this is by not overfilling the machine. Electronic component failure, well, sometimes you just get bad inferior crap that is sold to you. There’s really no way to prevent this, it just happens. And string breakage, that is due to wear, tear, and hangups. Once again try not to overfill the machine even though it is very tempting at times.

Can you set the machine for bonus plays? So $1=1 play, $5=6 plays, $10=13 plays, $20=30 plays?
