I laughed so hard at this when you realized what the song was about. 😂😂😂 Welcome the world of every 90's kid raised on country music. We all love this song cuz it's upbeat and sounds fun, then you hit the age where you start understanding the lyrics, like what did he just say? 😂😂😂 We pretty much all had the same reaction you just did. It's great. 😂
Thank you so much I sincerely hope you never stop listening to my music 🎶❤️
Almost all garth brooks songs. When I got old enough too understand all the 90s country music it ruined everything like the song fancy 😆
I knew what it was about then. Listen to music for the message.
@@jenkinsbushae1063 I still love fancy. It's a story about overcoming the odds and hustling to make it in life. It's about not judging sex workers. It's a pretty awesome song.
Yep! Same with Thunder Rolls! Lots of cheating going on lol
Everybody knows Garth's Friend in Low Places!!
Only the live versions so you get the 3rd verse
@@donmartin7728 took the words right out of my mouth lol
Yes!
Yep friends in low places or the night I called the old man out
Gotta do the live version so you hear the 3rd verse!
A fun one is Ain't Going Down til the sun comes up. Calling Baton Rouge.. Friends in Low Places..live version if possible!!
He drove his rig into the hotel room that she and her lover was in.
@@rachel-in-the-208 Well, he seemed a little unclear on that, so I thought I'd help him out. But, for the most part, I think by the end he understood. I just posted too quickly during the reaction. LOL
Sherri Smith LOL - I was joking on the fact that he was confused ... I didn’t mean you 😁
@@rachel-in-the-208 Oh, I knew what you were saying. I wouldn't have taken offense even if you had meant me. I visit the land of confusion often! LOL
Yo your reaction when it hit you with the graveyard was priceless hahaha you hit us with the 😮
Yep
That look when you paused it and said HE KILLED HER?!? 😂😂😂😂
The actual story behind it is funny! The songwriter had a copy of a newspaper with a truck in a hotel and Garth pretty much said that is a country song lol
You are correct
No he was trying to finish one of his albums and his songwriter came in with that newspaper with the headlines of that truck slammed in the side of the motel, and when Garth asked him what he’s got, the songwriter said your new song and 10 minutes later they busted that song out at a diner
I loved when garh told this story. People were shook.
The Dance is a must listen Garth Brooks song
The thunder rolls
Well I love thunder Rolls he would have to listen to the unreleased version because there’s a huge extra verse that clears everything up
@@mrtoad8585 Otherwise known as the "Concert Version"
Thunder Rolls Live Version
Definitely listen with 3 verse. Same with Friends in low places, must hear 3rd verse.
In the long version (spoil alert) who dies? Does she shoot him or herself?
Reba McEntire "The night the lights went out in Georgia" and "Fancy".
He never hit the brakes and he was shifting gears. Legend right there.
My favorite Garth Brooks song is "The Dance"
❤️
that is a good one one of my favorites is the storm
Yeeeeessss! So many great Garth songs but this is in the top
Thunder Rolls, Rodeo, and The Dance are my favorites in order. Shameless is great too.
@Mike Mike What do you mean?
"Standing outside the fire" official video. Great song, but the video is a must.
So true!
Live version, video! Epic
"In Lonesome Dove," is a great Garth Brooks song. Great story.
One of my favorites.
Just to give you an idea of how popular Garth Brooks is, he did a free concert in Central Park. The NYFD estimated the crowd at 980,000 people. Almost 1 million showed up for one of his shows. His current tour only does stadium shows, if you can't hold 65,000+ he's not coming there. All of his shows sell out in minutes.
Justin Dar multiple nights even. He does have a Vegas show at Bellagio? too.
I love the line " he never hits the brakes and he was shifting gears lmfao.
Watching your reaction to that was great!!! I've always though that song needed a third verse though. What great imagery through the lyrics. It's got everything an older country song needs, love, cheating, alcohol....love it!
Garth brooks is officially the best selling solo artist in the US, beating even Elvis. Randy Travis (a country legend) that broke out about the same time as Garth Brooks once said "Well the rest of us, we are in the business of Country, he is in the business of Garth Brooks"
Yes. He drove the diesel into the motel! Lol! You gotta do "And the Thunder Rolls" next. That's a great story too!
I just love his reaction once he realizes all of it
Love Garth
No bad Garth Brooks songs!!! No. 1 selling artist of ALL-TIME!!!!
Only in the US. Elvis is actually the largest selling solo artist ever with over 1.2 Billion records sold worldwide. Alot of his early record sales in the US were done before the RIAA.
Elvis. Also had over a 20 year head start on him.
most are good there are a few i would skip.
