Good tips. I have found most healers are played quite well and most tanks are played well. There are a huge number of DPS players doing exactly what you talked about, making it hard for everyone. Either running ahead and killing everything before the tank even gets there or running ahead and making it impossible for the tank to do its job. This makes it hard for the healer. Easy to keep the tank alive, nothing is attacking it but once all the DPS characters are dead its going to be a frustrating battle (if you survive)....And yes, its so hard to heal DPS characters in this situation. They are usually running all over the place.
I did my first dungeons a couple days ago and this is exactly what happened, a dps would charge in nearly die and run back almost every pack. When the tank actually got to pull (pretty rare) it was nice and easy, otherwise it's incredibly difficult to find and heal 1 person in a mess of allies and enemies, especially when they're dropping fast. Which is actually why I'm here, it's very different from simply clicking a name plate and healing. I'll keep trying to heal them as it's good practice but tbh as far as I'm concerned if they die it's their own damn fault, it's far more annoying for the tank imo.
This is so true. The dps that run ahead... then I’m out of mana, well divinity and we start dying or no one steps out of mechanics. I’m like you know I know you guys have 50k item level and I may have 30k item level but I still have to keep us alive here lol let’s give me a break yeah?
Well the cleric healer will be the first character I do, so this was helpful, came here after the stream got cut short after i subbed :). As someone coming into the game on console this week (PS4) so getting knowledge like this is such a huge help thank you very much Fuzzy
No problem. I think the stream thing was just a glitch as it seems to let me stream still and it has published my stream. I am away for a few days but will continue with this character on my Next stream which will be Tuesday or Wednesday
I am planning to play again. I stopped at mod 15..waiting for the update :), so in the meantime I search about healing and came out here. Keep up that good work. It refreshed my brains. Thx for the video. You got a new follower! 👍😊🤙
No problem. Mod 17 is already live on console and PC. I almost stopped at mod 15 as it was mind numbingly boring. I know a lot of people do not like the changes post Mod 15, but I actually prefer the game as it is now...especially if you play a healer
I think it seems to be the opinion of a lot of people in the game that building crit is not really worth it and just to stack power. When mod 17 drops with all the new changes I can bring a video out on the crit heals
I'm new to neverwinter, currently got a level 17 cleric ...the only 'heal' spells I can see is the Hallowed Ground one and Bastion of Health. Am I right in thinking I essentially BoH the tank as needed and then throw in a HG for the rest of the group now and then perhaps? I'm trying to understand exactly what I should be casting/when/to whom during any group runs. Thanks for any help.
Not sure I do not really dabble much in them. You are kind of limited now due to energy. You could certainly power level them, but it would involve buying morale. If you concentrate on one profession and always do the highest level crafts you can it is pretty quick
There are a couple of false assumptions here. 1. That the average Tank is capable of holding aggro. 2. That the average DPS won't rush ahead to chase top damage dealt and just expect you to keep them alive while they stand dead centre of every red circle they can find.
Holding aggro is easy if the DPS let you get there first. If a tank cannot hold aggro whilst getting to mobs first then I would place them well below average :) The main issue is as you point out is number 2. The majority of dungeons you will have at least 1 DPS charge ahead. If they do this and can cope then it is fine. If they stand in red and generally die I just let them stay dead :)
Yes you can be as all healers can be specced for dps when you are running solo. I didnt do group content much with friends I just joined queues solo most the time
I am pretty sure on my cleric I run one ebonised ring and then the ring from the seal store that gives you lots of crit. Although I will be changing this soon as going to be moving away from a crit build. I will probably run something with either combat advantage or run one of the shadowstalker rings
I do have an account on PC but I only got a gaming PC in the last year and I had so much invested in my xBox account that I could not justify moving over. I tend to only hop over to PC to test preview and big changes

When will mod17 show up?! :-)

Great video! Could the next one be on Fighters? 📹
I'm not sure what my next video will be yet. I don't play fighter much so might not be able to give good advice for them. Thanks for the comments 👍
I really like this video but I would have liked to have seen more on the crit heal build.

You will get more spells as you level up. BoH is the go to heal for clerics along with intercession that you will pick up later on
Hi fuzzy off topic but can you still powerlevel profesions in mod 16

I do feel my dps could be better but I’m not sure how to increase it...any help would be appreciated Fuzzy 😁
I slot Geas and also run a high rank vorpal which makes a massive difference. Other than that there is not much you can do.
So should I be a healer if I don’t have friends to play with ?
Yes you can be as all healers can be specced for dps when you are running solo. I didnt do group content much with friends I just joined queues solo most the time
One of my rings is agonized for range dmg, what are the 2 you are using?

feels like 7 mins of the video is you talking about toggling fucking health bars to always on.
Why don't you play on a PC?
