Thanks for this series. Haven't watched them all yet, but very nicely done. ONE request, though. Might you please add how long the strings (white and blue) need to be (at least at a minimum) for each of the different types? Thanks and Blessings.
I've been asking this question for almost two years. Whenever I tie these (any style) they come out pretty well, except that they are between 4 and 5.5 inches and the strings that hang below aren't more than 6", so if I want them to hang outside of my pants around my shirttail (I absolutely do), they are never long enough. I've experimented with raw lengths of up to 5' and still they are not right. I haven't tied any in a while, but I believe I came up with a 68" length and that would make them long enough to have them on the outside of your pants so YOU can both see and reach them (which I have always presumed to be the point). If you want them tucked in, the strings are ok at 48" with the shumash at 55"
@@JenInOz Hi. Thanks for the question. You start with a single white winding as well. So the reason is that we do not downgrade in matters of purity. The start and the end are both in pure undyed wool.
thank you so much. is there any way you can tell me what these various tying combinations mean? I hope i am correct in what i have learned so far. 7-8-11-13 means yahweh is one. what do all the other typing styles mean? thanks for your help.
Please do not vowelise the name of G-d, this is absolutely prohibited. A lot of styles spell different names/sentences, so you have to name ones in particular.
Thank you i couldn't find about this method

What is the purpose of/reason for having the single white wrap at the beginning and end?