Sux that Garth pulls his music from RUclips but his music is amazing! My rockin’ favorites from Garth are That Summer; Standing Outside the Fire; Ain’t Goin’ Down (‘Til the Sun Comes Up); Callin’ Baton Rouge; Rodeo; and Two of a Kind, Workin’ on a Full House. My emotional favorites of his are If Tomorrow Never Comes; Unanswered Prayers; Wolves; What She’s Doing Now; The River; Learning to Live Again; That Ol’ Wind; Somewhere Other Than The Night; Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old); The Dance; She’s Every Woman; and In Lonesome Dove. But his most powerful songs are Mom; The Thunder Rolls; The Night I Called The Old Man Out; We Shall Be Free; and The Change.
Totally missed "the beaches of cheyenne"...
Great list, but What about Cowboy Bill? Let's be honest, Garth only makes hits! That man is a genius.
A fun song is B Double E Double R U N ( beer run)
Standing Outside The Fire is one of my favorite Garth songs. Wild is the Wind, The Red Strokes.
😂😂 OMG- the look in your face when you realized 😂😂
Mama was Thotting it up at the hotel and Papa crashed his truck into her room! Lol
My interpretation of the song is that he drove his rigs straight through their motel room. But then again and I'll honestly I am a truck driver
Garth has soooo many great songs!
Edit...the above comment was before I watched the reaction... 😂 😂 you were too funny!!
Chris Stapleton Tennessee Whiskey is smooth and sounds like country jazz, and Jason Alden Dirt Road Anthem is def. worth a listen
Need to do Garth Brooks to young feel this old....he actually throws a praise to another sinker
Blake Shelton's Ol' Red is pretty much the sequel sung from papa's point of view afterwards
I’d say both live versions of “Friends in Low Places” and “The Thunder Rolls” and you should also hear “Ain’t Going Down (Til the Sun Comes Up).”
Garth Brooks has an insane amount of amazing songs. THe Storm, The Thunder Rolls, Shameless, just wow.
You are a ball of sunshine! Love your energy and sense of humor.
The Dance, Two of a Kind, Unanswered Prayers, Shameless
Garth has strict rules with his music so be careful
Facts.
Never seen a reaction to Garth stat up long due to that.
I bet the video will be taken down in a month when Garth finds out! 😂
Because that's not the Garth Brooks version of the song. It's some nobodies cover.
Tom Grove how do people not hear this????
This was a great reaction. I'm superuser you actually found Garth. He doesn't key his Music on you tube much. Yes a great artist.
"HE NEVER HIT THE BREAKS AND HE WAS SHIFTING GEARS"....imagine an 18 wheeler cab coming straight at you in a hotel room....yeah....he killed her!!
Garth " Thank God for unanswered prayers!
( p.s. you're adorable😁❤)
Thank you so much I sincerely hope you never stop listening to my music 🎶❤️
The Dance, If tomorrow never comes, Long neck bottle
I think you mean, "They're going crazy on that STEEL guitar".
You missed about 3 E's...
Thank you
"Some of you got them ,so dont even look at me like that" hahah lol
I got one...she's a free spirit. Haha
Gadgets and gizmos.
I almost fell out of the chair 😂😂😂
Just stumbling in and had to cackle at that face. So happy, jamming away 'Mamas in the graveyard papas in the pen' *Almost hear the needle screech* I know this is a few years old but still...happy to see people discovering Garth even so recently.
He has great songs but listen to his ultimate drinking song. “Friends in low places”
Definitely try to find him doing The Thunder Rolls!!
The extended version!
Yes; The Thunder Rolls...mama’s reply. But yes, be careful as Garth holds his music close to his chest - and I don’t blame him!
Your reaction is lovely! Yeah 80's and 90's were wild!!!
Also listen to ‘Rodeo’ and Tomorrow never comes’.
Okay, here it is. You have earned my Sub today! I have watched a few of your reactions and found them worthy of a few likes! But your face when you understood what "mamas in the graveyard and papas in the pen" ment, wheeee doggies, Priceless! Good on ya brotha!!!
Friends in Low Places!
Garth puts on the BEST libe shows!
And that was just 1 of the reasons why Garth was so popular. He took his songs places nobody thought he would go.
I'm impressed that you actually found Garth on YT, most of the time its impersonators outright claiming to be him.
That ain't Garth.
@@tomgrove6638 yea it is
@@whatarethose6159 no. It's not. Stop lying.
@@tomgrove6638 that’s clearly Garth bro hate to break it to you... go listen to the song on Amazon music and it sounds the same
@@whatarethose6159 Garth has some of the strictest copyright restrictions because he owns his own music rights. Very rarely does anything on RUclips with his music last more than a few days. This is not him. Sorry bucko. Just some random cover nobody. There are several that sound very similar to his. But they are not him. Better double check your Amazon music.
Standing Outside the Fire! Favorite Garth jam
Thunder rolls is a great one by Garth Brooks
Your reaction was funny, especially when you said maybe she is actually being faithful.
The most upbeat song about homicide in history. 😂
This is why he has 9 diamond selling albums. Hes a hell of a story teller. Listen to The Thunder Rolls
That song was actually done by Tanya Tucker but she never released it on radio so Garth Brooks cut it and made it a hit then a few years later Tanya Tucker released her version of it
@@stephenthomas4079 He's the songwriter. Gave it to Tanya Tucker. She didn't release it. Wrote the third verse on her manager's insistence. He *almost* let Trisha Yearwood cut it, but took it back last second, and cut it himself.
