  • Friday, Bruce Kitt of the Northwest Airlines History Center showed off just some of the memorabilia for the museum’s collectibles sale on Saturday. They include a book of the early history of the airlines, sketches of its later airplanes, and even printed timetables from past flights.

How many Northwest Captains were turned into First Officers by Delta?

We couldn’t even get into the museum. The museum is on the 3rd floor of the Crown plaza hotel. It is offered free to the public. They say you don’t need to be a hotel guest. There is a elevator which goes to the 3rd floor but you can't get there without a hotel key card. We we're told by the hotel receptionist we'd have to take the stairs, which does offer access to the museum without a hotel room key card. She even said, “It's only one flight of stairs”. One flight is no problem for an able person but my wife is disabled and has great difficulty with stairs. After several appeals and actually talking to a museum volunteer who came back to the front desk with us and talked to the receptionist lady on our behalf, Crown Plaza was unyielding and would not make any other accommodations for us, (like riding us up on the elevator, which seemed like a reasonable request). We drove about 6 hrs from Chicago,IL but there was absolutely no way I was going to alienate my wife. I am going to complain about the poor accommodations for those with disabilities Crown Plaza offers though.

@@KoharuHinatafan yeah well, I would have said nice things if they weren’t so $#!¥ . After driving 400 miles and getting turned away will influence if a human being is going to say nice things about you. Good luck, though. Hope if you go one day you don’t need Handicap accessibility and are able to get in. I would not recommend though. Take away, @$$#0|€§ should not prosper. But what do you say…can we leave my experience up, just in case some one else can benefit from it? What do you say?

I have a lot of airline flight schedules from several airlines I had collected over the years from those still around and those aren't still around including Pan Am, Eastern and so on.