Didn't think a song about a man murdering his wife could be so upbeat... My father really did kill my mother (a month before my 11th birthday) while they were separating and she was moving on... The biggest tragedy of my life and it was definitely not upbeat. I'm 36 years old with kids on my own and it's still affects me to this day. 😔
Now one of my favorite messages from Garth is his video we shall be free it's amazing I doubt you'll ever find it
Love this song.....this is one of my goto songs for karaoke......thanks Holla!!! Always brings a great applause
The best part of country music are the stories behind the lyrics and what it all means. Something I miss from the 90s rap.
One EVERY kid can relate to....The Night I Called the Old Man Out
I loved your reaction to this. Priceless.
Thank God for unanswered Prayers is my favorite. It reminds me of a time in my life
“He never hit the brakes and he was shifting gears!”😂😂😂
That "old diesel engine" was probably a screaming Jimmie aka Detroit Diesel turboed
I have listened to Garth since he started. The dance is a tribute favorite to one of my best friends of 34 years. Two of a kind is one of my husband of 30 years and I songs. And much too young is my best friend of 33 years song.
A good Country musician, spins a yarn or just tells a good story.
He never hit the brakes and he was shifting gears
The Thunder Rolls. Do it you won’t be disappointed. Garth is awesome
Was awesome an always love your videos thanku love an god bless x
Seen Garth in concert and it was absolutely amazing!! Please do a reaction to his song The Dance, Unanswered Prayers, or To Make You Feel My Love. Thanks for another great reaction!! You're Awesome!! 💜
Thank you so much I sincerely hope you never stop listening to my music 🎶❤️
😂 the last verse “ he killed her “
😂 shit was funny
I loved this reaction video, it was my first time seeing your channel. I checked it out because I saw Garth Brooks in the title, however, if you are going to be reacting to Garth, it has to Friends in Low Places, the full version; that is the song that put him on the map. The Thunder Rolls, The Dance, Ain't Going Down and Standing Outside the Fire are some of his best songs.
The Netflix doc brought me here. I was wrapped up in rap and MJ when he was at his peak. So Im catching up and mad I missed out on this good music early on. Glad Im here now.
4:30; the moment when you realize what he's talking about..
Mama's in the graveyard; Papa's in the pen.. (As in the penitentiary)
Ok so I'm late to this reaction. But the first time hearing Garth? You'll never be the same. His live concerts are fckn 🔥 🔥 🔥. He is an ultimate showman.
lol i needed this reaction. You are hilarious 🤣
I do love me some Garth! Probably my favorite Garth song is the live version of Standing Outside the Fire. Even if you can't do a reaction to it, it's WELL worth the listen.
The Red Strokes, More Than A Memory, Learning To Live Again great songs
Rodeo and Dancing Inside the fire is great
The lyric video are great. But, you really need to see the videos of his live performances. He's amazing on stage.
I just love your smile.
Best reaction glad I saw it. Hope it stays up. And impressive you found an original. His live performances are amazing. He is a showman
Man I wish I could hear these songs for the first time again!
I’ve seen him live several times! This is AWESOME live!!!
Thank you so much I sincerely hope you never stop listening to my music 🎶❤️
Another good one by Garth is, “I’ve Got Friends In Low Places”!!!
Loved the reaction, and seeing you broaden your horizons.
some of y'all got em, don't even loo at me like that ! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Chicks - Goodbye Earl 😁
Garth was a visionary back in the day. They'd ban his songs/videos from country stations, but we all loved them anyway. 🤣
Fun fact. This song is based on a true story. When they went to write it one of the writers threw a newspaper down and said "here's our next love song". Was a picture of a truck plowed into a notell motel. No survivors
I love every song this man has sings
Loved your reaction when you figured out what happened 😆😄😅
Two must listen to Garth songs
1.More than a memory
2. The dance
He drive his rig right into her hotel room. Lights OUT. 4eva
All of Garth Brooks songs are amazing.
Thank you so much I sincerely hope you never stop listening to my music 🎶❤️
This is country's "she fucked about and found out" song.
Country doesn't discuss outright murder much. "Cocaine" by Johnny Cash, "That Georgia Sun is blood red and going down" by Tanya Tucker and "The Night the lights went out in Georgia" by Reba are the ones that readily come to mind. Also "Country Folk can survive" by Hank Williams Junior.
The kids are fine. Grandpa took them in. They grew up and had a smashing career singing country music all over the globe.
I've known this song since the late 90's. A remix about the kids never even entered my mind. Genius!
It's country music no remix needed. Lots of family they are raising the kids. They just take a punch and move on. 🙂
Love all his songs great fun song here
Definitely react to Friends in Low Places! You will enjoy it!
Friends in low places, The Thunder Rolls, The Dance
